Great build, love how you sprayed the motor wires black, very smart ,i have a question, i have this kit as well and for the servo, it doesnt work for my esc, but it works when i put it in my servo tester, i was wondering if you know what might be the problem
Hi Marcus. Problem could be 1 of 3. Servo, BEC or transmitter/receiver. You tested the servo, so either BEC or transmitter/receiver. Does the throttle and gear change work? What BEC are you using?
Stephen Crisp hello, the throttle and gear change works, i am using a hobbyking esc, hobbyking.com/en_us/hobbyking-x-car-45a-brushed-car-esc.html?countrycode=GB&gclid=Cj0KCQiAoab_BRCxARIsANMx4S7pp6bJuxqQasK0aFKIck9scpzm9pNIkeqXIN2OFuOD-60MvyEowyMaAiJxEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
Stephen Crisp also, how did you manage to use the motor plugs on the 1060 esc with the jst plugs on the motor, as well as the tamiya plug on the 1060 esc with a jst plug on the battery.
Hi Marcus. I changed all the plugs. I used 2 mm bullet connectors between the motor and the ESC. I used JST connectors between the battery and the ESC because they don’t use up too much space.
Hi Marcus. Try connecting another spare servo to the steering output on the receiver to see if that works. If that also fails, then the faulty lies with your receiver. You can also connect the steering servo to another channel output. If it works, you have a problem with the steering output on the receiver. Good luck
Fine work. One of the best painted WPL Land Cruisers I have ever seen. Most on YT are not painted anyway. Did you have any issues with painting the interior? I heard it was made with "weird plastic" that doesn't play nice with most paints.
Hi Hjerte. Thanks for your comments. No problem painting the interior. Gave it a coat of grey primer first. Also interior has little chance of getting scratches.
Thank you installing the headlight bezel with the right side up!
Beautiful Land Cruiser!
Thank you
Thank you
Hahaa, thats funny. I saw an FJ40 for sale (1:1) and its bezel/grille was upside down too. Must be an ongoing problem
@@Hjerte_Verke Many people don’t know wide side is on top!
Looks truly awesome! Hope to be able to make something similar
Thanks. Let me know if I can help in any way
@@stephenhughcrisp Thank you so much, the inspiration is enough to get me started at least. The rost in the car looks so great 👍
Outstanding work....thanks for the vid
Looks fantastic 👍
Thank you very much
Very nice looking. Do the lights work?
Hi. Yes front lights work. Rear lights are stickers.
That is an incredible amount of detail! It's amazing 👏🏿 I don't think I could sit still long enough 😅
Reminds me of the truck in the movie Sorcerer with the drums and rust
