  • Al Qudra desert cycling track is 86 kilometers long and has a lot to offer. It is equally famous among enthusiasts and professional cyclists. The main entrance of the track is from ‘The Last Exit', Al Qudra. Here you can find food trucks and all the essentials you need for an enjoyable cycling trip. Each route has a different experience to offer.
    Route 1 is a 50 km loop recommended to beginners.
    Route 2 and 3 are smaller and more challenging routes for the professionals.
    Route 4 (The Stick) is a 17.5 km straight road running parallel to D 36 Al Qudra Road.
    The cycle track at Al Qudra is surrounded by a breathtaking landscape. You can enjoy the view of the desert with its dunes and sandy mounds. You might even come across animals like Antelopes and Arabian Oryx, commonly found around the track. The Qudra lake is a man-made attraction that has managed to attract numerous animals and birds as well. Some parts of the track cross between the dunes and hilly trails, making it a great track for cyclists looking for a bit of challenge. If you want to double the joy of outdoor activity, try off-roading near this track.
    It is not necessary to own a cycle for tracking. You can avail bike rental facilities at Trek Bicycle Store located at the end of the road. You can rent bicycles, safety gear, and helmets from the shop. There is no entry fee for Al Qudra cycle track. However, if you rent a bike, it will cost you approx. AED 53 for two hours during weekdays and approx. AED 95 for two hours during weekends.
    Al Qudra cycle track is located in Dubai at Al Awir Road, which is a 35-minute drive from the main city. The car park stand of the track is near the east of Dubai, not far from the Arabian Ranches and Studio City. The track is open 24 hours and you can visit at any time. However, timings are subject to change in Ramadan or on other occasions.
    The best time is before 10:00 am and after 4:00 pm. During this time the temperature is moderate and you can enjoy cycling in an open environment. You can reach the track from Downtown Dubai via E44 or D54 to the AL Qudra Road (D63).
    Al Qudra’s smooth asphalt roads and the mesmerizing desert view are one of a kind. A large number of cycle enthusiasts visit the track for some outdoor adventure. Every year at Al Qudra, Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle challenge attracts a number of international and local tourists.
    DOS AND DON’TS AT AL QUDRA CYCLE TRACK
    Cycling at Al Qudra track is safe and enjoyable, but one must always follow certain guidelines for the best experience. Here are some dos and don’ts to keep in mind.
    Do not visit the track after 10:00 am as the temperature is unbearable after that.
    Do rent gel saddle seats for a more comfortable ride. You may have to pay AED16 additional.
    Do not rent mountain bikes as the track is constructed for regular road bikes.
    Do carry at least 2 liters of water for the track.
