this is also another reason I subbed the game looks interesting and I can't wait to play it when I get home 😅 basically what happens when I find a new game something gets delayed in the backlog
And this is why I appreciate your sub!
I tried the demo last month and i did enjoy it quite abit that it had to show though i don't see this game being something the majority of gamers will know or care which its a shame because its a good time and the combat is very fluid and fun.
Super recommend it to give the demo a try and will wait for the demo version on pc to see how it holds up.
I’ve had my eye on this one for a little while and it looks pretty cool. Loving these more casual, conversational impressions videos. Great work!
Thanks man!
Waiting on my copy to arrive. Looking forward to playing this.
I played the demo 2-3 weeks ago, and was surprised by how much the gameplay motivated me to keep playing till the end. I've been in the mood for something less narrative-driven than what I usually play, and I think this might be it. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
You’re welcome! Glad to have helped as always!
since i'm not having fun at all with Tales of Arise, imma try this one :'D/
I haven't heard of this game before. It looks interesting. The combat looks fun and addictive. I'll have to make some time to try out the demo.
Yep! At least try the demo!
This one came out of nowhere to me. I saw the trailer for this game a week ago, and it looked promising. My favourite action games are in the character-action subgenre, so I'm hoping this'll deliver a solid experience like those did. I'm just glad that, outside Devil May Cry and Bayonetta, more indies across Asia are trying their hand at this genre.
I got a PC recently, and now I'm able to play Assault Spy, which is a Japanese indie game that focuses on a similar style system to Devil May Cry. I'm having a blast with it, and while I can see its shortcomings, they're nowhere near enough to detract from my overall enjoyment of the game. Very impressive stuff for such a small team, and they found clever ways around their limitations.
There's also the Chinese-developed game Lost Soul Aside, which I've been looking forward to for years now, even before DMC5 got announced. It's got the aesthetic of a Final Fantasy game with intense reactionary-based action akin to Bayonetta, and even before the dev team expanded, it looked like a triple-A experience.
I'm happy about that as well. I think we need more character action games and experimentations in this genre!
This actually looks like a ton of fun. I know most people despise breakable weapons, but a character action game with that mechanic seems really interesting. Also, I'm the rare breed who can take PSone-era voice acting completely seriously, so that isn't a hurdle for me at all. I'm definitely gonna give the demo a try
I admit that I laughed how bad it was, but it was oddly endearing??? It's like, "Aww! Look at that! They're trying!"
@@BacklogBattle Earnest effort can carry a lot more than you'd think
This game looks so nice. I’m surprised I haven’t heard anything about it before this video. I’m likely going to have to check it out. Once again you have convinced me to add a game to my list that I haven’t known of previously.
Coverage was very little, so I’m not too surprised no one knows about it
I saw a trailer posted by Nintendo and I was intrigued, glad you are talking about it… it is definitely on my wishlist and will pick up on sale :) this may not be your cup of tea, but do you have any interest in talking about Eastward? Sounds like an awesome game and would love to see your take on it… thanks again for the video!
I AM interested in Eastward! I just don’t have the time to talk about it!
Oh well… I completely understand the time constraint haha. Glad you are interested in the game though and hope we both get to experience it someday.
feels like an incomplete game (story wise) im thinking there would be a sequel. finished the game in around 10hrs +/- it's that short.
Wow. That is pretty short! Did you like it despite its length?
i like the gameplay but i could have ask for more, it's really lacking. when i reach the ending im like, that's it?! i want to hack and slash more.
Hmmm never heard of this one before but it does look interesting. Although the fact that it is a Korean game and doesn't seem to have a big breasted hot chick in typical Korean fashion, I am a little bit skeptical lol. Still seems to be an interesting little action title!
lol that does seem to be a trope for Korean games...
...but maybe there is one, and you just have to rewatch the video again? 😉
@@BacklogBattle Oh it is also true in Manwa because you can't step foot for two minutes without seeing a hot chick most likely with big coconuts lol.
I played the demo on PS4 and just didn't like it very much, the enemies were always the same, the music was always the same, and when I died it'd send me way to the beginning (so I just avoided the battles with the creatures and fought the robots, except the final one in the lab).
They thought this would make me want to buy the game? Come on.
