The boards are the same, but is the storage? I know they doubled the storage between the 2016 NES and the SNES, but is the entire populated PCB assembly the same between the 2018 NES and the SNES? And has anyone figured out exactly what that unused port section on the 2016 board does?
Can't those original Nintendo emulators be ported to Pc or Android? There are already good ones but the Nintendo ones with the guis, menus and accuracy would be awesome.
Executer 66 Actually the Sega Genesis Flashback did learn some things from Nintendo like switching to Android, newer technology, better sound, but the emulation is really choppy even though Android can emulate Genesis flawlessly
SNES Classic is well emulated. I just picked up the NES classic for this year's re-release and... theres like 200ms of audio lag and playing in the accurate aspect ratio of 4:3, it only does nearest neighbor scaling so pxiels shimmer as you scroll horizontally. The sound emulation on the NES is not so hot. To get a sense of the sound lag, fire up any game where jumping involves a noise - your character will start moving upward way before you hear the "jump" noise on the NES classic. On the real hardware, its simultaneously. This is especially weird because SNES classic doesn't have this problem, and neither the NES nor SNES have game destroying control lag.
I'd love them to use the SNES classic shell with a fake super Gameboy sticking out of it loaded with Gameboy games...doubt they would do a handheld though.
On the day of release, most stores that got the console didn't get any controllers. Those that did... Most got less than 5. I visited several stores that day and two of them actually misplaced their controllers for several hours, which really screwed the customers who were there when the store opened, waiting to purchase one.
I bought my snes classic for 120 and I do not feel bad one bit. Who should really feel bad is the people that bought the PlayStation classic for full price
I bought both the NES and SNES Classic over the past 2 years. I wanted to dual boot both the official images, and wanted to have both a NES and SNES controller available. If you're also after that, the 1st option is to get the NES classic and an 8bitdo SN30 controller. You end up with a wired OEM NES controller, a wireless third-party SNES controller (that is almost entirely indistinguishable from the real deal IMO), and with the dual boot mod you can flip the thing between being an NES classic or SNES classic with the push of a button, all for about 85 bucks. Option 2 is buy the SNES, it's 80 bucks and comes with 2 SNES controllers, you gotta track down a stand-alone NES controller (not easy), because unfortunately 8bitdo does not make a direct NES copy wireless controller; the layout is a bit different because of the turbo buttons. The stand-alone NES controller is $10. So you pay $90 and end up with 1 wired OEM NES and 2 OEM wired SNES controllers. This option is $5 more, but you get that extra SNES controller (which, fwiw, resell on EBAY for about $25 right now). With the 1st option, you get the benefit of the wireless SNES controller INCLUDED in the price of $85. For the 2nd option, $90 with no wireless controller, but your cost per controller is lower. Option 2 is best if you're gonna be playing multiplayer on this thing, but if you're like me and just want 1 of each controller for your own personal usage, option 1 is cheapest and provides the most convenience via wireless. The WILD CARD here is with option 2, if you're open to the extra work of reselling the extra SNES controller. If you can sell it for around $25, and replace it with the 8bitdo for $25, then for around $90 you'd have 1 wired NES, 1 wired SNES, 1 wireless SNES. However, you must factor in fees and shipping cost if you sell on ebay. It's gonna be more like $96 in total, but if you're up for the ebay/craigslist game, that's the best deal overall. None of this factors aesthetics, or nostalgia. I prefer SNES. :)
Just picked one up today! Also picked up an extra controller, as well as a case... Looks good next to my SNES Classic. This is MY kind of gaming... yeah, I'm old!
Excellent TechWave video Jon(SW). Nice seeing the NES Mini back so people can go out and enjoy this awesome little system and yes let's go with the N64 Mini Nintendo.
Well well well... a slight difference huh. I can see people trying to sell 2016 model for more expensive price! I have the original model. Nintendo stock may have fallen, but they’re winning with the Switch, 2DS/3DS, Classic Edition consoles. Come on N64 Classic!
GamingTV It's cheap old hardware from almost 40 years ago optimised to be the same as the SNES which means the only diffrence now in production is the outside. Games are preinstalled, they don't make new games so that is all free for them. Every NES and SNES classic that is sold is big profit. So yes, they are winning with this.
Soulless Living agreed! I am intrigued will they be anymore Classic Edition consoles. Nintendo will launch their online services in September. Nintendo have 20 NES games lined up for Switch. It’s possible SNES, N64, GameCube games will be online store instead. We shall see 🤔
R. James Taylor II Honestly If I was nintendo i would shrink everything i ever made and sell it as a collectors item. How much do you think it costs to make one of those things... I wouldn't be surprised if they came out with jumbo versions of this crap in 2 years. Who doesn't want a giant NES?
Quiltface hilarious! Giant NES. That would be funny Nintendo did that. I think they’re going chill on the consoles because in September their online store will be open. Nintendo announced all the games from NES Classic will be in the store for the Switch. I believe all their eggs is on the Switch
The ESRB rating was put on the front of the box during the first production run between 2016 and 2017. Most likely because the Board complained about it and wanted it on the front cover. The only real change is with the power adapter, it uses the SNES Classic Edition power adapter and they discontinued the old one. That was really the only change with the NES Classic Edition.
The european version of SNES Classic (it has a different plastic exterior, that's the only difference as far as I know) didn't come with a USB power adapter. It came with a Micro-USB cable, leaving you to find a power adapter yourself. I just took one that I had lying around, no big deal, I've more of them than I know what to do with, but I'm surprised to learn that it's different for the US version.
I bought what I thought was a 2018 version off Mercari, it has the ESRB rating and extra Nintendo logo on the box, but after taking it out of the box it didn't have the Nintendo brand power adapter. I took the NES apart and I definitely have the 2016 board... WTF.
Nayyar Rashid Same, I’m not risking it like I did last time. People think it’s going to last for the rest of the year but it’s already sold out in some places and being resold from scalpers.
if you see this thing at target or walmart buy it. help your friends out too. the fake ones are all over amazon. also these changes are so minor they shouldnt be affecting price whatsoever as the market becomes saturated. you dont pay more for a glob-top super mario bros cart than you do for one with chips on the board. why pay more for this?
Kevin Sands I saw the first additions here and there over some Wal*Marts and didn’t take them at the time, I felt odd and off doing so and I definitely regret it now. At least I’m taking it the second time around but now idiotic OCD 80’s babies will forever say the “first 2016 edtion is better” and I have to live it down. Fucking neckbeards.
G Note unless you live in absolute bumblefluck there’s no way you saw the first release nes classics here and there. Any employee or first customer who saw them would have bought them all for profit or people they knew.
Correction: the images of the boards have the arrow on the 2018 model in the incorrect place. It should be above the orange bar on the same side it is pointing at.
Hopefully the n64 classic is under $100. Will most likely be $80 or $90. If the price is up in the $90-100, i hope that there will be 2 controllers in the box. One way to fix the controller shortage issue would be for nintendo to officially liscence a controller port so that people that still have their origonal n64 controllers, can use them with the classic. Having to pay extra for more controllers would not be very consumer friendly
Pro Nerdy Depends on how many controllers they add with it, and if they have a deal with Microsoft for rare games. On the other hand, those games should be the only 3th party games.
Pro Nerdy I doubt it'll be under 100. It'll probably be right at 100$. Or maybe 120$ considering the 3D graphics and them maybe needing a more powerful chip for the emulation. Although with optimization they might be able to just use the same board and with it technically being more powerful than the Wii with it's N64 virtual console I'd say it's a possibility although I'd hope they'd give us a better board just for hacking purposes. I want to hack mine and play some Banjo-Kazooie, Conker, and Diddy Kong Racing in full screen HD.
Nintendo isn't about being consumer friendly. I would think that clear by now. If they were, we would have gotten a second controller and longer cords for the second run. Or an equal number of second controllers produced to the number of consoles. I'll avoid th N64 Classic, likely. The box size won't match the other 6, the library won't be all that great, and it's still the problem of the crappy controller for the console that held it back in the first place.
I agree with Tim, I'm in the market for a N64 classy @ $40 tops... its the weakest system out of the 3 as far as fun goes IMO. (weakest system out of all nintendo "console" systems really)
+A Person With a Name - they obviously planned it so that it would be useable for multiple systems. There's also the fact that the more ACCURATE types of emulation, which has only in recent years become possible, requires far more processing-power than previous emulators. Perfection comes at a price - Higan is an amazing emulator, best one for the NES yet, but when it first came out, it required a 3ghz CPU to run without slowdowns! Now, do you see why it might be a good thing that the NES-classic has some power under the hood?
A Person With a Name, anything less powerful would have to be specially made, and chips need to be a lot more powerful to emulate hardware. Those chips cost about $25 to buy one, Nintendo gets a bulk discount of probably half that, so it's probably the best choice to save money.
The interesting thing for me in a possible N64 Mini would be see the games properly emulated. After so much years the are still problems with some games on emulators, but when Nintendo make a good emulation, other programmers could eventualy learn how to fix it. Same for a possible GC Mini.
ok, I saw one @ Wal-Mart too, thought I was buggin' now, I missed the launch, so paid a $260 premium to get this baby in my hands. later tried to resell towards a Switch, no dice. touched it a few times, mostly the look & nostalgia stole my heart away, so its a keeper. people flip out when they see it on your desk. will i ever power it on again, likely.
What's interesting is that the SNES one has the same mounts as the 2018 NES one, specifically for the NES case. I wonder if that suggests that the original NEW Classic was more of a prototype, and that the SNES was being designed with the intention of bringing the NEW Classic back to market. It selling out immediately but now having a board seemingly meant for the NES rather than the SNES leads me to think that maybe the SNES and the remake NEW were being developed at the same time once they say it was a hit.
Hey SpawnWave, with all these classic systems out, maybe you can do a video on the different SoCs and their benefits. I think AtGames Genesis classic uses another chipset but with the same MALI 400 GPU. As a curiosity, these ARM based SoCs are super interesting and no one really discusses them. Even DigitalFoundry glosses over it and goes straight into emulation quality, which I guess is the meat and potatoes for most people, but the tech behind these things is always fascinating.
I would love it if the classic series expands all the way to the Wii so we have a classic line up that can make Nintendo money without any research or development time. It could provide some extra cash on the side and make Nintendo even more distinct with such a legacy collection
gameboy classic is next, that board is just small enough that I could see them shoe horning it into a classic gameboy case. they won't even make it smaller, they'll probably just re-make oldschool gameboy molds with altered standoffs. that would be dope.
7:00 you say that the same chipset won't work for N64 roms, but at 3:00 you say the R16 chip is more powerful than the Wii. Can someone explain that to me? I think I'm not parsing that correctly.
Just got my nes classic today, ordered it around 2-3 am back on the 29th of June from Bestbuy.com and it took the last 10 days to be delivered from like Kansas or Kentucky (I live in California) haven't tried it yet but so excited, also can't wait to add more games to it.
Damn it I just recently managed to snag myself a NES classic for around $80 second hand and while eternally thankful for it?! I'll never ever know if mine is a 2016 or 2018 model but by purchasing one in 2019 which is already hard enough, I'll probably assume 2018 model.
I would like it if Nintendo would put together series-specific machines. Like a "Zelda classic" and you get most of the zelda games in one box. original, 2, lttp, the game boy and gba ones, maybe oot and majora's. Something like that. shape and controllers would be hard to get right though. idk..
I don't think a cube classic edition is the cards any time soon, if you look at Nintendo's push to game developers to keep games under 8gb to get them to fit on 8gb cards rather then 32gb cards for the switch or they reduce the developer's earnings per unit to make up for the extra cost, Its very unlikely we will see a game cube classic in the same capacity when those games tended to take around a gigabyte each which is a massive jump from the 25mb average of the N64 games. Not mention it would be hard to do justice when they probably wont include any rated games when 2 of the best 5 games on the console were rated r
Ghost Soul That's a bummer, I would have liked a GCC. However, about the R rated games: there's no problem if the console it's hackable. And with 24/32 GB of on-board memory they could fit an adequate number of games, sure it would costs them more than 8GB, but they could just raise the retail price a little.
Any suggestions on what controller I should buy for a second controller. I bought this for my dad to play with his grands. So far I've purchased 3 controllers, all have the right plug but none have worked in the first or second controller spot. Only the original works.
Do you believe they continue with the classics editions with more recent consoles? By the time a N64 Classic occured, it will have 20+ years... but NGC just little above 15 years, not to mention Wii...
So I’m not that tech-y but if the nes classic is more powerful than the wii shouldn’t they be able to use these boards for n64 classic, game cube classic, wii classic, etc.?
a Wii is basically a souped up GameCube... So will we have the same type of board on the n64 classic? Maybe the same on the GameCube Classic will as well??
i dont think they will move on with newer classics. i obviously could be wrong just my opinion. i hope so though. 64 was one of my fav by far. i dont have a fav Nintendo console, thats crazy.
Interesting stuff ! I noticed there was no MyNintendo voucher anymore while there was one in the original 2016 version. Do you know anything about this ?
I do curious if mini N64 classic that going to be released would exhibit very similar glitch/bugs to some well known existing open sourced Nintendo-64 emulator?
Someone made a video stating the box art was different between the 2016 and the 2018 releases, but received a lot of posted 'corrections' saying box box arts were available in 2016. Anyone on Spawnwave subscription able to verify? I would be nice to know.
igounfazed Check one of AlexCND's videos of when he waited in line to buy a Switch in 2017 in NYC. At the time Nintendo NYC store had a shipment of the NES Classic and the box was the same as the 2018 reissue.
I disagree about them not being able to use the same board for a N64 classic, it's actually an argument I have brought up a lot. As you mentioned earlier, the board is basically more powerful than the Wii was. And the Wii had software N64 emulation, so it's definitely powerful enough to emulate most N64 games. Storage could be an issue, but you can still store a fair bit of N64 games within that 512MB of space. Save states might be the only thing to suffer. Considering Rare's catalog would be off limits, they would be pretty limited in what games they can include, you can easily fit a dozen or two heavy hitters within that space. Worst comes to worst, a cheap solution for them would be to internally connect the USB port to a hub, with one port going to the power/charging port and the other to additional USB storage. People who have hacked the thing have already enabled using USB for additional ROM storage long ago. That method would not require them to design a new board, which would be much more costly.
So.... this one NES in 2018 can run Starfox 2 because it uses the same board as the SNES classic? I thought there was this weird FX thing that happened back in the day that required Starfox/Starfox 2 to run?
Interesting. So I bought one from a dirty scalper this time last year and researched it cuz my box is the new one and i thought I might have a counterfeit. I found out that box was used on the final run in spring of 17 so u can't just go by the box as to what system you have and they all say 2016 on them.
Is there already a mod for the SNES classic to play NES, GB and GBC-games as well? Would be nice as the original was supposed to be backwards compatible and the Super Gameboy existed.
Sega should get a Master system classic since in some regions it was never distributed officially (example Mexico, the only official Sega console was the Genesis, not sure about the Dreamcast).
Is there any difference between the SNES Classic and the 2018 NES Classic? Because I've noticed that it takes longer to load games onto the NES Classic.
PikachuR77 kernels are different but hacking method is the same ... There is a reason hackchi2 makes you select what console your hacking and that is to make sure it applies the correct modified kernel
Wow, never realized how long ago the original came out...
Same, I thought it the NES classic came out last year
bleuthoot
I thought the same
bleuthoot well it came out at the very end of 2016 so that’s probably why
The boards are the same, but is the storage? I know they doubled the storage between the 2016 NES and the SNES, but is the entire populated PCB assembly the same between the 2018 NES and the SNES?
And has anyone figured out exactly what that unused port section on the 2016 board does?
Y r u everywhere
Proof that indeed, spawn is just looking for any reason to unscrew a console.
Wow! A competent well emulated flashback console. Atgames could learn a few things from Nintendo.
The Atari Flashback works great
The Chef Boo Except AtGames didnt bother fixing the shitty pitched down sound on the Atari
I always love these Techwave videos. They're informative and fun to watch. Schools take notes.
Executer 66 nice pun
I’d like to see a Gameboy Classic Edition next. It’s older and therefore more “Classic” then the N64
Me too. :) but how about a N64 classic? That would be awesome
I'd love them to use the SNES classic shell with a fake super Gameboy sticking out of it loaded with Gameboy games...doubt they would do a handheld though.
If they're going to do a GameBoy classic, they should use the GameBoy Pocket version. The old cinder block's screen was too yellow.
DAMNNINJA1 I'll be sitting up on my window sill playing in daylight all over again!
Don't forget about the virtual boy classic
I can't believe I saw like 9 of those in stock at Wal-Mart
Master-Smash Sandoval same here but no extra controllers. Lol.
I couldn't even believe that my small town Walmart had like freaking 5 systems in stock, but NO extra controllers as usual.
BigjohnSVT really I found 10 controllers at target but 0 console lol
Here in Germany there are like 40 NES plus extra controllers and 20 SNES both
in mediamarkt
On the day of release, most stores that got the console didn't get any controllers. Those that did... Most got less than 5. I visited several stores that day and two of them actually misplaced their controllers for several hours, which really screwed the customers who were there when the store opened, waiting to purchase one.
I bet those people who bought from scalpers and paid 3-4 times the retail price feel stupid right about now.
They sure do. I know a few people that bought NES classics off of scalpers and they are pissed now.
@Bastad Kock wrong!!!!
I bought my snes classic for 120 and I do not feel bad one bit. Who should really feel bad is the people that bought the PlayStation classic for full price
Enjoy these types of videos! :D
Same!

Great video. Thank you for getting right to the point and not padding it with filler like some other channels did with their comparisons.
You could fit a usb hub inside of there, which is mainly useful for adding 4-player support and extra storage for roms.

soooo much better than that other guys video, thanks for keeping things on point and informative
Just picked one up today! Also picked up an extra controller, as well as a case...

Not that I know of because I was never able to get the NES Classic Edition thanks to scalpers.
Would love to see you tear down a NES and SNES mini side by side and compare them.
Thanks for the upload bro. I recently got a NES yesterday too!
Awesome vid, man! Over here in the UK we don't even get a charger in the box. But I have both chargers from 2016 and 2018.
Thanks for the tear down and comparison. It makes sense they would use the same board as in the SNES Classic.

Enjoying different outro music from the original familiar one also, it's nice for a change up here and there
the box changed after they upped the manufacturing number back in 2017.
Wow. Hearing that the Wii is technically weaker than these machines just makes me so disappointed in that old system.
thebahooplamaster
I mean, that means that the GC, PS2, possibly even the Xbox are weaker as well.
I still don't get how it needs to be that powerful just to hold 30 or so NES games plus menus.
But can it run melee?
The interesting thing for me in a possible N64 Mini would be see the games properly emulated. After so much years the are still problems with some games on emulators, but when Nintendo make a good emulation, other programmers could eventualy learn how to fix it.
Same for a possible GC Mini.
ok, I saw one @ Wal-Mart too, thought I was buggin'
now, I missed the launch, so paid a $260 premium to get this baby in my hands. later tried to resell towards a Switch, no dice.
touched it a few times, mostly the look & nostalgia stole my heart away, so its a keeper. people flip out when they see it on your desk. will i ever power it on again, likely.
This is why i watch spawn wave
Hey SpawnWave, with all these classic systems out, maybe you can do a video on the different SoCs and their benefits. I think AtGames Genesis classic uses another chipset but with the same MALI 400 GPU. As a curiosity, these ARM based SoCs are super interesting and no one really discusses them. Even DigitalFoundry glosses over it and goes straight into emulation quality, which I guess is the meat and potatoes for most people, but the tech behind these things is always fascinating.
Thanks. But it seems like a bit long of a video for the actual content.
I would love it if the classic series expands all the way to the Wii so we have a classic line up that can make Nintendo money without any research or development time. It could provide some extra cash on the side and make Nintendo even more distinct with such a legacy collection
Can anyone Tell me if the Controller of the new version has a longer cable
But which is better the 2016 version or the 2018 version? If that made sense.
is this rendered in 120fps?? this looks weird
I can't sleep at night knowing that both my NES classic and my SNES classic have the exact same mother boards inside of them.
gameboy classic is next, that board is just small enough that I could see them shoe horning it into a classic gameboy case. they won't even make it smaller, they'll probably just re-make oldschool gameboy molds with altered standoffs. that would be dope.
AP_Maquina dope as hell
AP_Maquina I really want a Gameboy Classic
Yeah, but an original gameboy? With the green not lit screen? I would prefer a gameboy advance classic.
Nick Anton No, like the Gameboy color, rather. And they added a backlit screen to it.
I would love for them to make gameboy classic same size as original
how I got mine when it first came out and it has the E logo along with the white nintendo seal on the left ???
what are the major difference betwewen the Mini and the classic edition?
I'm ready for them to make the N64 classic, which they should do!
7:00 you say that the same chipset won't work for N64 roms, but at 3:00 you say the R16 chip is more powerful than the Wii.
Can someone explain that to me? I think I'm not parsing that correctly.
Is there any difference in software? Did they add the features from the Snes? That's what I care about.
If they release a Game Boy Classic I hope it comes with a cartridge slot either for the old or a new mini kind of carts.
Just got my nes classic today, ordered it around 2-3 am back on the 29th of June from Bestbuy.com and it took the last 10 days to be delivered from like Kansas or Kentucky
(I live in California) haven't tried it yet but so excited, also can't wait to add more games to it.
Something like that. shape and controllers would be hard to get right though. idk..
8:26 that's all I wanted to know, LOL.
I want to see a Nintendo 64 Classic then to end off the Classic Editions a Gamecube Classic as I never see them going any further.
Nintendo Nation I do too, but now I have a feeling they started a selling tactic here and will continue to do this for a while.
And with 24/32 GB of on-board memory they could fit an adequate number of games, sure it would costs them more than 8GB, but they could just raise the retail price a little.
so what happens if you put the new NES mini's board on the SNES mini casing? can you use the SNES controllers on the new NES mini?
Are the controllers in the 2018 release any longer than the controllers in the 2016 release?
nope. same shitty short length cord that requires an extension cable.
Man, u screwed those screws in so quick lol like super handyman style. Yeh I have faith. I reckon they'll do a N64 classic soon.
does anyone know is the controller still really short on the 2018 version.
I'm tinking, mayyybeeee they will surprise us with a Virtual Boy Mini! It's technically released before the N64 ;)
Since its the same board, you can run the SNESC emulator and roms on it - or vice versa.
Or just load it up with other roms...
So I’m not that tech-y but if the nes classic is more powerful than the wii shouldn’t they be able to use these boards for n64 classic, game cube classic, wii classic, etc.?
Nice, a fellow Phillies fan! I assumed that the new board is the same as the SNES classic.
Cool vid ! I've just ordered one today
Great. Now scalpers can say a “first edition” in the description when the differences are microscopic.
That's alright. Anybody still stupid enough to pay ridiculous prices for them deserve it.
N64 was my favorite. 52 year old here, grew up in the 1970's playing pong, then later Atari.
Im going to wait for the OG GAME BOIIIIIII
Boy*
Quiltface r/wooosh
a Wii is basically a souped up GameCube...
Panzer Dragoon Worldパンツァードラグーンワールド That’s shitty.
They probably just didn’t care to put one in. Before they were most likely trying to promote it through the voucher.
They had 12 of these at GameStop today. Bought one to have a backup. Maybe I should do the 800+ games mod.
I would be nice to know.
igounfazed
Check one of AlexCND's videos of when he waited in line to buy a Switch in 2017 in NYC. At the time Nintendo NYC store had a shipment of the NES Classic and the box was the same as the 2018 reissue.
Thanks!!
Should I get a NES Classic even though I own a SNES Classic??
Is the joypad cable the same length as 2016?
@ Spawn Wave: You should link your previous videos with those cards other youTubers use when talking about your older videos, like at 2:00.
They didn't make longer cords?
The HDMI and power cords are still fairly long, so even if you do have to have the console that close, you can still sit far from the TV.
I just can’t wait for the switch classic in like 15 years
Interesting. So I bought one from a dirty scalper this time last year and researched it cuz my box is the new one and i thought I might have a counterfeit. I found out that box was used on the final run in spring of 17 so u can't just go by the box as to what system you have and they all say 2016 on them.
Can they use the same board for the n64 mini?
THE BOXES ALSO ARE DIFFERENT. THE FIRST EDITION HAS A 2016 ON IT.
Is there already a mod for the SNES classic to play NES, GB and GBC-games as well? Would be nice as the original was supposed to be backwards compatible and the Super Gameboy existed.
You can use Hakchi2 to put nes roms on the snes classic, if you want gb/gbc, etc, you will need Retro Arch.
Sega should get a Master system classic since in some regions it was never distributed officially (example Mexico, the only official Sega console was the Genesis, not sure about the Dreamcast).
How Many Roms Came With Both ?
Somewhat related question: Whatever happened to getting a top-down teardown camera?
the time is right for a wii classic. upscale everything to 1080p!
Id be interested in trying to mod one of them with a stacked nand and a switch to run both nes and snes on the same system
Is there any difference between the SNES Classic and the 2018 NES Classic? Because I've noticed that it takes longer to load games onto the NES Classic.
Great video thank you for this info.
Also, the USB cables are subtly different. 2018 version seems to be slightly more durable.
Do you have an Europe version? I will like to know of any internal difference between the USA and the Europe version.
Are there there any differences in terms of hacking the systems? Are the kernels the same?
PikachuR77 kernels are different but hacking method is the same ... There is a reason hackchi2 makes you select what console your hacking and that is to make sure it applies the correct modified kernel
Cool buy the 2018 case should've been the 101 model
Thanks for doing this video, was wondering if there was a difference between the two.
