Great spec Andy and congratulations to the new owners. Those 2 inch straps are the only thing that needs improvement. Maybe Shift could come up with something custom.
@@AndyTheKenworthGuy We ended up getting a 389 Pete with 605 Cummins and 18 sp Endurant XD Pro for the farm. Got it this spring. Pull a set of super B grain trailers with it. Hauled about 100 loads in July. Smooth as silk, urge to move is awesome. Truck is performing better than we had even hoped.
only difference between tha this and tha 680 is tha steer tires and front axel weight and high clearance front bumper. noot too impressed. i used to really like kws but mannn they fell off with everything cept that 900
mannn whats rookie about not damaging ur equipment??? i got mirrors on mine. i sit so low i cant see em bur if lean up and if im making a tight bac i kno im not gon rip off my fender or damage a steer. how many of you supper truccers got ya fromt ends all banged up cuz your too cool for hood mirrors
Doing pretty good until.... You showed the hamster motor... Drive trucks with the Paccar engine and not impressed. Cummins not perfect but a much better engine
The PACCAR motor makes fine power. What’s more important is downtime. The PACCAR motor is definitely more reliable. Been pulling super-B’s with one for a while now. Gets the job done. Fuel economy is better than the Cummins too. Not sure why everyone is hating on the PACCAR. The person that spec’d this truck out is looking down the road for a hassle-free economical ride. Smart in my book.
@@ianswitzer2915 well in all honesty if it's doing the job withv v ery little trouble and good fuel mileage that's what it's all about. Every engine seems to have problems when they first come out... As a driver a new x15 Cummins walks all over them and the power curve is more even and nicer to drive
@@jim-zx7gz, , I agree that Cummins knows how to make power. After having driven a 475 c15 cat powered peterbilt for a long time, I hopped behind the wheel of an ISX powered T800 (2006). Wholly crap did that same rated horsepower Cummins out pull the Cat. Not just by a little bit, but by a lot! It also had the strongest engine brake I’ve ever driven. Sadly, I’m under 20,000hrs that motor needed a complete rebuild. It started knocking. It had destroyed a bearing. It also seemed to have endless EGR issues. But a heck of a strong motor. The current PAACAR feels like the old 2000 c15 Cat.
Nothing beats a Kenworth ❤
You bet!
Looking good with the wide base tires on the steer
Great videos Andy! You mentioned a storm coming in, 96mm of rain in Ottawa within 3hrs!
Keep up the great work!
Love the crazy summer storms!
Great video Andy, Truck looks nice in white with the mirror polished wheels, short wheel base is handy for farm work.
Thanks 👍
Hermoso camión!
Excelente video!
Saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷
Always a great video Andy. I'm not a fan of the Def tank on the passenger side. Most truckstops have the Def pump on the drivers side.
For over the road yes, in a farm, you can put the def tote anywhere and fill easily. Good point you have though

Good point. Maybe on the next build!
Would be a good truck in heavy traffic like in Toronto good view out the windshield
Nice to see some physical guages up on the dash finally 😅
10-4
Nice basic truck most time they are better then the heavily spec truck with a lot of options.
thanks for watching!
Well it definitely looks like a farm truck.
Looks good Andy especially without those awful mirrors on the hood just saying ha
It T880 good for long haul or just local and regional???
Is it
Stubby I nicknamed it 👍🏽
Nice!
Great content! Have you sold many trucks with Cummins X15 and 18 speed Endurant XD Pro transmissions? Just wondering on feedback?
nothing with the 18 XD yet. lots of discussion. Still on allocation so kinda tough
