Watching these to learn about how my Amazon packages get to me.
Alex I recommend Adding Amber Lights To your Semi Since you start to drive In early Dawn So you’ll be more visible And also I do recommend Adding Stronger antennas for your CB Radio.
It is not his truck, he does not own it. The truck is built to federal standards and is legal in every state. Adding your own lights will likely make you fail a DOT check depending on what state you are in. If and when he becomes an owner operator he may add what ever he likes since he will be paying the fines and doing the on site repairs to get back to legal so he can get released from the scales where he got shut down.
@@quietbrianquiet good point, I’m glad you pointed it out Because it is true, I am A truck driver for the state of California So the regulations here are different
Now, THAT is how people exchange ideas and disagree sometimes! I learned something from da both of ya's!
The only thing that the amber lights are good for is if you are a flat deck transport hauling a wide load
Bravo love this convo
Thanx for the info all of you
Love watching you backup and get through all the steps that need to be done for a perfect delivery. I’m a little more than one month into my CDL course and I just love it. A new career for this old lady! 😊
That’s great I remember CDL school went to FTA ! you?
Is it a hard learning curve im trying to get into a school right now
He made that back way harder than it needed to be. Not trying to be mean, it's just things you got to learn as you get more experience.
@Brian Callaway completely agree, should've been practically a straight back if set up properly. But everyone learns and is comfortable doing things their own way.
Loved those different camera angles/point of views at the end. And maybe it's me, IDK, but it seems like I can hear the turbo whine more....which I love!!! So, maybe it is spec'd out at more power? Stay safe out there, my guy!
So for future reference, don’t slide the tandems at an angle. It’s really easy to knock them off track. Speaking from experience. I did it at under 2mph. If you can’t find even ground make sure the truck and trailer are inline
I aint gonna lie i watched some of your longer videos and i fell asleep because your videos are calming and amazing!! Love you channel ❤️ please keep up the amazing work! Have a great day!!
Happy for you on the new truck my brother
Cool video mate!
I’m just starting out making my own trucking videos with road-trains and b trains.
This kind of stuff is a great inspiration. Keep up the good work.
I used to live in Ohio and have traveled Gallia Pike and US 23 many years. US 23 is a crappy road in Scioto County but wasn't to bad before or after Scioto. Delaware, Columbus, Chillicothe, Piketon, and Portsmouth - my hometown.
There’s a engine shutdown override button in the truck that you can use to reset that 60 sec clock so you safely pull over hope this helps you in the future
They disable them in company trucks
Came across this channel via yt shorts. Now absolutely obsessed!!!
going to take my CDL Permit test tomorrow
I love the 2023’s I got mine about 2 months back
2:56 Alex, so what happened is that when you add DEF to your truck, the smog gets cleaned by the DEF through a filter. It’s called a particulating filter. So what happened is that, that filter was full and it clogs the exhaust. The smoke you saw is normal. It’s the same smoke that comes out when the truck is regening. But since the filter is full, it blocks the engine exhaust and could damage the engine.
so they need a week to change a filter?!
He said cause was problem with an intake valve. That was cause. They won't know how bad the resulting damage until they get into job. The week to repair was an estimate. btw, particulate filter is to catch soot. A regen cycle is to burn off the soot from filter. DEF is sprayed into exhaust steam after the particulate filter to convert NOx (nitrogen oxides) to water and nitrogen.
@@johnwashington5179 if it’s left like that to where the engine is about to mess up, yes. It takes long to get parts and change the filter.

The new Freightliners come with the Gen5 engine. They went from a dual rocker set up to a valve bridge. I've done overhauls on Gen5’s with 30K because it dropped a valve due to that bridge. Terrible design but I call that, job security.
Good morning mr Alex hope your day goes great sir
Awesome new truck hopefully you like it better and enjoy it
Great video man. Love the content.
Bro congratulations on 650k subs....i got 30yrs and 4 million miles Been everything from company, lease, lease purchase, owner op,and even owning my own carrier authority (mc#)
Not big on creating content but if i had that many subs i definitely would!!
That’s my fav truck tied with Peterbuilt 379
But...but....but....it IS a beauty contest! Keep on truckin alex!
Hi Alex. Just watched a few of your video’s. Very interesting to see how the job is done “over the pond” anyway in one, I saw you were filling your Truck with diesel and struggling to keep the handle open. In the UK 🇬🇧we use a tennis ball 🎾 and squash it into the trigger handle. Saves the hand for sure…Hope it helps 👍🏻
I had my truck pop up that message and it turned out I had a radiator leak and yes power steering turned off and man handling that beast was a chore.
lm a trucker watching a trucker😂it’s 6:32am in Dallas tx
That’s a clean tractor. I’ve seen one of those around Wisconsin-Illinois
Is not a beauty contest laugh out loud 😅 ❤love watching your videos thank Alex
Love your videos 🔥
Nice tractor Alex very nice.
It would be cool if the school bus had blind spot warning lights. That is so cool.
Had the same problem ended up having to get a new injector intake and a new ONE BOX for Def
Just check your door decal from date of manufacture, it will tell you horsepower , torque specs etc etc. it’s likely 505hp
I really like the gloves's kind that you use Bro.
It's cool to see you driving through my home state of Ohio .
Freightliners are the best 🚛😁👍
Cascadia means an airy Tupperware dish. Congratulations 🎉
"Dock versus door" is a "pet peeve" of mine. A dock is where you back in with your truck to get it unloaded/loaded. A door is something a person walks through.
as a broker i hear drivers use both all day long
Puerta
God bless you alex
It would help with your corners and not losing grip
weird question but just out of curiosity, did you learn how to drive a manual semi and if you ever get the chance to drive one for a company would you?
I subscribed I love this
Good morning Alex.
You're very lucky my friend to stop so fast... and accurately.... glad you are okay though
This company treats him like a king! Lol
19:51 nice camera angle!
Love shark tank i saw that pitch i forgot the name of company but i seen a few people with there kayak
Nothing wrong with a little ambient noise.
Positive people get positive results. Expected or not. 👍😉
Your were very near the Kenworth factory in Chillicothe Ohio. Right now they have hundreds and hundreds on the lot
ORU kayak if you want an origami type folding kayak.... a question: when I pass a semi on the highway, how soon after i pass can I pull back into the lane without affecting your adaptive cruise control system that affects your cruise speed? Thanks
I got to say camera quality looks better. 😊
I would have to find away to disable the noise from the damn blinkers / flashers. Holy crap thats loud
Freightliner Semi Tractors are the best selling tractors of the usa
It's going to help you with your grip. Steering wheel will trust me
I miss driving on US roads…
Finally u uploaded vedio
As a refer driver, it’s hilarious to think that some drivers are that dramatic about parking next to a refer! It really isn’t that bad! It actually helps me sleep better! 🤘
Yep, next time he's in a Wal-Mart, he should head to the sporting goods aisles and they have bulk bags of earplugs in the hunting section.
Personally, I just hate sleeping next to them because I used to pull reefer and we always had ours set to continuous, while most companies do auto on/off. Every time one shuts off, it wakes me up thinking something is wrong!
Theyre a nightmare. Just the other day I parked for a 34 reset... waaaaay in the back of a nearly truckstop. As usual, 2 hrs later, some knucklehead in a reefer comes all the way back there to park next to me. After 2 or 3 startups of the reefer, I'd had enough. Pulled the curtains and crawled to another area.
It should be totally legal to shoot an idiot like that.
@justindiaz9925 And your point? We all happy you sleep better with the reefer unit running lol...Can't really speak for everybody though can you Driver ✌️
What is that holding your go pro I’ve been looking for somthing like that
Well when you had this i had a 2016 freightliner which was fast asf. Now i have a 2024 with a broken eld... i rather the 2016 lol
Nice Truck
GREAT MORNING Alex from INDIANA , the first time one of my trucks has been here I'm recording this so I can start doing a couple videos soon. You've go it easy with an automatic, I have my uncle's 10 speed manual. Once I start getting more haulage out here I'd be loving the revenue. I can't get revenue without having a terminal closer than N.C.. I'm here for the night and then I have to pick up in Ohio, I'm planning to find 2 more drivers wish me luck Alex I'm trying to give this 200% positive energy.
Booooo
Yes it is a Beauty contest and I give you a 7/10 😅
Hi. Alex; what's the dash cam you are using ?
My company has few newer Cascadias and I am not a fan, I like the Peters but like anything everyone has different opinions and likes different brands. It is nice driving new equipment though lol
What appliances did you use?
Hey Alex it’s Jayhalpern from Winnipeg Canada 🇨🇦 trucker jay he works for the same company
I wanna see you go kayaking
Me too, but he won't.
What engine is under this hood. DD15? DD16? 13 or Cummins
Did you drive through Cleveland, TN? I literally saw you drive 😂
Hey Alex! Your making docking look easy! Good Luck 🍀with new truck. Bill NYPD Retired ☺
What brand is that seat cover? @Alex the trucking guy
love form INDIA
Heyy is the steering heavy or light?????
Get the fold up kayak and do a product review for us armchair white water enthusiasts, thanks
how much you make for that firs delivery thinking to get into trucking bussiness but I dont know if is worth it
So is that your permanent truck now or you just using it until the other one is fixed?
Good Video bro
That looks like it’s in Kentucky. If so, I’ve stayed there once.
Alex.... wheres your steering wheel cover.. I'd go nuts without mine. ❤️🇨🇦
Let's see how long it takes him too hate that blind spot warning.
I hate lane departure itself I can imagine the stupid thing hate those
Yeah! I hate ALL the bells whistles and lights in my Toyota by now, been only driving it for about 3 months and have already muted as many as I can… Warnings are getting too crazy
You need to have your truck straight with your trailer also so other truck can park next to you also so they dont hit you
God bless 👍
We had to.
ALEX! You’re killing it here. Love these videos and you have an awesome truck. Ppl lose their minds over the digital dash when they don’t have it…. Jealousy?? lol. Subscribe if you wanna see some other new stuff coming out. Keep up the awesome work. Love to see it 👍👍
❤
does this new freightliner have the same kind of engine as the other freightliner had ? i know you can get different brand motors in them even though the cabs may look the same
Freightliner is always the dd13 or dd15 in the cascadia....
That sounded scary. But really wish you had recorded it to show us
He probably did, knowing him, he was probably screaming like crazy hahaha so he deleted the footage
where is your steering wheel cover? It look fly on your truck.
Hahahah i do reefer and it’ll don’t even bother me anymore. I’ll be sleeping like a baby.
Why does the feightliner screen always flash red?
I know that place that I turned if the highway
When are you coming to NYC dog that would be a great video
Do you miss your old truck Gerald (kenworth)?
You noted that you try to shut down by 3 pm most days. How often do you have to drive overnight to make appointments? Is there an expectation from your company for overnight driving? Thanks.
You have to plan your day around appointments, whatever they are.
It's been about a month since I took over and now I'm looking at property in Tennessee so to build a yard out that way and go across to Indiana I have a delivery to Indiana then I have a meeting with a local real estate company on Wednesday. Alex, I just have to watch for some decent land deals right around 10 acres so to build my third yard, I have to have at least 15 trailer capacity. I'm also trying to stay under a million dollars for both yards and possibly one in Kansas. I'm just trying to be very cautious, I'm ready to get estimates on my vision for what I want to own. Trust me Alex, you're on the easier end, being a driver this other stuff will give you nightmares. Maybe by 2026 I can expand out Kansas City Missouri? I look at it as a 3-4 year plan.
I would love to travel.the country with you. Such a goofball it would be hilarious
Two nerds driving across America playing Magic the Gathering
Do you remember the Muppets? Swedish Chef was Alex's cooking instructor!
Alex, you can buy an inflatable kayak! That way you can stow it away easy
Like there's 9 cubic feet of readily available space for an inflatable kayak in the cab. Get real. Between kayaking and the RUclips channel, there would be no time left for driving.
Man you need to make an instagram
I did reefer unit and you get used to the sounds it help me sleep at night time 😂
