    its nice to see daily routine of a ramp agent , I always worry about how you guys handle the hell humid summer death heat out there and then you have the winter freezing cold n snow depending your location , great job to all

    This is the most accurate representation of how regional airports are run and managed. We would sometimes have to park 3 airplanes at the gate back to back.

      @@hueseyin_klnc I’m just about to finish my computer based training. After that, I’ll start on the job training. There’s a lot to learn for the job, but they’ll train you well.

    Does the Boeing 727 100 use the same tug bar as the 737 series and is there a ingestion zone around the 727 since the engines are higher up

      It depends if you mainline or contractor but now they are paying better

    I have an interview with DGS (I think it’s now called unifiservice correct me if I’m wrong) and I’m pretty excited since one of my passions in life is anything planes, any advice to give me if I get the job and I’ve seen people making comments that it’s hard to work your way up here cuz they treat you like crap... is this true??

      I am curious myself. Got an Interview this week. Honestly just looking to gain experience in this field so I'm not too worried about it. Gotta start somewhere. Hope your interview went well though

      Sounds like a company I use to work for (Menzies Aviation) contract companies are always short staffed and expect top of the line performance from employees lol gtfoh!

    This was bad. There were so many ramp safety errors. As a Supv/ALA, I can only shake my head and be thankful no one was hurt. This type of operation is why the Safety briefs each day exist.

    I guess DGS can't afford actual pushbacks or electros for every gate. They would rather use a baggage tug.

      Lektro’s are too expensive and the way it was explained to me is that the training is too much to qualify everyone on it. These small RJs can be pushed out with a baggage tug and we used to do that with the RJ145 while using “Big Bertha” for the E190. Lektro’s are too expensive but they do make the work much much easier. The station I work at now used to own a Lektro pushback but sent it to Newark because it was "too much to handle".

      @@wmuav8tor The station that I worked at for DGS was always short staffed. The day that I put in my two weeks so did about five other people.

      SBN. I enjoyed the work and most of my coworkers, the company itself is crap though.

      I wouldn't work for DGS, don't work for a contract company. If you live in a bigger city, especially if it's a hub or a company like Southwest do that. I work for one of the top 3, and while the contracted employees do a damn good job, they are not paid that well, and treated even worse. If you want a career with aviation, don't work for a contracted company

    look a bit under staffed. what outfit dgs? seen a lot in the first 5minutes who did the walk around first inbound and where was the wing walker second inbound? and i know it happens but i know you were trained not to walk under the wings of a crj.
