Since we both filmed our videos it has gotten even worse! Now he has doxed a families home location putting that family (the children) at great risk. That is insane and dangerous. I have no idea how youtube has allowed his channel to keep going. Blows my mind.
The bad mouthing of women's appearance is what turned me off to DCP. I don't think it is snark, it's bullying.

I used to watch DCP but I just can’t anymore. He got so ruthless.
I personally know Josh and currently go to the Church he was fired from. As you can probably see Josh's first impressions are amazing, but as time goes on his true character shows. I have had Josh's family over for dinner and his daughter and mine played together. Josh being a Worship Pastor was all about the performace and show. He did not lead spiritually the volunteers he had on the worship teams and would regularly schedule his favourite people to lead. I know Josh was burnt out but mostly that was his own doing. He always had these huge ideas that the Church did not ask him to do but would let him have creative control. Josh did do a lot of great things but it was the Josh show and it was his way or the highway. So saying basically the Church did him dirty is wrong. There is no good way to fire someone and he wasn't what the Church was ultimatley looking for. The funny thing is that he thinks he was wrongly fired but the new Worship Pastor is a female and was pregnant when they hired her and she is now about to take her second maternity leave. Anyways there is always more side of a story and Josh clearly has shown his true Character and how crude he is. I don't hate Josh but I do hate what he is doing online. While he was at the Church he would talk about making it big on youtube so I think he found a ticket and ran with it. Also his wife is the most sweetest kindest lady ever.

I used to binge his videos about Myka, but eventually finished less and less and couldn't get through the first minutes. I had this as well with Jimmy Snow, learned a lot at first and enjoyed it at first. But then it felt more and more aggressive and agitating, I feel that's whats happening with him as well, losing track of why and where he started and almost misdirecting his passion
I really loved DCP and I am a paying member of his channel… I am unsubbing and canceling my membership bc of the Petito case… she is a young girl who he’s exploiting for his gain… exactly the reason why he hates on these moms… I haven’t cared about his content and making fun of the mommy bloggers but I am done. I am done.
I struggled with the moderators deleting my comments. I mentioned being pagan and for that point more of my stuff got.deleted. I replied to a comment about gp's autopsy. It was just "hey, let's not look for that because that's sad and gross. The only people who should have those details are family and authorities. here is a link to a site that discusses marital homicide stats and domestic assault". deleted. Straight up deleted.
I have to disagree, for the simple fact that social media helped find her, so all he is doing is bringing awareness to the search for Brian and keeping people update don the details of the search in the hopes that someone will hear a detail they can connect to and therefore provide their help!

But it’s becoming out of control !! the speculation on the case and all for financial gain, some RUclips have 30 videos of Gabby !! Now Gabby was found , now it’s of Brian ! Another 30 videos , some put 2 videos a day !! Livestream of 2 hours long.. if the FBI are not talking of anything of what they are investigating, who are the youtuber to think they are better, and they know all. I’m for all the publicity on any case, but this is going a lot too far. There are you tubers that gain hundreds of followers just because they are COVERING the case. I get up in the morning and watch THE NEWS, if they found Brian or not. If they are still looking for him, I will find out on the news, no need to watch a 2 hour live, or youtuber wanting to make money on someone’s pain.

I just raised the issue of what impact all of this might have upon their other children. I was not criticising him at all. I was just making a general comment and he took it the wrong way and gave a snippy response. I have only really watched his Myka videos.

It’s seriously getting out of hand.
I started out LOVING Josh’s content on Myka Stauffer. That’s how I found him and watched him pretty consistently. And I do love a good snark. But, eventually it started to feel like he has an issue with women. Shaming women for their bodies and appearance (and sex work) and acting like it's impossible for a woman who cares about her looks or does OnlyFans, to make an income, is incapable of being a good mother. That rubbed me the wrong way. Also, he did that call with Cheyenne (the mom who was dismissive of her son crying while trying to make a thumbnail). While I appreciated him confronting her about it, he made several comments about her being a “clearly beautiful woman”. She repeatedly said she would consider taking her son out of her videos because she felt she could be successful without her sons in her videos, and he entirely disregarded that. Idk... I just feel like he has a weird thing with women. I appreciate his mission of stopping the exploitation of children and if Myka Stauffer ever came back I’d probably watch his content on her. But I'm iffy about him over all.
It was the shaming of sex work that did it for me. I’m a camgirl. I can’t handle that kind of discrimination against a profession. I even commented multiple times about how I feel and his community ridiculed me and then he deleted my comments. Soooo sadly he doesn’t have much care for the rights of sex workers which is like awful in my opinion

I’ve gone back and forth with him in the past. He reached out to me after I made my video offering commentary on his delivery. He was not happy about it.
Before I used to think he was maybe not seeing the full picture clearly. But after our interactions via private dms I will say I don’t believe he has good intentions and I don’t believe he genuinely cares about the cause. I think he cares more about growing his platform. Because his fan base is largely made out of women that enjoy him bashing these mommy vloggers he will not change his delivery because he wants to maintain and grow his channel.

I am thrilled you finally made a video about this! I watched his ex-pastor series as well, but since I wasn't raised in a church it was interesting to hear your take on it. The church may have done him dirty, but one of the takeaways for me was that it seemed like he was always more interested in the performance aspect of what his job there was and that maybe it just really WASN'T the best fit. Even talking about it now he seems to recall more details about the production value of his service than the time spent on guiding the people who showed up. I think he's a performer at heart (and I mean that as a compliment) and with him the message therefore always ends up coming second. It was really telling because I think it has a lot to do with what he's doing on his channel now.
I completely agree with your assessment though. He says he thinks the "snark" spreads his message, but I don't know how many parents you'll get to agree with your point of view if doing so means agreeing with him that you're guilty of child a and a bad parent. Combined with the mom shaming he's just screaming into the void at this point. I think a lot of his subscribers' hearts are in the right place with him, but I also think there's a good percentage of them who are moms, have been home for the past year and struggling, and need an outlet. I say this because, as bad as Josh is sometimes, I often see similar or worse behavior in his live chats. I think that has something to do with how much growth he's seen in the short time on youtube. I don't know if Josh started out with good intentions in all of this. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he did. But I do know that several people who work or volunteer on issues similar to this one (myself included) have offered Josh some advice, corrections, even connections and were treated pretty rudely. I know I messaged him about a year ago now and things have just gotten steadily worse from there. He has seemed more concerned with the growth of his channel than the cause he exploited himself in order to grow it. And it's really unfortunate for the people working on these issues IRL.

@@reilly4678 FYI only, he does more than mention it. He discusses his own brief experience with family vlogging a number of times, some of them at length. Took a funny video of his kid's home perm and stuff. Has never tried to say he didn't. Peace :)

I feel like Josh just couldn't hide his true colors for long. He just really hates women and wishes they would be invisible and voiceless. It does show that he used to be a pastor; he can't hear anyone's voice but his own.
You should look into his podcast with CC Suarez if you haven’t already. It’s cringe. The things he talks to her about and asks her are creepy and I feel they cross boundaries. IDK it might just be me, but he rubs we the wrong way. Especially with how he approaches women and speaks about women. CC comes off as a mean person and kind of vapid. Just my opinion.

@Bob Burger that’s gross for her to make fun of smaller creators. She was in their position once and isn’t even a “big” creator herself right now. She and Josh are similar. Snarky and commenting on people’s looks instead of more valid arguments that help their causes.
Yes in CCs last video she makes a statement that if you are in debt its because of your own poor financial choices. Its so hurtful when we all know that many people in the US dont have access to health care, so when medical things pop up they have no choice but to go into debt. It was such a clear sign to be that she is not a good person.

The whole Gabby Petito thing is what really made me turn away. I did not like how he was treating it like his own personal game of clue when there was a real family grieving their daughter, not knowing what was going on, and he’s looking on google maps like “oh he walked past this tree so he must’ve been here at 2:47 pm and the 18th”

I think this whole video is a deflection of the fact that the people he is calling out are child abusers either being the fact that the statistical majority of them are women or a deflection of the fact that he’s an ex-church member. At least that’s what it seems to be being that she spends no time giving him credit for calling out child abuse as just goes on and on about his personal history. Yes, his method of calling these people out isn’t for everyone. It’s very crude and I certainly wouldn’t use that method if I had a youtube channel and decided to use it to call out child abuse. She says all he does is make fun of these which is not true. He uses his channel to call out attention and consistently says that people should get involved as in calling their political representatives and leaders, create partitions and go door to door raising awareness all in which he has done and he always shows the receipts for it. It’s all done in the name of creating and extending child abuse laws and childhood labor laws to the internet to stop this child abuse in all manners including but certainly not limited to child exploitation. I’m not ranting at her or anything of that nature but it’s obvious that she hasn’t done enough research into some of the actions the families and individuals of the channels he is calling out nor has she watched enough of his videos. Regardless of what she or anybody else thinks of Josh’s methods, if somebody wants to comment on someone else’s life and content, then not only do they have to watch more then just a few videos they also have to keep watching their videos and spend at least a few days if not a few weeks doing research or they will never get the whole picture.

He once "reacted" to a relatively innocuous video of Myka using old wive's tales to try and figure out the gender of her baby, and while I HATE Myka, and would never defend anything that she has ever said or done, the way Josh absolutely ROASTED her for "believing" in these old wive's tales came off as genuinely misogynistic. Like, he went past the point of "I'm making fun of a bad person so it's okay" and went straight to: women are f*cking stupid for believing these old wive's tales work. I commented beneath the video expressing my concerns, and was immediately set upon by his fans, saying that he wasn't a misogynist and making fun of Myka didn't mean he was making fun of all women, but that's exactly how it came across to me. He was making fun of pregnant women in general, and the traditions that they do, and that just... hurt. It felt gross and wrong and the reaction of his followers made me stop watching him altogether.
That's truly awful. Knowing what we know about Myka, it would be fair to say she is exploiting her pregnancy for views/money and clearly NOT because she really believes in that stuff. Anyway, I guess it's her prerogative if she wants to make that kind of content and her fans enjoyed it. It seems completely harmless and it's normal for women to get excited about the babies growing in their bellies. Why not keep the focus on the well being of the children? What a weirdo.
@@caseyw.6550 He also named the video something really gross and clickbait-y, like "Myka pees in a jar TWICE," which, again, why he is sensationalizing a video where Myka didn't do anything within the video that would warrant the kind of absolute hatred and vitriol he put into his reaction to it...? I understand that you can't always separate the "bad" person from what they've created, and so everything they've created is fair game for ridicule, but in this specific case, he was basically using a non-controversial video, clickbaiting it for more views, and then insulting pregnant women everywhere who use these methods or just have fun trying them...? idk. it left a really bad taste in my mouth. Women who you don't like are still PEOPLE. Yes, she did a heinous thing, and I think there should be consequences for it, but I don't think those consequences should give Josh a free pass to degrade her, and all the other mommy bloggers, for just everyday, non-abusive or exploitive, aspects of their lives.

I was debating on unsubscribing to DCP I enjoy his religion videos and some of his snark. But when I DM him on Instagram to talk to him about his negative speak on SW (from a SWer) after his digital princess videos and he was so closed minded to ANYTHING I had to say about why his way of talking about it damaging made it clear he's just misogynistic and still has a purity culture mindset about women.
I used to watch The Dad Challenge channel but I could see that in Josh’s fanaticism against family channels, he would hurt good people in the crossfire

He knows EXACTLY how to utilize crowd funding. Josh now has a new congregation. He is a spin doctor.

I'm only 6 minutes into this video but the comments on this video make me feel a whole alot less crazy.
I to have been involved with a church and it was pretty much a cult. And unfortunately the tactics Josh uses on his fans and mods is pretty the same. He literally does the same thing they do to people in alot of these churches. What I got from his pastor series was that his focus was on adoration and fame and being the center of attention. IMO he doesn't really seem passionate about his relationship with God or at least that doesnt seem like his focus. He does the same with his channel. He is all about growth so he can be heard and have a louder voice. His own words. Unfortunately I don't think he ever had good intentions. He knows what he is doing. He saw the myka situation blowing up and he cashed in on that. The way he treats the mommy vloggers is disgusting. Has gone far beyond just making fun of them. He encourages people to call cps, messes with their sponsorships, tries to deplatform them, and degrades them as much as possible. He degrades these woman everyday while telling his women fans how beautiful and special they are. How great they are and how horrible these moms are. It's pretty deranged if you ask me. Great video. Firstly, overwhelming a system that’s already so overworked, underfunded and under staffed is sickening. By wasting their time, they are ensuring that children being reported for in other situations have to wait longer for the help they need.
Secondly, there isn’t enough evidence of abuse happening and if we keep calling over small things, when CPS is needed and can actually act, it won’t hold credibility. When random internet people call over nothing, they will assume that and not hold it to the same priority otherwise. There are kids needed them, so why continue wasting time?
Thirdly, when CPS is called and they can’t do anything and they are indeed abusive, all that will do is cause parents to lash out at the kids. Parents will be more discreet with their abuse making it much harder to catch. They may even go so far as to limit their interactions with the outside world so that they can’t be taken. Not only is this a control issue, but a money issue.
Stuff like this annoys me because it almost always does more damage than good. This moral superiority complex really has him leading masses into actually (potentially) endangering children even more.

He is no better if not worse then some not all of the "mommy Bloggers/vloggers". I had a run in with him over a comment and I refuse to watch anything he has to say. HE IS A BULLY! IMO

I’m just a few minutes in but already have to say I agree with where you’re going with this and I’m so glad you made this video! I watched him for a bit when the Stauffer situation happened, and appreciated his zeal for stopping family from exploiting their children, but over time I became more uncomfortable with his methods and attitude. Like, there’s no need to shit all over someone for having bad makeup. There’s just not. There’s so many legitimate things to criticize and call out; you don’t need to call them stupid and say they have bad taste and makeup to make that point. Is it funny? Sure, sometimes, but that doesn’t help the cause. Bullying someone offline so they stop doing what they’re doing isn’t fixing the situation. You haven’t changed any minds or helped them see the light; you’ve just been so needlessly cruel that they gave up. But that doesn’t mean they won’t keep doing the same thing in other ways. Also, better to educate and maybe show that you can make a living from influencing without exploiting your kids, rather than bully them out of their primary source of income. Sorry for rambling, but I’ve been pretty annoyed with his content for a while and some of the creators who support him have lost some of my esteem too.
I feel bad for his daughter when she is older. He says that people who do adult videos are bad parents, but the reality is someone who goes on the internet and makes all these public statements about what makes a woman good or not good, his daughter will grow up and have to have those same messages pushed on her and that feeling of shame sets in. When he was going off about false eye lashes I felt humiliated because I have false lashes and Josh was basically just saying woman with false lashes and nails are bimbos and airheads. I have two degrees. I am not a bimbo nor am I an airhead, a grown adult male policing what women wear and how they look is the real airhead.
My final straw was when he had a go at a family channel when one of the kids hit hurt. Kids get hurt being kids but he was just nasty about it.
i completely agree! i watched him a lot in the beginning of his myka stauffer series and overtime he really kind of lost me. his comments about womens appearances (good and bad) really rubbed me the wrong way and seemed very childish. once you start criticizing someone’s outer appearance, i’m out. i can’t stand when people in real life do that and i’m not gonna make myself watch it on the internet either. i think his heart was in the right place in the beginning but i feel he’s really lost sight of that in the last few months.

He’s bothered me so much lately. So I came looking for videos about DCP, mostly to see if anyone was feeling the same way I am. I can see from the comments that I'm not the only one. I started out loving Josh, with all the Myka coverage, I thought he was really fighting a good fight. I slowly started to be put off by him with the way he speaks about women. It's not just them having their kids on the internet, its everything about the woman herself. EVERYTHING. He nit picks every aspect about women. Its not just mommy vloggers anymore either. I found it really strange he covered the Gabby Petito case but then it became clear what he wanted from the coverage. He wanted the clicks, comments, and views, and to profit off of it. I watched some of the streams and he really didn't know much on his own. He relied on everyone else's information and to get him the most updated information in order to make his streams. He really doesn't know much of what he's talking about. More recently, he made a tiktok about if it should be ok for women to smoke weed and parent. If it should be normalized or looked at like alcohol. He then proceeded to only like or engage with comments supporting his views. Wouldnt even really engage in comments that opposed his view. Ofc his view is weed is bad so he's not even open to educating himself about how it could help people. His stance is "well its illegal here, so its bad everywhere". Which I think is fine to have as long as you're not bashing people who view it differently. However, when you ask your viewers what they think, then only engage with the people who have your view, is pretty shitty. I know for a fact he made that video to piss people off and get the views for it. All while knowing he wasn't going to have any sort of open conversation with it. Its honestly my last straw with him. I really enjoyed this video and your thoughts on him and this situation. Its refreshing to hear an open take without bashing or belittling. Thank you!

So my issue, people digging in comments looking for gp's autopsy. I find it gross and commented on his video how it's a kin to seeing grandma in the buff. Nobody but authorities and family need to know the sad and gritty details of gp's last minutes. He deleted my comment. I included stats on domestic assault and homicide. Deleted. Just deleted and I found it rude
WOW this is so disgusting. I love true crime but there is a way to do it with respect and aiding the family, and then there are people who do it for their own selfish reasons. Josh is the latter :(

I found Josh through the whole Myka situation like so many, I really felt for him, I understood what it was like to battle with faith and organised religion and was looking for something to channel his passion into.
But as I watched I noticed his bullying behaviours, how he'd just make video after video after video of the same subject and they weren't short videos, how he'd talk smack about the silliest little things. But I found his pastor series interesting and held on a bit longer.
But I had to just stop, because watching him stopped lifting my mood and it doesn't sound like he's gotten better.
Dad Challenge Podcast recently made a video about Zoe Laverne. Someone commented "what does the eyelash part have to do with the video?" And he flat out replied "I was making fun of her ridiculous eyelashes. It's what I do." I don't think what Zoe did was right, and I do believe that the Dad Challenge Podcasts intentions for ending child exploitation are good, but we need a messenger that's not going to bully others.
Thanks for making this! To be blunt, it’s a real bummer that Josh is such an ass. He does have a good mission hiding somewhere in his content, but it’s so buried in misogyny and surface level snark that his content is unbearable.
He tends to also share pretty homophobic and transphobic messages often. He’s even promoted an incredibly harmful and unfactual book about ‘the harm of trans men on ‘cis’ girls’. I (as a lesbian) sent him a very level headed and kind dm about his homophobia and transphobia that I see as stemming from his growing up in the church, and it was taken extremely poorly.
He also regularly shares his not pro-mask opinions. He claims it’s nuanced, but he’s actually just succumbing to right wing, anti mask talking points.

The church is a GREAT way to keep on the path that the Lord want us to be on. The Bible has all the answers to what we need to do. I get so tired of those that state “oh he / she is a Christian” look how they are acting or doing. There are some that can give Christian’s a bad name, and one cannot take that out on the Lord due to someone’s else’s bad judgement. The Bible talks about men sleeping with men and vise versa women with women. The Lord gives one the ability to choose how they live their life, BUT it also tells us what will happen depending on which path one chooses to walk on. Life here on earth is very very short , BUT.. eternity is FOREVER.. never ending ETERNITY. One needs to be wise and choose better choices for that life other than a life here that will be short lived.

My problem with Josh is his mission is a good one, to stop the exploitation of kids, but recently he has been so much more problematic like talking about True Crime or “real crime” without any research. He just spits out things. Now he’s recently saying things like “Let’s go Brandon” or like “dumb liberals”. He’s the one that had said he’s in the middle and wouldn’t get too much into politics, now he’s like full on politics and when people comment about how they don’t like that he completely shits on them in the comments or in the live stream. If he’s far right that’s fine but just say that and don’t hide behind “I don’t talk about politics. I’m in the middle.” No you’re not. His true crime videos and lives have no research whatsoever, people on the lives just type shit up and he repeats ir as if it’s facts.

Sorry) coverage of it. When Josh started covering it I watched it but with a bit of a side eye. Now he's put up a video about Taylor Swift, who I already loved, and at this point it's looking to me like he's following drama to get views. Videos like that have nothing to do with the cause. I think I'd be more fine with him branching out if he didn't say that's the whole reason he's on RUclips. Seems sus.

I agree with you that Josh's content is off and how he puts out his content. He may have good intentions but him poking his nose were it doesn't belong is wrong. He needs to understand that the Internet/RUclips is a public forum and anything can happen in Public. I have gotten into it with a couple of his subscribers about the issue with anything goes in public. His subscribers believe that children need to be shield by their parents in public so nobody can see them. Anyone in public can think inappropriate thoughts about children but that doesn't mean that children cant be in public. I dont understand why Josh is putting out the message that its an unsafe place on the internet to put children on. Schools, grocery stores, malls, playgrounds, theme parks, pools, restaurants, churches are all unsafe if you think about it. I have close family friends and family members that are police officer, lawyers, Social workers, and Court judges that will agree that what Josh's content is wrong. If Josh really is wanting to help children from being exploited then contact the local Police Department or a Child Protection Service agency instead of going on RUclips and posting an episode. Also why is he just going after Family friendly Content on RUclips? There's children in movies and TV too that could be exploited.
Yes! So true! While I agree that no one should be making *money* off of their kids on YT, I don't think kids being online (in a general sense) is necesarily harmful. Yes, they might regret things they've posted in the long run, but so can adults! Adults can easily tweet, post a video or photo of something that may affect their job oppertunities, etc later too. I think an extension of Coogan's Law would be a good idea - eg 90% of the video money goes into an account, or for every minute a child is on, out of 100% (all of the video and income) 5% of the income goes away, eg a child on for 5 mins in a 100 min video would have 5% of the money put away. (LOL I used 100 mins as an example becuase I suck at math lmao)

I'm torn on Josh. I enjoy his content but also feel that he does sometimes go too far with his snark. I also dislike that when it come to family vloggers, he tends to put the blame primarily on the mother and act like the father just has no choice but to go along with what ever is being done.
As for the Gabby Petito situation, I have watched some of the videos he made and I do believe that he at least started down that path out of concern. He mentions that he doesn't normally do true crime but this case captivated him and that he might consider doing more true crime in the future. That said, the fact that he was made multiple, super long lives about the situation, when there is really not that much information to be shared, is a little strange.
There is also the ethical consideration of getting the public involved in a case like this. I recently watched the netflix documentary about the Elisa Lam case and was horrified to learn about the man whose life was basically ruined because the internet decided he was a murderer. I think the public needs to be very careful about how much we involve ourselves in police matters like that.
To add onto the Gabby situation: it really skeeved me out to see him ask SEVERAL times for people to like, share, and subscribe. Nobody should be gaining any kind of social capital off of this tragedy

I LIVED for the pastor series. I really have enjoyed watching josh. And I think some of the criticism is a bit knit picky. BUT josh said something recently that really bothered me. I don’t remember which video is was (maybe Channon rose) but he said that sex workers should not have children. I am paraphrasing of course but that comment was upsetting to me.
I’ve tried to subscribe to him a couple of times because some of his videos are interesting, but I just can’t. He’s incredibly misogynistic, and I agree with you his comments about sex workers and children really rubbed me the wrong way also. What girls and young women are wearing seems to be a sizable focus of his commentary. On the one hand, I do think that there are cases where kids, especially young girls, who are in the public eye are sexualized at a young age and that’s disgusting. Additionally, Josh turning into a mean bully kinda reminds me of how how people treated LameGothMom 2yrs ago, when she started sharing her opinions about family vloggers. She was unscripted, very little editing, regular phone camera or a handheld camera on a tripod. Ya, her lisp was hard to ignore, yes her hair was awful, ya she needed a better microphone than a clip-on one, but I liked what she had to say a lot of the time. I liked what she had to say about the Griffiths Mormon empire, Tara Henderson, Angels Branff, Knorpp and South, Jamerielle Stewart, Jess Skube, Katie and Cullen, Aspen Ovard, Duggar’s, Chloe and Beans, Norris Nuts, Crazy Pieces, etc, she did a good a job, just speaking in the moment, and I just still don’t understand why so many people hated on her, but, she ultimately stopped her vlogs bc she got doxed a few times and she was getting death threats.

I really appreciate this video. I think you are spot on about A LOT of things. I also appreciate how you chose to convey your thoughts in way that doesn't stir up a defensive reaction, while standing firm in the way you see the situation! I think with a few other creators who have talked about Josh on their channels, the approach is super abrasive therefore making it harder for some ppl (including myself) to remain open-minded and willing to hear their pov.

I first heard of him through 10 to Life with the case on Sophie Long. He seemed.. icky. And now CC Suarez started a podcast with him and I'm like 😬 won't be watching that. I'm just starting your video so I'll come back with my thoughts after!
I unsubbed from CC and DCP around the same time. Before they announce their podcast together. I was getting bad vibes from both of them. Neither one of them should do live videos in my opinion because it really shows their true colors, and it’s not good.
@@Blue_Jane I love CC to be honest. But the way she criticized the people she was making a video on. Yeah sure if they are selling skincare and shampoo, go right ahead and criticize their skin and hair. But when she started commenting about their teeth...they aren't selling teeth-related merch. I have bad teeth, no fault of my own, just bad genes and medication and long term illness. And I feel really self-conscious about that, to the point where I don't leave my house. And then to talk about someone's skew teeth was for me a slap in the face, because I'm sure people talk about me that way.
CC Suarez lost me when she put out a video last week saying that if you are broke its because you made bad choices. As a single mother, who left an abusive relationship and had medical bills.... how were those my bad choices? She is out of touch. Shes a secret right winger too.

I probably made some bad choices when I quit a job that affected my health so much I was having seizures at least once a day, I probably made bad choices when I didn't finish my studies because I was juggling full time work and full time studying. I probably made a bad choice when I decided to buy a house when my rent payments became more than a mortgage. I probably even made a bad choice when I fell in love with a wonderful man that worships me but due to mental health can't work a full-time job. I made a bad choice when I prioritised trying to find out why I was so chronically sick, and spent more than 4 months' salary on that.
It's easy to criticise other people's lives. When people critise me I tell them for $1000 a month they are advanced to the Critical Dad Tier, and they can criticise me all they want.
@@sarabobara8458 That last line was unnecessary. People are allowed to vote differently than you are. Checks and balances are vital for the stability of the nation. Support whomever you want, but it's pretty weak-minded to put a black mark against someone because of political affiliations. It's pretty easy to have civil conversations with people with different views and to find common ground.
In his first video of the coverage on Gabby he basically says that she is the aggressor in the videos from the police body camera footage and almost sided with Brian. There was limited information at that time but those videos clearly show how this poor girl was terrified of saying the wrong thing in fear of repercussions later. He has no knowledge of domestic violence and abuse and should have been much more neutral from the beginning. It’s very interesting that he quickly switched his tone as more information came out, which seems very disingenuous.
i'm glad other people feel this way. i watched him for months and only recently stopped watching because i started to second guess and think about some of the things he has said. he has always been 'snarky' but some of the comments he makes are really weird when i look back... just like very misogynistic, conservative vibes. I really think he could be doing something good with bringing light to child exploitation and he somewhat is but at what cost? at first i was all in it for calling out people but as much as i don't like family vloggers he just keeps making fun of people (shaming looks, his covid/vaccine comments, sex work etc) like a kid doing skits and it's not even funny anymore just plain stupid.
Also you have helped me decide to give up my unhealthy obsession with Dougal's bashing of the Ingham family. I started getting into the snark. I just need to pray for their children.

Having followed you since day one, I have to say I'm so disappointed in this video. I got twitchy when you moved over to true crime, waited to see what happened and here we are, exploiting a childs abduction for views. What a 360 you have done. I can't see any non exploitative reason to cover this story. If it's TRUE then the police know all this anyway so there is no benefit to Cleo. If it's not true, it's a really, really horrendous thing to do to a family that have already been through so much. I've posted similar on your Facebook group. I'll wait to see what happens but I'm probably going to unsubscribe from this point. I know you've said before that the odd subscriber makes no difference, but I do think you really need to think about the content you're putting out around true crime. Josh I'd really appreciate a reply on this- What is this video for and how do you defend against accusations of exploiting this little girl? This video is about something awful that happened to HER- how does this video benefit HER if the police are already aware of this?

Josh is a mysoginist, let's just be clear about that. The way he speaks about women, the way he treats his wife....it's just gross. The final straw for me was hearing him say that any woman who does OnlyFans is a terrible mother full stop.
He's a creep and I don't feel bad saying that. At all. I implore any woman (or man for that matter) to actually watch a few of his podcasts and really listen to how he speaks about women, and often, how he speaks about their children. He wants to come off as this guy who is podcasting to stop the exploitation of children when, in reality, he is only perpetuating that himself when he uses them as fodder for his videos.
I wouldnt have such a problem with DCP if he didnt try starting his channel off by being a family vlogger himself and he wasnt getting any click and views so he found his niche by doing this. If he had gotten the views from vlogging, he would still be doing the very same content that he is so against today.

I had never heard of you(Not Another Housewife referred you). I subscribed.
I started watching DCP with the Stauffer fiasco. And I liked his videos. I even watched his "why I'm not a pastor anymore" series because I've been in organised religion, and because of people's actions outside of the church while performing in church as the most religious ever drove me away from church completely.
Even his snarking videos were funny up to a point until it became more about the appearances rather than the actions. I was even okay with the house tours snark, because they can afford those houses by exploiting their children.
But I haven't watched him in a few weeks by now. Because it's live after live of the Gabby thing, long-winded conversations with lots of opinions with very little information. Because let's face it, we really don't know anything yet. And I don't know why he's doing it. I get it, we're all involved in finding out what happened, but it would be just as off-brand as him doing a make-up tutorial.
In the beginning I loved his "subscribe or don't, you are my therapy" and these days it's "please go follow me on Instagram, you help my voice grow" and having ways of people to donate and having merch available, all the while throwing offhand comments of "this isn't my income, I get paid a lot at my real job" just to make sure people know that RUclips is not his job. It just doesn't seem as altruistic any more.

Wow! You are spot on. I use to really enjoy watching Josh. I too come from a large Christian church. I was able to relate to Josh when he would speak about the church. I always get children were being used for followers and to make money. When josh came along I was so happy to hear someone speak up for the kids. Unfortunately he has gone down a different road and seems so negative now. He feels very confident in what he says is right and he knows everything and we know nothing. I hope he turns his channel back around, a lot of people supported that!

I’ve watched Josh since he started talking about Myka. His snark can definitely go too far and he has made missteps. Something I appreciate about him is he does take criticism and has adjusted his approach and taken down videos.
Recently his constant anti sexworker talk has been really obnoxious and put me off. He definitely has some misogynistic takes but overall I think is a good person doing what he perceives to be right. And overall I appreciate his efforts as he has convinced some vloggers to take down their kids
I disagree about him chasing views and money. Josh has a full time job outside of RUclips and has made it very clear he doesn’t need or really care about the money.
I believe he talks about what he is passionate about.
Including the Gabbie situation. I don’t think he was hopping on views, same as I don’t think he was for the Myka story.
I don’t believe it that he doesn’t care about the money. He said it had help pay for his wife nursing school and now looking into private school for his kids. He’s doing sponsorship, promote his merch, patreons, donations “buy me coffee”, superchats….he’s in it for the money 💰

Wow im really happy I found your video, I unfollowed the dad challenge podcast because SO many of his comments are misogynistic. Like he thinks he is so free from his religious views but he isnt at all. When he was talking about an ex adult entertainer he put so much focus on how hard her kids life will be. I am an adult entertainer and a single mother. I do only solo work and sell it online. BUT it has never once come up in my daughters personal life, most people in my own life dont know what I do for a living why would my childs friends? My content is all password protected and under an alias, for him to shit on women like me and make us out to be bad selfish mothers who dont care about our childrens mental wellbeing was so hurtful. I dont agree with the things the adult entertainer he was speaking about has done, but simply because I dont condone animal abuse, not at all because she chose to work in that field.
I tried to watch the dad podcast. I did watch it for a while and then I left when he started bashing literally everything about people. That's insane. Judge someone's character not their looks. Damn

I adore CC Suarez and she turned me onto Josh. I kind of liked a few episodes but when he got to the Mormon bashing episodes I tuned out.
I am a member of the LDS church and yes I know many think we are a “cult” and while I think anyone can have an opinion I don’t enjoy just crapping on a religion just because.

It's hard to call out exploitation without showing anyone what you're calling out. He does try to always blur kids' faces and often doesn't even use their names, if it is avoidable. If you know a way around that, I'm sure he's open to the suggestion.
As for how he talks about the moms...maybe he takes it a little far sometimes, and he has backtracked on some things. But people who exploit their children for money only deserve so much civility. You're abusing your children. Not my problem if someone mocks you or calls you names. You brought it on yourself. He might or might not shame them into stopping (it has worked on some of them), but moreso, it shows non-vloggers, the fans or potential fans, how shameful they are.
I don't know why he started True Crime now, but one has to start somewhere. If he had latched onto any other case, would that also be problematic? He has since covered several other cases, because he has discovered a new passion. Yay him. I think it's coincidental timing.

I used to watch his content on Myka Stauffer in the beginning because he seemed passionate and had personal ties to adoption so he was knowledgable, but he milked it for so long even after Huxley was out of their care and what needed to be said had already been said. He started to give me weird vibes and made way too many videos about it
Oh my gosh I thought I was the only one! I love CC Suarez and Jordan and McKay and respect their channels, so knowing they really like Josh, I wanted to like him too, but I just can’t get behind him. I don’t think he’s a bad guy or even super disingenuous, but he’s definitely starting to drink too much of his own koolaid. The things he rags on these (yes, often crappy) vlogs for used to be warranted, but how it’s just petty, mean girl stuff. I’d much prefer he make fewer videos with higher quality snark/call outs. He’s doing a disservice to his name.
Also, I get everyone grabbing on to the Petito story, and he even says he’s not a true crime channel a few times, but his excessive Lives about the case are extremely cringe. Jordan and McKay went over the story, but I appreciated their perspective as Jordan has a personal, tragic experience with a close friend being missing and murdered and they are from/have knowledge of that area. And even after their last video they said they wouldn’t be doing anymore videos until Brian was found. They kept it tasteful and informative.
Long post, but in the end he just kind of gives me weird Alex Jones vibes that just turn me off. He has a place online, and I think can be really beneficial to the community, but I hope he starts to check himself a little. I do think he means well
What about what CC said in her last video where you said that if you are in debt its your own fault and its because you made bad choices. Lots of people in the comment section called her out but I think she started deleting them. SO many people in the US experience medical emergencies beyond their control or health conditions beyond their control and then go into debt to afford their medical bills. How is that ones own fault? She is privileged and out of touch. I unsubbed after that video.
Idk, I binged some of her videos and she can be just as mean. I think she takes things too far and is really living up to the “mean girl” stereotype of the anti-MLM community. I also find it weird how she’s doing “how to grow your RUclips channel” and I completely see her doing paid workshops in the future without any degree to back up her teachings. She, like Josh, are doing more to hurt the message than teach.
I saw her say things about appearances, education, intelligence and she comes off as insincere in a lot of what she says. I was enjoying her content, and she has an extremely likeable quality to her, but there’s a few things that are off. It kinda makes me believe Kimber and the other girl about SOME of what they said regarding the community. They are awful too, but it doesn’t make me discount absolutely everything.
I also really enjoyed his pastor content, and I agree with him that children should not be the content of videos I’m a little bit more open when they are just there like if someone has a cooking or decorating channel or something and they appear to sneak a cookie or if someone cooks for a child’s birthday and you see some pictures from the party. But he is so hateful and specially towards women and everyone who doesn’t agree with him.
I wanted to like Josh, I really tried, but yeah - boring and mean. I just *can't* with him.

I watched some of his videos when youtube first suggested his videos to me.After watching some of the videos and leaving comments he blocked me.I am really concerned about the bullying tactics he uses and the mental health of the people he bullies.I'm happy I'm not the only one that noticed
Yeah, like so many others, I subscribed for like 2 weeks during stauffer gate and then very quickly had enough. I genuinely just don't trust him.
It’s good you picked up on something being off so quickly! I think as an audience we all have to be careful about how much stock we put into someone who gains a lot of traction for a singular topic, rapid growth can lead to a whole lot of trouble.
