"Ain't nobody comin to see you Otis!"
Definitely not comin' to see Otis!!!
They are these days🤣😂
No qualifier -- one of the greatest voices, period!
Yes...definitely
Yes!!!!! He will be surely missed. RIP
Amen RIP.......😪😪😪
David Ruffin use to be the lead singer for the Temptations but he left the group and starting singing by himself. RIP David you will never be forgotten
He was part of the singing group called “The Temptations.”
This was his Biggest Solo Song after being Fired from The Temptations in 1968 for his Ego. Sadly enough he battled financial problems, prison, drugs and even worked as a Carpenter when times got tough. He also worked along with Eddie Kendricks with Daryl Hall & John Oates who were die hard Motown Fans.
One of the BEST GROUPS OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!
Can't go wrong with David Ruffin...one of the original Temptations...he can sanggggg
David Ruffing and Eddie Kendricks made the Temptations the Mighty Temptations, I won't leave out Paul Williams and Richard Street . Richard sung the shit out Hey Girl lol
What Becomes of the Broken Hearted by his brother Jimmy Ruffin is a must listen to.....
Hi @laura kali agree!!🎤🎶🎵🎼
Yes👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
One of the best voices of the last century, hands down.
One of the greatest to ever grace a microphone...King David!!
Donny as well.
FACTS
This is the original lead singer of the Temptation his name is Mr. David Ruffin
This my 1st favorite male singer.. And to ME in this song is one of the best lyrics of all time..He said: I RATHER LEAVE YOU HOLDING ON, THEN YOU PUSHING ME AWAY.. Meaning: he rather leave her now before she STOP LOVING HIM & don't want him at all..
Smh..Damn that's real, b/c I don't care what no one say it's terrible feeling to love someone who dont love you.. That sh!t hurt...Smh.. 😂 LOL.
Young blood don't know who David Ruffin is...know your music history....periodt!!!
David Ruffin was an amazing artist destroyed by addiction. I can only imagine what his career could have been.
My favorite song by David Ruffin. He was originally lead singer for the temptations
Satori, this brutha was the lead singer of the Temptations!
Eddie Levert .teddy pendergrass ,Dennis Edwards. Jimmy ruffin ,Edwin Starr. David ruffiin, Archie bell .levi stubbs ect .....thanks for making our lives a little brighter 😊
He's A Friend Of Mine", By Eddie Kendricks another Great Temptation!
I cried when the Temptations broke up...I loved listening to David especially........
You have nailed it. This is the greatest black male vocalist of all time. Followed by Marvin Gaye. And yes. Music was better in the seventies than any other decade. You had the bee gees, earth wind and fire. The Eagles, you had elton john. You had Stevie Wonder. You had Barry White. You had Paul McCartney and Wings. You had the jackson 5. You had the temptations featuring David Ruffin. You had Dianna Ross and the Supremes.. you had the Carpenters. You had Peter Frampton. You had Queen. You gad Aretha Franklin, you had James Brown. You had Aerosmith, you had Steve Miller Band, ( I could go on and on ). You had the Rolling Stones. You had Led Zeppelin. ( amazing decade )sorry, not forget a country artist, miss Dolly Parton. Also , the Isley Brothers, the ojays. Styx and Chicago. Hall and oates , and of course "Lionel Richie and the Commodores.
Haha. You left so so many out from the 60 s.
@@realcoolbreeze It would take all day to list all the greats. But Ruffin was always in a league of his own.
It didn't seem to matter what genre of music was back then. I remember Glen Campbell's "Wichita Lineman". And I'm not really a Country and Western fan.
David Ruffin was simply the best
What a line up you have there 👏🏻👏🏻
David was the man!!! Back in the 60’s with the Temptations, but I like his solo stuff too. Definitely a great singer of soul. Detroit talent was no joke in those days. It was raw and honest for good or bad, just like Detroit...
But David was from Mississippi. Many of the Northern and Western singers were originally, of course, from the South.
Oh, The Temptation’s we’re another great Motown group…YEAH!
Rip David Ruffin, he was the lead singer of the Temptations Group, they let him go because of his drug addiction someone killed him that’s how he died sad but true.
Pure passion, Soul and grit.
RIP, beautiful David.
Blew this young brother's mind...Love it! Wait 'til he hears Levi Stubbs of the Four Tops.
You get a 'like' for "Walk Away From Love"! Definitely one of my favorite songs.
Mine too!!!
RIP David Ruffin. Your voice was smooth and one of kind. Peace to you.
I love when youngins hear our music. This fantastic singer was one of the original lead singers of the group temptations
HIS VOICE IS THE VOIC E OF "MY GIRL" ONE OF THE GREATEST R&B SINGLES OF ALL TIME WITH THE TEMPTATON.
I love David Ruffin!❤️He was Gorgeous!
I just stumbled upon Gentleman Ruffin today drinking wine. Good vibes
NO ONE finer than David Ruffin. PERIOD.
Every single time he says ohh baby it touches my soul!
David Ruffin was the lead singer on most of the Temptations early hits, including My Girl, Beauty's Only Skin Deep, and Ain't Too Proud to Beg, and many more.
He sang on about 1/2 of their greatest hits.
Indeed David had one of the best voices. I am absolutely mesmerized listening to his mellifluous voice. My favorite songs are the solo performances after he left the Temptations. We hear so much more of the full range of his musical genius post- Temptations. Missing the great Mr. David Ruffin always. RIH David.❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
I played this song so much back in the day!❤️I love when he sings , before love breaks my heart in that sexy raspy voice😍
And then...that magnificent falsetto! Wow!
Yes indeed girl!!!!
One of my favorite singers. I also loved him when he was with the Temptations first. You can hear the instruments distinctively.
Speak your truth. So true. Music back in the days was from the soul. Artists were soul creators with their God given gifts. Artists sung about love, heartbreaks, life experiences, hurt, tears, joy and happiness. Music back in the days would have you in your feelings. You could feel those words. You would become all emotional in some kind of way.🙂
I missed the real music and those was the good old days along with having clean fun.
Loved his voice and this song beautiful!
beautiful voice
One of the Temptations; love David Ruffin.
This is such an outstanding song....even after all of these years.
He was a lead singer from the Temptations who sung My Girl. Should definitely watch the biopic on them. Many memes were made from that biopic, the Infamous “Ain’t nobody coming to see you Otis!”
Womack and Womack " Baby I'm scared of you"....dope cut! 👌
Whew yes!!
Most definitely!
Yes
Yes!
David Ruffin, Eddie Kendrick, Hall and Oates . Live at the Apollo, get ready cuz here I come/my girl. It's sooooo good 👍
Listen to Since I Lost My Baby by the Temptations. David Ruffin was the lead singer. Listen to the Temptations when he was in the group. They became more funk when he left(fired) the group.
His voice was so soulful. No one sounded like him. This is my favorite song by David. He left us too soon. 💔
David Ruffin, Dennis Edwards, Marvin Gaye, and the great Levi Stubbs all gone RIP all GOAT ...Music is not the same never will be again ...
This touches my heart deeply
I love watching your reactions. Makes me laugh every time. Thanks
Played this 45 every day and wore it out! Tears of joy, thank you for reacting to this absolute giant in his day. How I wish I had that 45 🥲 of joyful noise
I was young when I heard this song, and told my parents that, "I would never walk away from love!" And this is an extended version I’ve never heard before.
8:00-I'm glad to hear you say that
8:16-"Today's music is trash!"-I agree with that, too!
this was real soul music and i love this kind of music.
Now THIS is music!! Grew up listening to the greats....my Dad was a music connoisseur....real music....RIP Daddy....takes me back to some good times!!
This song was produced by Van Mc Coy in middle seventies...........his earlier work with the Temptations will take your life to listen to....so get started for a true treat.......
Love, love that you love the old music. We had the best and glad you are hearing it. More Motown please.
Regards from Australia.
Natural best ever, if there was no music behind him , I’d stand on the corner and listen to him, if you didn’t believe him when he sang you’re probably dead
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL ❤️❤️
David Ruffin sang with the Temptations back in the 1960's!

That part when you said ....that the music back in the day was better than today's!!! Big facts!!!!!
Lead on the temptations My girl and Ain't to proud to beg
David Ruffin used to be one of the Temptations.
It's the state of the mind of Black people that dictates the music
David Ruffin one of THE TEMPTATIONS. ONE OF THE GOATS IN HIS TIME. RIP MY MAN 😘🙏🎶❤.
This group started in the sixties a lot of their music revolved around times that we're going on this was pretty much through the Vietnam War when people are World way and left their love things here always look at the year the music you're listening to just got into some regular history that's in a book everything will be parallel music is a beautiful thing once again I love your reaction to this but this song is a lesson to be learned
To be able to relate that's all I'm saying was somebody want to drag me
Him and Donny. Respect
King David nothing less!
If you heard, "My Girl," by The Temptations, you've heard David Ruffin!!!
He used to sing with the temptations.if you have never seen the temptations movie check it out you'll understand his story.

People sleep on David's falsetto. But damn, he reaching without trying.

He was one of the Lead singers of the Legendary group The Temptations of Motown records.
Man! Shout out to my generation. They really hookin you up. ✌
Did you start to talk about Bones Thugs & Harmony? If you were speaking of that, the writer of those songs is David Ruffin Jr. look him up, he's a friend of mine online and has stayed busy writing and recording his own music !!!
Ty ty music was great back then

If this don't hit ya, check for a pulse!
Listen to Eddie Kendrick, another lead singer of the Temptations
Eddie Kendrick and David Ruffin were the best singers in the Temptations, but Paul Williams did not get much credit for his voice.
The voices!
I LOVED Paul Williams voice!❤🥺
Temptations for life.
There was a moment or 2 where I had it on repeat. Thank God I climbing over a mountain
it is so on point, original lead singer for Temptations before he went solo and Eddie Kendricks took his spot. Heroine took him on a bad course.
Are you kidding me, he is beyond awesome, he was with the Temptations you got to go back and really listen to his songs, he was one of the lead singers of the group, then went on and did a few albums on his own.
David Ruffin...Statue of a Fool....great music. Check out some Lou Rawls too!
Listen to him sing lead with the Temptations song Cindy! 🎶🎶❣️🎶🎶
