A hype leather based scent on the RUclips platform which feels more like an entry level niche leather to me.

Cheers Marc , I like leather and the whole falconers glove thing I find intriguing enjoyed this review ✌️🙏👍
yes interesting idea by the brand.
I love the OG fragrance reviewers. I use to be a big time collector 10 years ago, sold most of my bottles, came back to see two of my favs passed away, but I’m glad you are making them still man. Keep at it! The new big RUclipsrs all seem like they do it for the wrong reasons. You show a passion for the art and I like that.
🫡 good ol reliable is still here! 😁
Merry Christmas 🎄 Marc
Love this review, I’m into leather scents but only when they are subtle.
You'll like this one!
Great review, I like falcon leather a lot!
Thanks for watching!
Great video and I enjoyed it and I'm going to try it and have a blessed day
Thank you! You too!
Arquiste Nanban is a very sexy spicy-leather that no one ever talks about. Arquiste is an artistic niche brand that is so under the radar!
Nanban is one of my faves for fall and winter. The house gets no love except for a brief bit of hype for Misfit a few years ago. While Misfit is solid, Nanban is much more interesting to me. Sydney Rock Pool is a great summer banger as well.
noted! Thank you!
Good work!
I have Santal Austral, worth to try
noted! Thank you!
Started watching half way. Doesnt sound like he likes it. Falcon Leather is yhe smoothest smokiest cool fragrance i ever smelt
It's a solid scent, just not a huge love for me. I own so many leathers and this went into that solid spectrum.
Very nice review.
From the brand, « Encens Suave » is well done. A warm café/encens with a touch of vanilla. Samples must be the best way to discover their line.
I was going to sample that one, you make it sound interesting with the coffee/incense.
@@robes08 It's the same sort of style/thing you describe in Falcon Leather, but incense instead. The brand is not really for niche heads.
Robes08 Going Strong 2024🎉
💪💯
I felt birch is through and through but does go down and gets engulfed by resinous/woody/spicy notes. Very posh, smooth leather scent with an opening that has some personality. Great performance on me and surprisingly easy to wear! I second the suggestions for you to try “Incens Suave”!
I def. will be sniffing the Incense.
Lately ive been playing with Mercedes Benz Le Parfum and quite a pleasant leather designer. Really reminds me of Ombre Leather.
interesting, I do need to get my nose on that Mercedes
What I'm looking for, nice easy to wear/like fragrance. I'm tired a little of complexed heavy frags. This can be worn anytime, anywhere.
Yes you need some of those as well. Balance is key.
@@robes08Little bit disappointed. Ombre Leather DNA is all over Falcon Leather. Will try a few more times.
I love the birch tar hit that the opening gives. Could you recommend a couple frags that riff more on that birch tar note? You said there were a few that do it better in your conclusion. Thanks
Terror & Magnificence BeauFort London - try this one! You won't regret it.
if you haven't tried it yet, I would recommend trying Acqua Di Parma colonia leather. it's more of a sophisticated take on Tom Fords ombre leather. it's discontinued but it now comes in a black bottle instead of brown. and also now just says Acqua Di Parma leather EDP.
plus the perfumer is none other than, Francois Demachy.
love the colonia oud he did as well.
I do need to get my nose more on some ADP, I've ignored the brand for several years since my initial sniffs from them.
You nailed it completely! I am also a Leather frag lover and this one is just average because of the soft drydown. The opening is just heaven but that’s it. The sad story: This is the brand’s best one indeed! The Oud Seven is also quite disappointing and too sweet for my taste. I prefer Tuscan Leather Intense or Xerjoff Homme for leather based perfumes or Oud Wood Intense or Nishane Mana for oud centered stuff. Best regards from Hesse/Germany
It introduced itself very well but died immediately sadly for me. Hate to see that this may be the best of the brand.
I'm waiting for some samples next week including Encens suave from the same brand
I do need to get my nose on that one.
Yes I get everything you said, but on my skin the birch tar lasts longer almost the entire wear of the fragrance, it definitely tones down but it doesn't disappear, what I noticed this time is that it's stronger than previous aplications, might be the maceration, I really don't know. Definitely an 8 not the best I have, Cuoium is a 10 for me, but I really like it. The only two I know from the brand are this one and Encens Suave, Encens smells similar to the dry down of Babycat but more concentrated, like it's on fire, I love it. I want to explore more from the brand. Thanks for the Samplin' Marc!!!
no problem my friend, love seeing your take on this one.
If you like birch tar, try Hiram Green Hyde 😍😍it is a work of art
Hiram Green is definitely a brand worth checking 👍🏼
Enjoy your scents.
Oh yes. Hyde is an incredible fragrance journey
from all the comments after yours it seems like I'm missing a gem here. noted.
Great video kid, just getting into leather frags and I purchased Gucci Guilty absolute.... I love it! Any recommendations on niche frags in that area?
Dark Lord by Kilian is made also by Morillas and honestly he used this recipe as well so you may want to start there.
nice review , i have Radical Rose from the same brand , it's divine, i never test a rose fragrance like this , i'm sure you will change your opinion about the brand
I hope so too!
I saw your face million times on Fragrantica, but I finally managed to meet you here. Thanks for your detailed review! I had two bottles of Falcon Leather, sold both and now I just got another one - can't miss a good deal, haha. However, I think it will end like previous stories, so I want to ask you for one thing:
- Is there a perfume which - in their total lifespan - will be more like just Falcon Leather opening?
Appreciate you coming by the channel. Off the top, I can't think of anything that takes that opening and keeps it.
I’ve gotten 3 luckyscent samples and in the end it seemed like lighter but smoother version of Tuscan leather
excellent take.
On the fence whether to get it or not, tuscan leather costs 2.5X in India - i am an entry level perfume enthusiast hence might go in for this one - thanks for the review !
No problemo!
One of those free bottle brigade frags if i remember right
yep
i love choppard black incense mallaki..... please suggest one intoxicating leather + incense perfume with good performance and projection ??
Cuir Velours by Noami Goodsir would be a good start.
@robes08 What are some examples of more advanced, more complex, leather fragrances, that are still wearable? I don't like fecal, barnyard stuff...
Knize Ten is a good start with no huge animalic bite.
That's my issue with navitus lol u hear so much hype when they get released but after the first week u hear nothing of them ever again
Well Navitus is a social media based brand, without the talking heads speaking about them ... well they don't sell. They utilize each other to hype it and other influencers that want to have their own line to hype. Once that initial push is done, no one speaks about it and for good reason to be honest.
You two are absolutely correct! I am not a huge fan of Navitus parfums. I think they smell ok. Too many other brands make better fragrances.
I don't watch too much youtube, but this brand was all over on instagram a while back. Completely turned me off to the point of annoyance. I don't recommend too often, but a couple favorite leathers of mine are danse lascive, wam and varanasi.
interesting suggestions! Thanks for sharing
I was also a bit disappointed with this one, and the brand overall. "Tame" is how I'd descrive the entire brand, smooth and inoffensive on the whole and you can tell there is quality in there but nothing sperating it from the crowd.
I feel like tame may be the perfect way to sum up the brand, let's see.
To be fair. What’s an entry level leather for you is a final level leather for most haha
This can't be the final leather boss 😪
Vintage Knize Ten and Bel Ami are final leather bosses!
Will i think this perfum like great story but without happy ending😂😂😂
😅
This is the last f time thinking maybe Rob's mistaken. Though this will be fancy easy leather going African Leather way leather but no. It's more expensive Ombre Leather.
😅 I do make many mistakes lol
I wasn't impressed by the first round of releases and the excessive bottle gifting did turned me off. If I see it in stores, I will give it a sniff.
In Malaysia, the 'luxe' department stores are stocking all these influencer bridgade brands (Matiere Premiere, Amouage, Nishane, so many more). I guessed the influencer marketing worked. And I am also sad that this is the representation of the higher echelons in perfumery here. I wish there was spotlight on smaller brands with more interesting work.
That's sad to see, however Amouage is worth it. They should get that shelf space imo
I would advice to skipp this house all together honestly :)
Appreciate it and you may be right, I like to give houses the benefit of the doubt but my hopes aren't too high anymore on this brand, we will see.
Why would you say that??
@@user-dj1dg3sp6o Because in my opinion this house is on the same shelf as Initio. In another words bottom of the barrel of niche world for a fraghead.
@pauliusmatonis1492: Oh, okay. How are the houses of Mason crevelli and Sora Dora? Any good
So many downhills that I suddenly feel like going sledding. 😂🛷 Whhheeeeeeeeee!
😅
