Hard decisions needed to be made. Moving Dunbar was necessary….over time either he or Big Joe would be hurt-but I am glad he will still be a part of Cross Timbers. Thank you for keeping us in the loop, even though we are just spectators !😄

Having the pasture land makes scene to make 3 heards. Big Joe and Dunbar are rivals, no need to end up with a hurt animal. In the future it would be easier to rotate the bulls then the entire heard
They did that, and the bulls ended up in the same pasture, and Dunbar got hurt.

When I first saw Dunbar I always thought he looked like the bison we'd see from the old west and drawings with his high shoulder and body. I think he is unique and not many I've seen have that look or his character. I love Big Joe too but Dunbar will always be my favorite Bison bull! ❤ 🦬❤ Thank you for all you do to share them with us! It’s got to be a lot of work deciding on how to develop your herds. It would be very interesting to see you do a video discussing that. Do you base it on the size of the bull and females, personality traits and how do you determine the genetics and what features you want to show in the off spring. How do you determine good breeding stock versus good meat stock. Love your videos and all the education you bring to us. ❤❤

We are on a western adventure. We saw the big bison herd in the Badlands then fewer bison than usual in Custer State Park. We left Yellowstone via the north route, we estimated about 600 bison in Yellowstone. Most who visit the park would miss seeing the bulk of t g e herd.

It seems to me that Dusty mentioned looking at expanding by leasing additional land. Putting miles between those bully boys is prudent. Dusty's first obligation (loyalty) is to make the ranch work for supporting his family.

Lady Eleanor needs to go with Dunbar Dusty. She does seem to get on better when she is around him. Sweet sweet Eleanor she's everyone's favorite and we want to see more of her. She is so sweet especially when you're giving her cubes from your hand it's also the reason I called her Lady Eleanor and the song is one of my favorites!
