After dropping off my baby girl for her freshman year of college, I am now an "empty-nester". I longed for this phase of my life, but now that it's here, I've been lamenting this new season of my life. I believe this podcast is a note from God to me. What I'm feeling is just a part of my story. There is a door that will lead me to the next chapter of my life where I am now the star of my own life's show!
Feels like you read my prayer to Jesus this morning telling him how overwhelmed I was feeling and asking for Him to help me to be still and know that he is God and in control. Amazing how he responds in just the right moment.
Always, you deliver what I need to hear. My wrecks have been all over the place lately: cars, daughter, husband, and it’s affecting my health. I’m feeling like if I died today my husband would have remarry immediately because he can’t figure out how to make the remote, can’t find his phone or wallet. I think I have been an enabler. Created this monster on my back. Thank you being real, for being open, for being uplifting, for bringing hope. We are broken but restored repeatedly by the Lord through His grace and mercy.

Hey Online Spiritual Bestie, I wanted to say, that I get it now. More than This too shall pass but it also is part of the journey. The hard separation in my marriage a year ago was all I could think about daily, Having to live with others until this past June. Now I am in my own apartment and holding it down, thank you for being a great disciple who keeps it honest. I may not be in your circle but you are in mine. God bless you. Coming out of a 16 year marriage and on the journey that God is directing. Glad this wreck is repairable.

Overspending! I need to make a budget and stick to it. Stop impulsive spending/buying! I need to get to the root of the problem, to understand why I have these impulsive spending habits.
I'm soooooooo grateful to have had an opportunity to be able to listen to this message about wrecks, whether it's a car, friendship, family, spiritual, employment, marital, etc. I will continue to slow down, sleep on it, and respond appropriately. I'm thanking God for this message. Amen.

Thank God for grace I took way to many classes. But God gave me a second chance. I followed my spiritual gut and sought the Lord. I dropped the class. I haven’t always been obedient, yet God gave another opportunity and I am blessed because of it. #onelessstressor ❤

The seasons can seem like it’s long, especially, when you can’t see on the other side of it. But it’s best to absolutely slow down and keep a Godly perspective on your life. Thanks for this wonderful reminder!
Thanks for today’s lesson! I am in debt my own doing. My husband past and I went on a spending binge it relieved temporarily my pain but it put me in debt. I have repented and I am trying to come out but life keeps happening and I am retired 64 and working part time. I just can’t seem to make ends meet. Trusting God for relief soon. Thanks I am walking Through the shadow of death praise God. Sherry

A couple years ago I traded my 2006 Honda accord in, had it since 2005 and it had over 278,000miles. I didn’t want a car payment but it was time, the air had gone out and year before that someone hit me in a parking lot after dropping my daughter off to school and it shattered my passenger window. Took it to the insurance recommended repair and they let it rain in my car, so even though they dried to car the top part started to sag over time from being wet.
Now is the time to start looking so you’ll know what you would like when it’s time.❤
Lately I’ve been trying to protect my peace, so situations and people that would get me riled up I have to talk to myself and say it’s not worth the response. I told someone recently that life is too short for them to always live in a state of being offended and being defensive when someone say something to them they don’t like and I refuse to be around that negative energy.
Chrystal, thank you so much for this timely word! I am slowing down to set boundaries with the people I love most, and at work as an entrepreneur. I realize I have lived too much of my life in a hurry and being a people pleaser. It is amazing how "slowing down" will help us to "take a second look" and "keep things in perspective". Thank you again for these three important reminders Chrystal!
I agree with you! No new car for me. I’m driving a 2011 and love it! I work from home and use my car maybe twice a week!
This message was such a blessing, I almost cried. Just last night I was walking in the dark (don't ask me why) to get to our bedroom, bumped into the flat screen t.v. and it crashed to the floor. It didn't shatter, praise God, but a corner piece broke off, and there's an obnoxious gray streak down the screen blocking a good chunk of whatever we might watch. My husband DID NOT take it well and although I took it in stride, (letting him know I'd replace the set), it brought up some decisions I've made, that I am still walking out. I really needed to hear this today. Thank you so much for this podcast, it's a blessing.

This was so surgically on point for my life right now. I’ve been in a season of personal wrecks and then I fooled around and totaled my car. This message brought me so much peace and helped me release the guilt and shame of not LOOK looking. Thank you for letting God use you.

well my job of 10 years I lost possibly temporarily, I have been told this is a season about patience. I did make a mistake, however the owner knows and loves me well. As she has been reminding this week as I went through the things like unemployment she heard my fear or tears and has checked on me almost everyday. She said the test is about patience, she kept saying its ok this is temporary, she said I can't make a heart decision. She said God is telling me let you go for now so he can grow you and make you a better version of you. Its a lot into this story but up until thursday, I felt shame, how could and she and a spiritual mother that I worked with and my Daddy kept saying you are going to be fine don't be anxious or afraid. She said you trust God and I said yes she asked again I said yes but its hard, she said I know but just slow down. In the moments of us conversing initially she probably wanted to say not as calmly as either did what would make ..., this is reassuring me its ok it will past.
I relate to you about not wanting to get a new car. I am in refusal mode also!
I have put out my prayer report that the vehicle will carry me through law school and well after passing the bar exam the first time. Also that I will have cash to bargain with and purchase a new vehicle! Hooray to the Lord!

I have " wrecked" some things in my life for sure.. Relationships, finances, self worth, career choices... The list could go on... What I discovered is I'm good about doing additional damage by not allowing myself grace and getting back up
This too shall pass. The pass teo days have been a nightmare for me. I've felt alone , hopeless and nowhere to turn. I thank God for this message.

This is so good!!! I am always saying wait , one day my baby girl said mom you're a waitress. You always saying wait. Think about everything!. I am laughing as I listen. You have a gift of making soundness, sound funny. But driving the point home !!!
This is a lesson should be shared at age 15, 25, 35, and on and on. Just a recall that is needed. Give yourself some grace. Yes. Take the time to look look!
Your word was right on time fir the season I am currently in. My husband has early onset dementia and my 17 year old son is a freshman in college. He texts me about all of his frustrations with his classes which increases my anxiety. Thanks for the reminder that this season will not last forever and to slow down.

This year has felt like a wreck, but I know God is in control. I was on temporary disability with herniated disc. We replaced the roof after a hurricane, replaced the engine in my car, re-piped the entire home (due to a leak) and then our A/C stopped working last week while 100 degrees. He is showing up and showing out every step of the way, by providing and telling us to trust Him. This podcast speaks to me quite often.

As usual, right on time, Chrystal. I had a wreck with my mouth yesterday. The AC has been out for 8 days, we're down to 1 car after just spending almost $3000 to fix our van, hubby said some craziness etc. Now I'm not a cussing woman and have been described as pretty patient, but yesterday afternoon, something came over me. For a hot minute, it got ugly and I regret it.
today is a new day :)

Sometimes life IS a wreck....I did the same thing, but unfortunately it was not a family members car, I hit the neighbors car and yes it was the blinding from the sun. Thank you for having a positive word in the midst of it. Isaiah 55:8-9

Irving TX roads yesterday.... hit a dip and bottomed out and bust my radiator and cooling fans and oil cooler... definitely wasn't looking 2 deal with this and as financially been strained but GOD be the Glory... don't know how yet but it'll be straight somehow

Thanks, Crystal for being so authentic! My check engine light came on and my heart sank at the thought of the cost. I praised God that although I didn't expect to spend those funds...I had them. Now it's time to look under the hood of not having true friendship.
Thanks, Chrystal! I, too, experienced a car wreck in July in which I was at fault because I didn't look twice. Trust me, I've learned my lesson and did everything I needed to do for the situation to be corrected, but I hadn't apologized to myself/extended grace to myself. Thank you for this encouragement and it will pass. For the past two months I’ve dealt with driving in basically 100 degree Florida heat with hot A/C. It definitely took a toll on me especially making the impulsive buy in March to have it as a birthday gift. I am now paying the repercussions the previous owner did and it left me frustrated. A lot of back and forth with two dealerships and I finally just got back my car with cold A/C, but now my front windshield is cracked. It feels like one thing after another and I got numb about everything, but then I had to remember that at least I still have a car.
I’m still learning how to deal with the frustration that comes along life situations, and would really appreciate any suggestions or tips on how to navigate.
All in all I’ll definitely be more mindful of what I do, the decision I make, and what I say. I will also put into practice the three things that were said in this video. Peace and blessings to everyone.

You always know what to say! I like the part about deciding before hand what decisions you will make. I regret making so many decisions and I’m paying for them. So this is tough for me. I will encourage others to think beforehand though. And I will commit to following God’s rule book for the rest of my days.

I made horrible decisions in my finances and now I’m facing that reality. And it stinks lbvs! Also, my relationship with my oldest daughter has been hair pulling hard. I recognize missed opportunities and the realization that the relationship I have in my mind is not present today, but it may look different next year. ❤

Sorry to hear about you fender benders 😕. My recently messup was getting on the computer at the museum I use to work at. I was just helping out for a few days due to the fact their current worker had to resign. I really had no legitimate reason to get on the computer but decided to anyway and it crashed. 🫤 It was old and I was told it wasn’t my fault, that it was bound to happen anytime BUT that doesn’t erase the fact that I shouldn’t have ever turned it on in the first place. A big regret since it is a nonprofit business and that will be a sooner than later inconvenience and expense for them now. Good to be reminded to show myself some grace in light of the fact I can’t undo the mistake. Praying it will be a lesson learned and that I can I can let it go🙏🏼
