I have a question. I put my midi track. I'm in E minor but even my OSC1 and 2 are at -12 keytrack at zéro coarse at zéro it's still half tone lower. Do you have an idea why ? Even fine tune is at zéro. Why it play half tone lower than my midi file ? Thanks
Downloaded it a couple of weeks ago for testing a mini midi keyboard... This has changed, lots of new stuff to play around with... But (this has nothing to do with OB-Xd though)... I downloaded the free ASIO driver (for Windows) and it worked great (dull sounding though, but I did not compare it to anything else). Was really low latency... then I just fiddled around and thought I would try some other drivers... Directsound (1 second latency or something)... Windows exclusive... hmm that sounded different, but as for the name... any sound other then coming from OB-Xd was just "in error"... Then I tried Windows Low Latency driver (MS one again) and What the holy hell... sounded TOTALLY different (was low latency 10 ms, not as low as ASIO could get to without distort but still)... My ASIO driver vs Windows low latency driver was like night and day in clarity... ASIO was super dull in comparison... Why? Is it that ASIO is program->soundoutput (RAW)->hardware and Windows low latency drivers add some DSP effects in the end or what? because it was a world of difference... I have no added audio hardware just the inbuilt motherboard Realtek sound chip... But there is a world of difference using OB-Xd with the Windows low latency drivers and ASIO4ALL drivers in sound quality... really really weird...
Your video sold me! As a total newbie, I downloaded the OB-Xd app, but nothing appears on the screen. Do I need to run this app in conjunction with some other program? Logic Pro? Can't afford that. A short step-by-step on what programs are needed would be of great value. And hardware - do I need a MIDI keyboard? Thanks!
could it be this plugin is not compatible with Win7x86? I downloaded and installed it but do not see anywhere I can start it e.g. standalone, as a dll - anyone know if this is possible?

This kind of thing is sometimes related to a mismatch between the plugin sample rate and the sample rate of your host / daw, or audio interface etc. try changing the sample rate in your DAW, maybe
I'm on Mac OS, using Cubase 12...I 'see' the plugin in my DAW, functions light up and presets are there to change...but like you, zero audio can be heard! I'm scratching my head right now!
If you haven't already, try clicking on 'LEARN' button bottom left. While in learn mode adjust the parameter you want to assign to midi, then adjust your MIDI controller. You will need to do this each parameter.
You really did it now... you played Jump on an Oberheim. One of the most heinous crimes that has strict legal ramifications. Even emulations/VSTS break this law.
This looks like the most similar thing to an OB6 I've seen in the VST world, the other OBs dont have SEM filters.

Good synth. Fairly easy to use.

so i downloaded it and once its in my daw no sound comes out at all??
i got the same issue 😒
Same, wth ?
My understanding is that DiscoDSP removed the HQ (oversampling) mode from the free version.
Can you upload In-depth sound design tutorials for specific (any) sounds using magnificent freebies
OB-Xd is an amazing synth. I made an Axel F remake using mostly OB-Xd. Just posted as a first video on my channel
Your cover is very good.
sounds great
i like this vst more than expensive plugins that I have paid for

It’s definitely not advertised as being free on their website
It's free once you pay $49.
@@duel5071 I think its optional
Yes, I understood that you can DL for free but can also opt to pay.
@@ReasonanceHead just checked and it’s not optional
There is no prompt to pay or licence requests once installed.

I was having the same problem...you should click on the 'menu' switch and toggle the 'preset bar' on.
@@adxtyawav9251 That didn't do anything except show the presets. there's still no sound.
Is there anyway to sync the lfo rate ? i've been using it for a while now, and thats the only thing i would love to know
There is now :)
Someone know a complete tutorial how to save our patch and assign our controller ? There's a PDF with it but not anough complet. Thanks

10:34 definitely reminded me of The Wall.
How do we assign knobs from our controller ? Thanks

10:29 I was getting Halloween III Season Of The Witch vibes

Is free but cant be used in commercial projects.
