Thanks for having the patience to film these lol. This video is the best ATSF compilation on RUclips. It would be cool if you got someone to remaster the footage.
Seeing those Conrail and Santa Fe trailers on the piggyback trains really shows how it was back then! Appears that Alliance Shippers’ logo is still virtually the same!
Bring back the Santa Fe! BNSF if you are listening, at least bring out your own heritage fleet of locomotives that includes the Santa Fe. Just like Union Pacific with its "CNW" and "Southern Pacific" heritage units and Norfolk Southern with its "New York Central" and "Pennsylvania Railroad" heritage units!
No railroad proudly carried itself better through ads and the billboard than the Santa Fe. Even toward the end of its existence when Day One of BNSF came, the Santa Fe still had "Super Shock Control" on much of its fleet of boxcars as a way to advertise to the shippers.
I got a question. I know at 0:46 was the southwest chief, after the merger the chief switched to the Burlington Northern at cameron on a connector, do you have any footage of a train ride on the chief through that area? From Mason Kalnins
@@fmnut Okay. Well, great video, brings back memories and I'm a fan of your videos from the 80's and early 90's. They bring back lots of memories. Thanks again, fmnut. From Mason Kalnins

Great video- thanks for the panoramas. There is only one Santa Fe and it does not start with a B!
Yeah and BNSF doesn't run coal trains over the old Santa Fe like the Santa Fe used to do over its Transcon.
I like the bridge scene, crossing over the river, at the end of this video.
Long live Santa Fe 😍. Love trains.
There's the Santa Fe,then all the rest in my book.
Santa Fe,all the way!

Excellent video!
What happened to the bridge over Belen yard?
Personally I prefer ATSF to BNSF.
7:37 Isn't this at Belen NM?
6:25 to 11:39 is all at Belen, as indicated by the sign at the beginning of the sequence.
