To be fair, this is a pretty low-tech version of a monowire. The game's monowire is very thin so it's very sharp. The cyberware also has controllers to extend and retract the wire making it easier to control more like an actual whip and not a lasso as they're doing here. Realistically of course, we don't really have anything that fuctions like CP's monowire.
