Brings back memories of when I was 15 doing a farm course, good video , thanks 👍🏻
I used one like this 35 years ago and it worked great.
Got one of those at least 50 years old. Stretched a lot of wire with that thing.
You left me expecting more in this video! 😎 Tim in northern TN
I have the same stretcher. Those work great!
You would be surprised how well a come along works doing barb wire
That's what I use
I have one of these for barbed wire... will it use for 12 gauge high tensile?
I’ve seen ranchers make a connection using a wraparound method.
Seems the wire would pull thru the splice?
What kind / brand crimping tool are you using?
You know I have walked hundreds of miles repairing fence and I never carried one of them I carried a roll of number 9 wire a claw hammer and a pair of wire cutters Pockets full of Staples and I got that fence just as tight as you can with that and then that's spent $173
John 3:16 KJV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
""Crimpin ain't easy""
Old saying a fence needs to be horse high bull strong and pig tight. Sure going to fail the last part. Those golden rod stretchers are a pain several other versions that are better
What do you recommend?
@@dapymp17 I use the single head one that tractor sapply sell. I am a fence contractor and use every day it's lighter and easy to use. Plus pulls high tensile where the golden rod won't hardly get ahold of
Are you saying the chinese ones TSC sells are better? Yeah! A win for china.!
@@tsl7881 ya on them they are better unless pulling log stretches then the golden rod wins since it will hold and let you get another bite
I did do a lot of contact fences to. Have a small cable grabber for the high tensel it hooks to my comalong don't know if you can still get have had 30 years
