    The universe IS consciousness and we are in its imagination... existence, music, colour and movement are just imaginary things. You ever wonder why time and space is limitless, and goes on forever, close your eyes and imagine a flat plane that stretches as far as it can go. It goes on forever right? You've just emulated exactly whats going on. One day you'll wake up and realise you imagined being yourself.

    Pretty cool video, just pointing out that the ultimate answer to that why is just nothing, for no reason. Things don't necessarily need to have a reason to be, it's just we like to wonder why things are as they are, but there doesn't have to be a reason.

    Okay here's the puddle analogy
    Imagine a puddle exists. It thinks, "wow this hole fits me so perfectly, so perfectly, it must have been made specifically for me."
    anyways, our brains interpret particular wavelengths of lights as different colors. We evolved to be able to see them, but yeah, as you point out in the vid, we really can't explain it to someone who doesn't have eye's or cant distinguish between any colors.
    Our brains interpret sounds as ... well sounds. Sounds are basically waves.
    touch. taste. smell.
    nobody know how tf to describe these without using a reference (using phrases like similar to this or that).

    Interesting to contemplate. "...we would never go so far as a species as we are right now." HAVE we gone far as a species?"
    Have we gone anywhere? How do you define progress? What is truly significant? (Asking for a friend.) I do think this is all some profound, brilliant mystery. How else do you explain Emily Dickinson?

    The question is not "why" or "how" its a "Who?" When you answer The "Who?" --> Jehovah Then the how ---> Holy Spirit (Jehovah God's power), and the "Why?" ---> Love gives us an answer.

  • @dizoldman3934
    @dizoldman3934 5 месяцев назад

    It all points to God, specifically the God of the Bible. The One who gives the ‘why’ to each one of us has designed us to face this fruitless search of our world, looking for meaning where there is none. Yet our experience tells us different. Our hearts long for God, yet most do not realize that He is the rational end to our endless search. Please consider the words of Jesus carefully: read the gospels for yourself.

    • @Jonny11299
      @Jonny11299 5 месяцев назад +1

      Do you feel certain that it's the God of the Christian bible, not the conclusion of any other religious thoughts throughout the world? For example, how do you know it's not Allah of the Koran?

    • @dizoldman3934
      @dizoldman3934 5 месяцев назад

      No two religions claim the same thing. In fact, they contradict each other. This makes the statement that “all religions basically say the same thing” false. Therefore, you must evaluate each religion based on the evidence for it. Jesus claimed to be God, the evidence points to him dying, and raising from the dead. Mohammed denied that Jesus died yet Mohammed died and stayed dead. I am more likely to listen to the guy that died and came back to life. Mohammed also directly contradicts so many of the core teachings of Jesus, so they cannot both be correct.

    • @Jonny11299
      @Jonny11299 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@dizoldman3934 Hmmmm thanks for the response.
      I personally would choose Jesus over Mohammad if I had to pick one. I appreciate the wit behind "I am more likely to listen to the guy that died and came back to life." That's a pretty funny way to say it, but, yeah, honestly. True.
      My worldview is basically that humans are imperfect creatures with a divine spark, so we're always attempting to define divinity, but we always fall short. We're kind of approaching it asymptotically over time. But on the other hand, there's also a sort of degenerative nature, a fall from grace, if you will. I guess divinity and degenerative-ness are two threads that run throughout time.
      In conclusion, I think all religions have many merits and many faults. I personally attend weekly services with the Vedanta Society of my local area.
      Good to chat with you, stranger!

    • @dizoldman3934
      @dizoldman3934 5 месяцев назад

      @@Jonny11299 I am glad you recognize these two hallmarks that are consistent throughout all human nature. We as humans are always trying to elevate ourselves to god status, searching for our own way to find or earn divinity. People resort to vesting themselves in a career, or money, or adherence to a certain religious practice thinking they can use it to become divine in a way. But my friend, you were right about humanity's other hallmark: its fallenness. We ALL have a tremendous talent for rebellion, for selfishness, for pride, for evil. This attribute is innate and unconquerable through our own efforts, though people have tried for thousands of years.
      Now no amount of "trying to be a good person" will cure this. Even the best people maintain this side, unable to break free from this brokenness. Yet, our pride causes us to follow religions that claim that through our own efforts, we can become divine or finally good enough to throw off this brokenness and guilt we all feel. They're all the same, just see:
      Buddhism: follow the 8-fold path, eliminate your desires and you can become one with the great nothingness
      Hinduism: do enough good deeds, collect enough good kharma and you can escape the cycle of reincarnation and become one with the god-force of everything
      Islam: follow the five pillars and make sure your good deeds outweigh your bad deeds on judgement day to reach paradise
      Secularism: science is the only authority, so we must advance in science and discovery as much as possible, morality is relative or a social contract so we should try to good not because it is good but because it feels good, then we will be remembered as 'good' by generations to come (and ultimately we die and go to nothing and life is meaningless in the end)
      Judaism: adhere to the Mosaic and ceremonial laws, celebrate the festivals enough, fast enough, and confess, repent, and pray enough and you will go to heaven (started new Rabbinic teachings because the temple was destroyed in 70 A.D. -- the temple was previously how they made right for their evil by offering sacrifices there)
      Now, I don't really have enough time to summarize EVERY religion, but I think you, upon reading the examples above can detect the theme: "salvation is up to mankind, we must do it ourselves, and we can do it because we're good enough." Every religion claims a prophet that comes and says "I found the way you can get to god (or divinity), just follow these steps and you're good". Every religion EXCEPT one: Christianity.
      Christianity is the ONLY worldview where we acknowledge that we are not good enough to save ourselves, that we are ultimately slaves to our evil fallen nature. We acknowledge that we are not going to find God or become God through our pursuits of living morally or finding success or whatever. Only here, we see God himself come down to us because we can not go to him of our own efforts. Other prophets claimed they 'found' the way, Jesus of Nazareth claimed that he 'WAS' the way to God. He is not a method that we have to try to follow to earn our way, he is a person we put our trust in because he did it for us -- because he was the only one who was able to. Christians try to live good lives because of the work done on our behalf and because of the example set by Jesus, not because our good deeds save us. Putting trust in Jesus gives a person new desires, and although temporarily we will struggle to overcome our fallen nature, we will no longer desire to consciously do evil. And one day, if we do trust in Jesus as THE way, we will be reconciled to God, satisfying that divine spark within each of us; He is the only one who will satisfy it.
      Now friend, please consider these words. Test them to see if they're true. If they are, please consider changing your life and putting your trust in Jesus alone. Jesus is not compatible with any other worldview if you read what he said. (Read the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John -- eyewitness testimonies of his life, death, and resurrection). Evaluate for yourself whether or not he came back from the dead. If not, everything I just said doesn't matter; disregard me! But if so, then that confirms what he taught and that means he is the ONLY way to salvation. Please friend, consider these words in your search for the truth.
