“Vince was a tough guy, but Nailz, he was real tough” - Gene Okerlund
I havent heard this quote, but is it weird that by reading it I can hear Gene Okerlund in my head saying those lines
@@RasslinManShorts "tough as nails" joke
Would say tough as....nailz?🤣
And a lot younger
Vince proved how he could ignore pain when he blew both legs out and continued his spot
actually yea...seeing vince in the ring, sitting on his butt while everyone looked at him confused...years later looking at it knowing ..or wondering...how much pain he is enduring....and NO SELLING IT!! Mad Respect to Vince for his superior professionalism..On THAT day.
im looking at you Sin Cara 😶
@@killwalker Im looking at kevin nash, since he really screamed hard when he blew out his quad
@@FuutonRasengan1 true. but my point was Sin Cara was a wimp. Nash had skinny legs. Vince had tree trunk legs. Nash didnt lose any respect because he couldnt endure the pain of it...he lost respect because his legs are weak and injury prone. But Vince has a crazy threshold for pain it seems, and Sin Cara does not lol.
Ignored pain? That's bullshit- he was slumped in the corner screaming his head off. Hardly ignoring pain.
@@MattSingh1 lmao these marks I tell ya
“Nailz was right!” -2024 😂😂😂 after all these new Vince Allegations
I don't think Vince had any combat training to make him fight tough but he is definitely a physically tough guy just like Foley, I've seen them both take more damage than any of the legit tough guys. When Vince blew his quads and no sold it it was amazing, at the time you knew he was hurt but not the extent and he just sat there looking more pissed off than hurt, when Zach Gowan opened him up badly he took it like Kratos. What a tough bastard
he went to military school, im sure he has basic defense and offense
Never forget Kevin nash
Pfft.. I've seen Vince move around and throw working punches. He is absolute SHIT. He thinks he's tough in front of 3'1 Bob Costas or arman pussy from ESPN but as far as taking care of himself against someone legit? 😂
"I'm sorry but I wasn't aware Shane was part of The Gracie Family" 😂🤣
That cracked me up too 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Apparently Curtis Hughes is mind
I'm fucking dead lol
I always wonder if Berzerker was guarding the door yelling, "Huss, huss, huss!"
Gotta say next to the Undertaker, Nailz was legit scary to me....the way he breathed hard & intense with spit flying out his mouth & the evil voice whenever he did promos on Boss Man
Nailz to Ric Flair: “Well fire somebody, I need a job right now!”
What? Lol!!
@@Marc_Masters He phoned up Ric Flair once asking for a job, Flair had nothing so Nailz told him to fire someone to make a spot for him.
😂😂😂😂😂 that comment made my day. Thank you!
Sounds reasonable
Came back here after Vince got exposed. Now i understand why Nailz roughed him up!
I hope Nails and the Berserker were in costume when it happened.
If Steve Blackman comes into Vince's office pissed off you'll need more than a few guys to intervene.
same with severn
Same with Haku
Nah. Steve Blackman isn’t superhuman. 2 or 3 guys would be sufficient. Same for Haku and Dan Severn.
@@smarkslowplay3512 If Haku walked into Vince's office pissed off then nobody else would have the balls to enter. Haku stopped the Paul Orndorff Vader fight by just saying "stop"
Stevie ray said he saw haku use the Tongan death lock in a real fight
Nailz accusing Vince of inappropriate touching probably had something to do with it also.
I remember Nailz and the Bossman having a great run and then suddenly nailz was gone and now I know why.
A great run? it was one match.
Kevin Kelly couldn't draw flies using a pile of dog shit
Guessing the grapefruits wasn't big enough back then
They were more like kiwis back then I suppose
Vince’s grapefruits should really be checked out 😉
Given the steroids on the go back then, they were probably the size of glosette raisins.
"I was outside the door ... And big bang and a gurgling sound. I was thinking to my self. S h it" - Bret Hart
@Mike Willett I'd be bitter too if Vince McMahon murdered my brother.
@Mike Willett except Bret hart taped almost everything and many of those tape recordings have been out there
@@drunkensailor112 Bret betrayed Owens widow. Gtfo.
@@starcusmcr3964 oh really. Like you know either of them
drunkensailor112, audio taped?Out where? I would be interested in these recordings.
Today it sounds like he met alone with divas.
Quite possibly the best video title on this channel. Pure gold
Bret Hart proved that Vince couldn't take a punch :P
He gave him a free one. Then got the last laugh
Right? I thought that basically would've ended all these "Vince could beat up so and so scenarios.
Ouchers dude...good ☝️
Conman
Vince gave Bret a free one? That wasn’t free; Vince definitely earned that.
And as far as “last laugh” I’m not sure if you’re referring to Owen’s death, Bret’s early retirement or the stock market scam but either of those 3 deserve a “fuck you” response, so here it is: fuck you.
@@shanestephens4728 Cry more Hart Mark. Yup, VKM is a billionaire with a complete and rich family. Bret is a bitter old mark for himself that threw away his career over a fake wrestling belt that he took too seriously. He would have been rewarded had he stayed loyal. Owen wouldn't have been the blazer and Bret wouldn't have gotten sloppy with a green Goldberg.
I just realized that Starkville is home to Mississippi State University. I always pictured a remote backwater town with < 30 residents.
We have 20,000+ people lol
Charlie needs to come out to his own version of the SCU Theme. Instead "MSUUUUUU".
@ some other members of the cult I spoke with planned Dan Mullen to turn babyface and do a run in to save Charlie in a handicap tag match lol
Thecardkillerscorner, so he turned heel when he went to Florida?
@Joe Greene cmon coach ain't that bad lol hes just not as poetic as Hugh Freeze lol
Vince was a big man, I mean he still is at 106 but Nailz was a fucking lunatic. You could see how crazy he was when big Ray ran down to the ring to get his nightstick back 😂
Nailz vs Virgil was the highlight of SummerSlam 1992.
Over 80,000 saw it live.
Lowlight
@@smarkslowplay3512 It was the reason 80,000 went to Wembley. It is still spoken about today.
That’s crazy to me. And by about 1997 both those guys were completely irrelevant.
Stop it. You've been seduced by the lure of breadstix.
@Kirb What do you mean? By 1997 Virgil was head of security for the NWO. 😂
“Damnit Corny!!! It’s such good shit Pal!!!” 😅😂😂
Neither does being a mad pro wrestler from Pittsburgh.😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol everyone is scared of Steve Blackman
@Nathaniel Baxter oh not selling him short just thought it was funny he was brought up and everyone is like....nope. Dont eff with him.
"It's *Not* TheSize of TheDog In TheFight...It's TheSize of *TheFight* In TheDog!"
Random cringe for the day: Matt Riddle and Bo Dallas form a tag team and would call themselves the Brolievers. I'll show myself out the door now
..... It would get over
Bo Dallas in NXT was actually good heel work. A good kind of cringe like.
That shit's money.
Don't you mean Matt Riddle and *Bro* Dallas? :P
@@Gaelek13 dead 😂
Nailz always looked like joey from fullhouse on years and years of meth

Meth and steroids!
@@lmiller9178 what a combination hahaha
@@brian9670 you got it, dude.
Could Vince take Nailz? According to Nailz he did take him.... 😃

The Thumbnail 😂😂
Where was The Big Bossman?👮
This is definitely my most watched channel
Worthless, violent prison person needs to be in prison
I admit as a child Nails was one of the wrestlers who scared the crap out of me
I would’ve loved to see Blackman confront Vince with the glow-in-the-dark nunchucks.
I always thought Blackman was cool and now I know why cause when they ask who not to mess with in the business it’s haku Blackman of Harley race
I didn't know Cornette was in The WWE for six years. That's not bad.
When think about it, he collected checks from them for 12 years, 1993-2005.
Love the Gracie Family shoutout from Cornette. What a badass.
Horowitz was one of Malenkos boys .... no way Vince doesnn't lose an eye
Nailz gimmick was one of the best of the 90's
He was terrible
I was impressed with him as a kid.
When I look at old tapings, I really love it, when Jesse Ventura made fun of Vince, because he´d never stepped in the ring (in the 80ies). How little did he know then, that Vince one day will become WWF and ECW Champion as well as Royal Rumble Winner. Things Jesse never achieved 🤣
Wow amazing
The booker booked himself to win. Imagine that.
Yaa but when Vince put the title on himself he knew the guy to take it from him would be instant over because Vince really was a great heel at that point you want you next champion to get over have him take mr McMahon belt
@@jimbowlan5804don't know if you were being sarcastic, but noone took the belt off him, he vacated it. He was also baby-face when it happened. It was a fiasco.
He was Tough as Nails😂😂😂😂
I am surprised Vince McMahon doesn't have hidden security (not surprised about his m.o. regarding meeting with wrestlers).
I've heard rumours hbk had a lot of one on one time with vince
Where they became one
There was a lot of backdoor action
A lot of dancy dancy time too-so the rumor goes.
Vince would sneak Linda's red lipstick for those special nights with the Heartbreak Kid
Or...bring his dad with him to talk to his boss when he had problems at work.
So glad he mentioned that being jacked doesnt mean u can fight. Cough cough HHH
There's video of a fan trying to jump SCSA and HHH beat the guy up (along with help from the ref)
Always made me question what HHH would be like in a bar fight 🤔
Ashley B. is me
He doesn’t have the nose for bar fights
@@shanestephens4728 I can't really blame the man. Had mine broken in a fight (way back in school) and it's not a good time. You learn you don't ever want to do that again lol.
Ashley B. is me
Gotta keep those hands up.
Strike first.
Strike hard.
No mercy.
@@shanestephens4728 That's really good advice 🤔
Well don’t hire criminals that boss man arrested
Lol
I don't see Vince thinking he NEEDED protection from the talent after Nailz. Any one of the talent would be WELL aware of what happened to Nailz afterwards, and Vince would know no one would destroy their career over it.
WHO'S THE BOSS NOW, BOSS MAN?!
Shane douglas wasn't Nailz. Kevin Wacholtz was Nailz
Nailz wanted to take him prison style
Vince was shouting for Bossman to come & make the save.
Such good shit pal
@@Hi-kq1vi bossman was no match for nailz lol
And yet Walchoz is partially responsible for Vince bit going to jail
I remember being really disillusioned with the game after this event. I loved Nailz, he was a great character, he had so much potential to take the game up a couple of notches - and that was all squandered by such a stupid technicality as a workplace dispute. Too many of the better characters were being squandered / homogenized. I realise in Nailz'z case he did play an active part in his own dismissal but I'd still come down on his side considering Vince had ultimate oversight and should have assuaged the dispute before it went that far.
I remember a particular weekend Superstars of Wrestling episode where Nailz wrestled, destroyed his opponent and then just stood in the ring, glaring maniacally.
Then the Undertaker's ominous bell sounded and the crowd erupted. I was thrilled! But, I don't remember anything after that. Maybe they ran outta time. Does this ring a bell (pun intended)?
The problem was that Nailz couldn't work a lick, his big move was a 'choke' , and he was a lunatic who couldn't be trusted. It was a fine gimmick though. I would have liked to see more of it. But the man himself wasn't going anywhere.
@@gregcrane4953 - I don't recall that particular occasion, sorry. I know they were being lined up for a feud but it was over before it began.
nailz was a total bum
Alberto Del Rio and Vince McMahon vs Seth Rollins and Jim Cornette book it
You got 150 guys all trying to talk to Vince
And we wonder why they're so many writers and agents are in the company.
There was a Nailz Undertaker feud being planned. I remember their face off during one of the shows and I was really looking forward to the match. Unfortunately it never happened
Undertaker beat him twice in two house shows. I know because I was there. It only took 5 minutes - if that.
I read in a news article (Who knows how true) that the plan was to have an electric chair match at WM9 with Nailz getting fried I guess like Abdullah. think how extra bad WM9 would be considered
I was so disappointed when I saw The Undertaker beat Nailz In under 2 minutes In Los Angeles
Was that televised ? Is it on wwe network
You wouldn't have called security on Blackman. Much as Cornette hates McMahon, he'd have gotten popcorn and watched. LOL
Hey you knew that was Nailz's character. It fitted him well.
"GLAZZ-GO" not "GLASS COW"
I'm Scottish mate we say glesga
@@danielgibby1106 A ken ye say Glesga in Glesga mate :) Am fae D&G though and we dinnae really there hehe
Glasg-o, not Glasg-ow.
Glazz-GO.
Nailed that Glasgow pronunciation
😂
Wonder if he cut the promo on Vince with the voice gadget gimmick before attacking him?
Regardless of the events leading up to and concluding the MSJ: Vince was punched in the eye by Bret. He looked dazed but still walked out on his own power. Vince may be an out of touch egomaniac but he's also a tough bastard.
Our next question...we have time for a couple more. Brian loves interupting himself.
Oh cawd... this is what I was afraid of. Brian interrupting himself is a "stupid move". He needs to screen his questions better too. The internet is full of some real weirdos!
@@wolfgangfrost8043 your reply was like...kewl
Vince at his prime probably would just have done best to grab and squeeze someone rather than punch haha
Vince should be in prison also
Seems like that Dynamic Dude stank lingered on into the WWF🤣
Now if you touch vince, you get fired or suspended, just ask Titus
Lol, awesome, respect, appreciation, shout out to "Steve Blackman" (probably most dominate WWF Hardcore Champion).
If it was Blackman, you need to call a Ambulance.
Vince was strong, big and juiced to the gills but he is very uncoordinated and he looked like he didn’t know how to throw a good punch
Vince Was full of IcoPro at the time so I can see Vince hurting somebody lol
I think when you are a fight promoter... (Pro wrestling, Boxing, MMA.) You are either Tough as shit or you have bodyguards... Otherwise you wind up on your back with Ric Flair's thumb in your eye... (Bischoff)
Nailz and Bret Hart were the lucky ones
So tired of hearing weight and Size . Only matters when one person is more skilled then the other.
I wounder what taker input on this bc u no taker is Vince main man
I'd be happy to see EC3 get his ass kicked by Nailz in AEW any day of the week.
Nailz for HOF 2021
John Nord watched the door of VinceMcMahons office when Nailz assaulted McMahon.
Jim's love for the business and the way a tough guy should look still colours his opinion on whether someone can shoot. Just like him thinking Nia Jax would have anything for Ronda Rousey cause she's big.
Don't forget Rousey was put down by someone smaller then she was. Its not about the size of the dog.
I heard that Bossman stirred the shit pot
Was Nailz before or after Bret left ?
5 years before
Vince is also ex-military and a former athlete. So throw that in the tough guy convos. Even if he didn't see war time, he at least got the training he needed to keep someone at bay on top of him being a muscled up lunatic.
Vince was never in the military.
He went to a civilian run military academy for high school.
@@shooter7734 you think he didn’t get any basic training at the school?
@@psychobluesfxt his best hand to hand combat training he got in that military academy would've been on the the wrestling team, which he was a member of.
Just like the best hand to hand combat training anyone ever got at West Point was by getting stretched by wrestling champion Tom Jenkins.
I was in the army in the 90s and I've done martial arts as well
I can assure you until they built the army/marine combative programs around a Brazilian jiu-jitsu base in the late 90s early 2000s the existing training was mediocre at best.
They weren't even doing the original combatives program they used beginning in WWII formulated by Sykes/Fairbairn in England and added to by Colonel Applegate in the US armed forces, which was actually effective in combat use.
So much so the nazis developed a habd to hand program to counter it.
@@shooter7734 I doubt Nailz would know anything about that lol. But I think it would take an extraordinary shooter to outright manhandle Vince at that point in his life. Even Mark Henry said he was impressed with Vince’s strength even in his late 60s
Jacked doesn’t mean anything other than you work hard in a gym, not in a ring
If Vince hadn't loved Shawn Michaels so much he definitely could have knocked him around.
Bret decked vince with one punch. Legit tough.
No one is saying that Vince is gonna pop someones eye out or lock em in an arm bar but yes i think Vince could of held his own, not kicked someones ass but also not be getting a mud hole stomped in him
Kurt angle said that vince and Shane was in his office and vince said to Kurt so you wanna kick my asd then he stand up and looks angle in the eye and said well let's get to it then
Nailz still scares the fuck out of me.
How can you watch Vince have a one on one meeting?
Corny sees all, knows all.
I'm all hopped up on muscle milk
Why do Americans say Glasgow like that, they must have heard Scottish folk say it at least a few times
A young Vince doesn't strike me as the kind of guy to shy away from an ass kicking. Nailz was a fucking bear though so his chances in that one were pretty much nil.
Bret Hart sure loved it and I can't blame him.
The evolutions of all the characters by Travis, how Vince now looks like an old lady, Tony Khan looks like he's sniffed all of Peru, from Road Warrior Buck to Buck Hogan...those subtle things go so far
vince would beat brian last
Nailz took Vince's manhood
Nailz incinerated his career the day he attacked Vince lmao 😂
Vince's fault for trying to literally screw Nailz... according to Nailz...
He inadvertently saved Vince McMahon by lying
It’s go not gow I’m Scottish and get pissed when they think it’s gow
How do we know if Vince can take a punch???
Umm...Let's ask Brett Hart...
