Wait, have you never heard of Dreamcatcher before this?!? They have a really unique blend of Metal and K-pop that is rough to find anywhere else.
Dreamcatcher are very unique. They are the dark angels of Kpop and the only girl group who consistently incorporate Rock and Metal in their title tracks, fusing that with Kpop into something that basically is a new genre. They also are drenched in horror and social criticism, which again is special. Plus, they are massively talented, all of them. And while the girls look like they could rip your spine out when they are on stage, off stage they are adorable crackheads. 😉
This is not the MV for You and I, it was a special performance for the Dingo channel. You and I is part of the Nightmare series, which spans 6 MVs. I'd recommend reacting to Deja Vu!

This is an early version of the relay dances they do. They didn't dance in this one but as the time went by they added the choreo from the MV in a compressed form that would fit in the frame, but didn't take it seriously and just had fun with the song. The most notorious one is a cover of Brown Eyed Girls song Abracadabra ruclips.net/video/S0-AJT9IPcY/видео.html They don't sing in that one, but it's pure joy to watch them play.
You didn't miss this. I thought I remember seeing this before and it was posted back in Aug 2021. I had to go back and check to see if you reacted to the same song twice but it's the same stream clip.

Market as well as the girls are just really honest they even talk about having to give out extra energy in idol shows and interview to carry the mood of the show and when they go home for company vacation they are actually the most chilled ones in their families and such its on Jiu and Sua Vlive, they came from a smaller company so the staff aren't very strict with them with this "idol image" so they tends to just be very casual with the fandom they talk alot about watching kpop reactions and their fanmade videos on youtube they themselves would sometimes react to it.
They are a very honest,loud,chaotic,dorky and hilarious group in general
Watch their live performance JUMF 2017...you will be amazed with their energy and stability of their vocal and dance... They are much more a full package in everything....i am just extremely impressed when i first attended their concert.

My girls. Because of their rock infused KPop they are under rated and under appreciated in the KPop world. Dreamcatcher is unique and outside the norm for girl group sound. They are 7 vocalist,7 visuals,7 dancers, 7 rappers. Siyeon, the main singer is in my opinion one of the best in KPop. JiU and Yoohyeon are the lead and Yoohyeon May as well the the second main. SuA is a vocalist and a rapper that may as well be another lead vocalist.. she has the highest range of all the members. Dami, the main rapper has the second highest range. Handong is an under rated vocalist. Gahyeon is a vocalist and a rapper. They are all talented and extremely versatile/diverse in the tones and the genres/styles they can sing. Their covers and b-sides show this. They have done performances with live bands and that is when they sound their best. Esquire has performances of Boca, Odd Eye and BEcause. Dingo has a few different Dreamcatcher stuff.
Mamamoo and Dreamcatcher are my Vocal Queens because everyone in those groups can do everything.

People usually don't see the times when the hard work was put in. The best musicians have that period in their careers when they perform wherever anyone will give them space to do so. Few people see them as they pay their dues. Dreamcatcher is like that. Five of them were a group called Minx that failed to catch the public eye. They sang and danced in malls, small sleazy dance halls, playing fields, racetracks and even in open spaces beside the Han River. After two years they disbanded Minx, radically changed their concept and music, added two members and debuted as Dreamcatcher. They'd done the work and been welded together by misfortune. What you see in their performances is the sum total of all that. Of course they're also people that were born to perform and ended up doing exactly that.

There are excellent singers in DC like Siyeon, Yoohyeon (the one whose voice you love) and Sua. I even heard DC is used as a calibration standard for Autotune, don’t know if it’s true :) Professionals on stage and nutcases off-stage. Really funny group I’ve totally hooked on. Listen Deja Vu, Scream, Boca, Odd Eye for starters. Please do some reactions!
Great point about the intense training. That's something almost universal in Kpop that you just don't really see elsewhere.

One of your commenters (Becca?) said "a lot of groups get to choose their own teammates", and I'd definitely question that. I think the companies try a lot of trainees in combination with each other before they pick a debuting group, but the trainees themselves, as far as I'm aware, don't get a lot of say in the final lineup. In fact the only group _I_ know of where that happened is Stray Kids, where leader Bang Chan, who'd been a trainee for about six years, was asked by JYP to assemble his own team.
Dreamcatcher didn't assemble themselves either, but the other part of the comment was dead right; leader JiU and main vocal Siyeon have been friends for over ten years now, and roommates for at least most of that time. Five of them formed a group called MinX for a couple of years, and after that project folded, Handong and Gahyeon were added to the team to form Dreamcatcher. All seven of the girls have an adorable bond; they're not just colleagues, but best friends and even sisters, and they show us that all the time. This video here very much _is_ just them hanging with their friends at karaoke... it just happens to be their job too. 😜
Interesting commentary on the vertical format, and 'casual' nature of this recording. Dreamcatcher are actually pretty well known for self directed videos for their songs featuring this sort of playful, silly interaction. Korean music shows seem to either skew towards really showcasing great live performances, or absolutely producing the hell out of stuff to the point of making singers lipsync to a new pre-recorded performance of the song.
I love this live version of You and I. What's great is the vocals are live and are truly great. The girls do Vapp and obviously sell themselves when they are not singing. Insomnia love it and they are truly cool girls.
