Sandy ground is obviously the worst thing to build on....but, no matter what the cliff face is actually made of, just ask yourself this: "how are cliffs formed?". Then ask yourself if you *really* think it's a good idea building on one.
Thank You for Your great footage/video ! What NO ONE mentions ever is that almost all of the Bluffs and Cliffs along California's Coast, North and South will continue to fall. The Main Reason is the Constant Pounding of the Surf/Waves , Constant Pounding 24 / 7 ever minute of every day. Which acts like millions of earthquakes per year, LOOSENING the sandy soil from the edges of the Bluffs/Cliffs all the way up the hillsides. eventually the soil is semi liquified like in any earthquake and gets so loose the bluff simply crumbles. Nothing can be done to prevent the soil loosening over time due to constant pounding. covering the soil really won't mitigate the soil loosening, it's not really "erosion".
Envy harms you more than it harms them. It is pathetic to feel no human sympathy for people simply because they have more material possessions than you.
@@ARandomDonut I have no idea what a "half joke" is. I am completely calm and it is obvious that your words were motivated by envy. My comment was to try to make you think about your pathetic reaction to the plight of the owners of that house.
I did not have to be a geologist to know the cliffs are not stable.

You got the view you wanted, the cliff and the ocean.

Plus all the dams that curtail the replenishment of the beaches with sand.
Who would insure any of these houses?
So you build your gazillion dollar home on the edge of a sand cliff. Money really does buy hubris.
Oh you poor rich souls. let me get out my tiny violin

@@ARandomDonut a "joke" implies humor. None of what you said was humorous. Imagine that happened to your house. Calm down lol.
@@AlahuSnackbar humor is subjective lol
Who would build their house on sand?
The ones on the video
Someone who hadn't read the Bible
How could they issue permits to even allow people to build there even if they wanted to, just an accident waiting to happen?
Everyone in Florida :)
I can just visualize the A frame on the rocks below.
It's pretty obvious you shouldn't have built your houses there. My house? On flat land. Never have to think about slope issues.
That's unfortunate and also very scary. Im at least glad the whole cliff didnt collapse with people. It would be tragic. Be safe.
why is the sound track so sad lol. was there people in the house?
Hi! New subscriber and I hope you upload soon. Gorgeous footage!☮️
Whatever happened to the beach house?
You don't need to feel sorry for them. Your insurance payments will help subsidize their payouts.
Whats the idea for the plastic
....are they going to try to save the pieces to build a new home
Wow, I've never understood why people think they will beat God and nature!
A natureza aplicando a sua lei
you have "all that' and that's all the plastic you think you need? . it's insured and a write-off so - disposable but fun while it lasted .
The architects told them to trust the science.
don't build houses on the sides of big piles of dirt... woulda thought that was obvious.
See those rocks. They are from the riverbed that they rerouted and built over..
The water will gush out of those mountains and the river will return
Absolute idiots allowing to build there, i believe in the 2 -3 rule where if the cliff is 30m high you must be 20m from the edge
Should FEMA be supporting these home owners?
Wow. Whoever built that house there was just begging for trouble. It might not actually be real though.
The foolish man build his house upon the sand , and the walls came ah tumbling down 😮
What mor*n put RR tracks that close to the ocean? Oh, right, it'a CA. Someone got rich.
Unlike the homes, it looks like the RR tracks have a solid foundation.
there are times, when it's good to be poor....or at least smart enough not to build on cliffs created by landslides to begin with
