The EA Sports F1 games were a series of racing simulation videogames based on Formula One motorsport. Six games were released between 2000 and 2003. They were published by Electronic Arts although unlike many other sports covered under the EA Sports banner, were not developed in-house. They were instead developed by Image Space Incorporated on the PC, a company who would later go on to make rFactor using an updated version of the engine produced for this series, and Visual Science, who handled the console versions.
The Formula One games have a variety of 'driving aids' options that can be tailored to the users' own tastes. Thus, in terms of car handling, the game can play either as an arcade racer or a driving simulation. The game also has a bunch of hidden options. Any experimented user could activate these and optimize vehicle physics for a better racing simulation experience.

I'm not able to get this game running in Windows 10: I set compatibility to Windows XP, but the game won't start at all. Also, I wonder if there's a widescreen fix (to enable 1920x1080 resolution)?

does anyone race this online these days? I have been slowly trying to install some of the old days racing sims with limited success on w10 and recall 2002 as having the best online experience back in its day. I havent loaded my rFactor yet but at least know where i archived the auth numbers if it works at all. GTR2?
anyone knows how to make the mods work? I can only run the original game, the addon seasons (cars) don't work. it worked on windows XP, but crashes on W10
Try executing both exe and 3dConfig as admin,and change compatibility mode of both to Windows 98/ME
@@Brenooliveira8989 tried that, it does not work, it must be something about dumb windows garbage splitting savegame/account stuff to "documents" crap instead of the original savegame in the game folder. there's no way to make it work, anyway internet servers for this game is dead. you can't make or find shit.

Yo lo tengo instalado en Windows 10 y corre perfectamente. Pero el caso es que ya viene configurado. Si le cambias la configuración a niveles que no soportan, probablemente no funcione.

@@Martinec1998 i get low fpws and the audio keeps lagging and stopping abruptly and cutting out

FSAA=0
VSYNC=0
VBSTRATEGY=1
Add no-cd patch and run F1C as admin. Shouldn't need anything else to get it running. Oh and try installing it outside of program files, for example install it to C:\F1 Challenge
