I love how just like when The Stage came out it was an acquired taste, requiring multiple listens to catch everything that was going on. Just freaking love this band. That album is about to be quite the journey!

for some reason this is the first ever A7X song I can name that I absolutely loved the first listening. I'm sure there are a couple of their earlier songs I liked when I first found them, but when I actually started diving into their albums I had trouble liking a lot of songs I hadn't heard before. It's been like that but it's not like I hate the songs i just didn't like em as much as others until I listened a couple more times lol. A7X is easily my favorite band of all time
I have been waiting for 7 years and this new electronic prog space metal phase is just iconic breaking boundaries and social Norms by not having a classical song structure or much variation in the rythem guitar it's just different and amazing can not wait for June !!!!

To me, the interpretation of the music video is this:
A man is depressed in the world and body he lives in. So his soul travels around the earth and through history to find peace and joy. He realizes that the world is full of death and destruction and so meets the devil who then tells him he will take the man's soul to a eutopic paradise. The man agrees and lets the devil take him to this eutopic paradise in a different world. When the man arrives he realizes that this "perfect place" is actually an artificially created hell where no one else exists and everything is fake (because a perfect artificial eutopic world does not actually exists). And so the mans soul runs to the edge of this hell and jumps off into the space time continuum to then rejoin his body. The moral of the story is to be careful what you ask for because you just might get it. Be careful searching for paradise because what you think is paradise might actually be hell in the end.

Actually M Shadows got the idea to this song, after visiting a shamen, that made him inhale some stuff, and taking him into a so called Ego death experience, where it feels like you soul leaves your body, and you can obsterve your own human body from above, and at the same time not really feeling human..
The place at the end with the barcodes and stuff is like the promised land, everyone told you about, but it dosent really exist, lets take a example lets say that heaven is a promised land you was told is there, but maybe it isnt.. that way..
And the suicide note at the end, well you can wonder, did this man kill himself actually, or was it a Ego death experience..
They posted it on lyric genius and there's a comment on the video it's self with lyrics

The album is supposed to be a concept album based on Albert Camus' life and philosophy, "Nobody" would make this song from the perspective of "The Stranger".

Chief you ABSOLUTELY must get to the band called Saphath, it'd be a nice change for the channel, some spicy music there. A banger called "Outcast of Eden" or a lyrical track called "Spider Queen's Call" should unfold some of the awesomeness, there are videos for both. Crazy talented stuff.
Definitely a weird track, but not in any bad way. I think its pretty good, not an amazing song, at least after only a couple listens. I really like his voice on this track though.

Agreed. He sounded good, but seemed to be sustaining notes at a part of his range that didn't sound comfortable
From what was rumored at some point between the stage and this album he had more surgery on his vocal area. Not sure if that is 100 percent but it would be likely since he's had to see doctors back before city of evil and repair the damage he had done.

Okay so yes the situation was true but wasn't surgery. He had gone a couple of months without singing and when they had started the 2018 tour he didn't loosen up his vocals slowly like he needed to and strained his vocals with damage being done so he went to his doctor to get checked out and was supposed to take time to not talk much or sing for a couple of months or more.
So yeah the initial surgery was bad but to have to do all that extra work being careful because he can over do damage easily. So all these years it's probably just been wearing away and this is why we are hearing a more deeper less raspy vocal performance from him.
I applaud him for pushing on because he loves the music, making songs with his best friends and the loving fanbase he's been followed loyally by their side. What a legend

@@ryansheesley3703 no one can keep a consistent blast beat (one hand) while going down the toms and ending on the snare, while doing another blast beat on the high hat, mad man or not, he can’t do that
I love this band. It’s my all time favorite band. There better be better songs on the album, though. I didn’t care for that.
I think when a band changes styles it always comes with mixed reactions, I suppose that's normal
