I'm an open-minded Believer in the Most High. Some people think figuring out the earth's form/shape IS a salvation issue for some only because many people have come to faith because of being convinced that the earth is flat. I think that's silly logic. What about the people who are saved through researching and concluding the earth is a globe? I would assume there's at least one person... We will learn what we need to learn and hopefully we'll be sensitive to the promptings of Holy Spirit. I don't worry about it. I'm not ready to come to a definitive conclusion.
There is no where in Scripture that associates conversion to a new creature involving the shape of the Earth so any assertion tying one to the other is biblically false. There are many false converts. Which is why a Christian’s final authority must be Scripture.

Agreed. To be clear, the assertion is not that you have to know or believe one way or the other to be saved, but that knowing can help someone arrive at salvation, which is not practical because that means we all should feel the pressure to dig deeper into every last thing and have a conclusion just in case it *could* be a factor that leads to someone's salvation. In other words, I think it should he pursued if one is convicted, but not just because. There's only so much time and energy.
