    Thirty-five years ago I worked in retail for Radio Shack. They had a spiff (a small bonus for selling a old clearance item). I loved those! If the store was still around today, you could make some really good money selling their clearance items and the sales person would love it!

      For those of us brand new to not just arbitrage but also to retail in general, can you do something going over all the lingo? i.e., Q4, bottleneck, sustainability & scaling (what it means & why it's important) and maybe there already is that video out there...I've watched a lot of you tube videos and many I've subscribed to bcz they have knowledge and expertise. But there is something special abt you and your wife. Two real people who understand the struggle or haven't forgotten anyway and genuinely youtubing to help not to always profit. Seems as though many give good info but leave out little details that can honestly make a difference and set ourselves apart. I tend to sometimes focus too much on the details enough to where it deters me from getting where I need to be. I realize I need to trust the process more at times. But everyone learns differently. If there were more videos out there that can keep in mind the diversity of how people learn and interpret and maybe break things down a little more, I believe we'd see many more success stories. I know a lot of people are just plain lazy and expect to be spoon fed every little thing and as a you tuber I'm sure you have to pick and choose what to include and exclude. But over time as I've been trying to learn from others and have joined many many paid and free webinars and courses, I've found I get stuck on what seems like a small thing but ends up being pretty important to understand at some point...so I'll comb through comments and question's hoping someone else asked the same question and actually got a response. Very rarely do we get a response! Prob bcz it's a question that can be answered through a little site searching on our own...but when it comes down to making a decision as to whether or not I should buy a membership or upgrade something or even purchase a product to resell and make a profit, if we're not understanding some of the key terms etc and can't pick up a phone and talk to an actual person, it makes sense to me why many people hit that hump and end up giving up. So many times I've been working towards something or on something going step by step and the only way I can get an answer to a question is through email waiting an hour or way longer...with response including lingo that makes no sense or it's unclear and things are even more uncertain. I think there's a huge flaw with this concerning online marketing and it's success rate. Maybe I'm unrealistic and asking for too much and maybe this is an idea for myself to take and make possible for when I get brave enough to start a channel idk 🤓 but I'd like to learn and understand fully the basics before I start making big moves and purchases. People similar to you are trustworthy and if they see you actually taking the time to explain everything you're building credibility and will prob end up being the guru of the industry. Success comes in many forms. Thank you for reading my novel. I'm a talker.

    I prefer the small group or 1:1 conversations. I don’t like large groups. My start is usually the issue. If they seem great grumpy about my purchase I’ll just bypass and ask about them and their day but if they’re really asking and interested I share freely. I’ve also done the coffees. Guess donuts are next lol.

    My suggestion for your next video would be just a tag along video where you go out and scan your items. Exactly what you take with you and how to use the tools to decide on the spot if it’s a buy or not, what you do before you go (coupons, checking sales papers) and how you bring it all together to ship off. Not sure if you’ve done this type of video as I have not watched all of them yet but this would be good to see in real-time.

    Another awesome video! I haven’t had the nerve to talk to store managers but hopefully soon!
    As a newbie, I’d like to hear your thoughts on clearance vs full price items when sourcing. It seems overwhelming to scan the store to find items! Also, what do you try to stay above for ROI on full price items? (Some of my clearance finds are 100-300% ROI sometimes so I feel like I am super picky when it comes to what I buy to send in!) Clearance has worked well for me thus far but I have started scanning more full priced items lately that I know I’m not gated in. Nothing with great profit yet so I would like to hear your thoughts on this!

    There is a lot of items that Amazon doesn’t allow you to sell. You have to be approved by the Wholeseller. So when you scan a product and you think it will be profitable, you have to go into your account to see if you can actually sell it. I haven’t seen one video that has told us that?

    • @HustleBuddiesOfficial
      @HustleBuddiesOfficial  4 года назад

      We've talked about that a number of times.

    Very good advice! There is no need to be shy when sourcing, although I know this is an issue for many people. I am at the point where there are stores I go into and literally walk straight to the back, grab the dolly and start moving the goods because they know what I want and they text me when it arrives. I even get introduced to vendors from store employees. The biggest thing when it comes to arbitrage is to just DO IT! From there, everything that needs to happen will, eventually. I used to feel strange and then I learned that no one really cares what you are doing. They are busy with their own business. Think about it...when you're scanning you are standing in a store isle looking down at your phone. Nowadays, does that look in any way unusual? LOL!

      This is an awesome comment! I'm so new to this it's prob obvious with my comments and question's. But your comment made me laugh when you said people don't really pay attention..I think most people are pretty uneducated abt retail arbitrage. But every time I mean every single time I'm at a Walmart scanning things, customers come up to me and ask me if I can help them in some way lol...the first time it happened I looked at the person like "are you effin serious do I look like a Walmart employee seriously never say that again" lol! I only was thinking that but offended! When I told the customer I'm not an employee that I had a store they laughed and apologized and said they thought maybe I was corporate management checking on some things... Made me feel better but opened my eyes as to how literal and somewhat self-absorbed into our own little worlds we are living! Everyday people just want their days to go as quickly and as smoothly as possible with as much productivity as possible. If we can help them, they're more than willing to help us and let us go abt our business without having to go tattle to the RA police! "Ain't no one got time for that" ...usually
