    Called a repair Shop today , they guoted 439.00 to change plugs. OEM plugs are 6.95 each.

    For that #8, you need to remove the engine :D
    Actually, it is easier to do it from the tire well, just remove the tire and it is easier to reach it from there for all of those spark plugs.

      @@stevenstair1068 I agree but guessing a location and unreachable part is impossible with a swivel head extension. A lot of us know that the spark plugs are angled and then skewed in these and are hard to get it on. If you have really skinny or baby hands maybe you can reach it but I could not and I do not have long arms.

      @@scientist100 I didn't use a swivel just a 1 1/2 inch extension on the socket and cracked it loose and fingered it out then back in same way

    I have a 2016 Tahoe LTZ and recently I been feeling my car pulling when I accelerate. I don’t know too much about cars. But does that mean I need new spark plugs?

    Is it worth buying a 2016 tahoe w 65k miles for $6900 ish even though there's oil in the spark plug sockets? (Probs a gasket issue). How hard would it be to fix it (clear oil, replace gasket, new spark plugs)?

      I did not change out the plug wires, i was lucky and none of the wires broke during removal. So I just reused the original and at next service I will replace it all. Thanks for watching 🙏🏼👍🏼

      I think spark plug wire replacement isn’t actually necessary unless they’re damaged during replacement or their resistance is out of specifications.
      Per GM repair manual, spark plug wire resistance should be 170-220 Ω per 25.4 mm (1.0 in).

  • @CopperCanyonTerrapins
    @CopperCanyonTerrapins 3 года назад +1

    It is easier if you go through the wheel well on the passenger side.

    • @lalogvlogs4344

      I’ll probably do it next round of plugs thru the wheel well, thanks boss!

    Did a spark plug change on mine as well and also changed the cables for new ones, but after finishing, my truck got a vibration going on. Was wondering what you recommend

    • @lalogvlogs4344
      @lalogvlogs4344  2 года назад

      Do a top engine clean to clean them valves they could have alot of residue making it run weird, or double check to see if wires clicked in on plugs 👍🏼

    • @user-uh5wr2fv1m
      @user-uh5wr2fv1m 2 года назад

      Make sure the spark plug wires are installed correctly and the wires’ resistance is 170-220 Ω per 25.4 mm (1.0 in).
      Make sure the spark plugs are torqued to 20 N•m (15 lb•ft).
