In my opinion, people are as stupid, gullible or smart as they ever were, not more or less. However, we created in our minds an expectation that, just because the internet exists and we have all the information at our disposal, that the masses will use it to educate themselves on crucial topics, and that all the uneducated 500 years ago solely lacked such accessible information to be better. This is, evidently, far from the truth.
People are preoccupied with their immediate surroundings and the topics that cause an emotional response into them. Nearly nobody will actively pursue the truth especially if faced again and again with concepts that require a few hours, days or years of education to properly understand, before one can proceed with whatever they were inquiring in the first place. Combine that with some uncomfortable truths along the way, and you got a recipe for natural avoidance.
The masses are better informed and more educated than ever before in human history, but we have set the bar so high, solely because the internet exists for a few decades, allthewhile ignoring human nature, that we unfairly see our times as a regression. We only see more prominently our negative sides because those usually make for more interesting stories and our system enables some bad actors to profit from misinformation. Nevertheless, I believe that we are better than 500 years ago, if we do not cherry pick.
That said, I think that our educational system, globally, needs a complete overhaul. Children need to spend more time in schools, but schools need to be also far more than rigidly structured 45min classes. Schools have to become intellectual community centers with all kinds of educational activities and lots of time for them too, integrating communities and the local socio-economic structures. From the arts, over STEM to physical education. Its alright if a kid fails at a few certain subjects, but at the end, everybody needs to be taught basic critical thinking and the tools needed to enjoy their inherent talents and interests.
Moreover, optional and well paid internships need to start sooner, and at the same time we need to prolonge to what year we have mandatory education.
This way, we can start gaining industry-relevant experience sooner, but are also able to enter the workforce and the risks accompanied with it later, with more life experience and education.
Of course, our economical system also needs to change to accommodate that change in the workforce.

I love the extra math and biology info. Have no idea myself in regards to higher end math/physics.
But! I would like to ask as a total curiosity, would it be plausible that density of energy in a region of space/time. Held nearby a moveable region of space/time of relative density. That the space/time between the two regions would act like a seperate region and allow back and forth transfer of the overflow energy states by making a casimir effect. So in a roundabout way. If this was made to have a dynamo in the external regions, and the inbetween region becomes some form of echo chamber for a new energy formation. Casimir effect functions happening at the incredibly small planck lengths and frequency/wavelengths of the incredibly small. But could we expand the inbetween region while keeping it capable of creating a casimir effect but on larger scales? This would be a quantum system that performs on several space/time scales in a way that can have comparatively high output to input. Low waste/loss. But with a source of energy from dynamo breakdown and energy loss, feeding the environment centrally with enough negative energy or pressure that it stays formatted in a way similar to extra dimensional at low physical energy cost to sustain that field/style of environment.
Totally new age physics idea and i might be a fruitloop, i also have no idea how to properly describe it, but i feel like it's worth describing that any space time can be infinitely big or small and asking if we could make an environment where we could hold a contained extra dimensional item at least cost energy wise, (wether it's corroded materials or energy used for cooling and magnets) but greatest effect. Controllable scale etc...

Also how you described your videos is perfect. When reviewing for exams or tests I would watch a video of yours on the topic, and then go through my professors slideshow and it helped me a lot. I’d get the succinct but still sufficient representation of it and then all those main points the details filled in. Extremely helpful, especially since your videos aren’t like 45 minute long lectures but I basically get that much value from them, as long as it’s not completely alone. (If that makes sense lol)

On the topic of profundity, and attributing meaning in only things that might be divine: I understand this a lot better than most people might. There is some feeling of helplessness there, a sentiment that humanity is, overall, not worth the privilege of dictating our own fate. We must be granted our value by a higher power to have any at all.
At least, that's what is implicitly taught in a religious house. That is what is implicitly preached in a religious town. For Christians to give God value, we must strip the value from ourselves. We would call this abusive and manipulative if another human brought us low so that they could stand above us, but because we instead attribute it to God, who is (according to Christians) infallable, unknowable, and eternal, we accept it as a fact without examination... mostly.
I did examine this, as I got older, and began to question my faith. I had a period where losing my faith was distressing to the point of physical sickness. I spent a small amount of time believing that nothing had value at all, and I will admit that my mind wandered to dark places. I adopted attitudes of nihilism and misanthropy, despising mankind for contriving a lie to hide the uncomfortable truth that existence is meaningless.
And then I realized that this mindset is toxic.
Everything has value, especially ourselves, in spite of our culture's best efforts to strip that away from us. We do not need to recieve our worth from a deity, nor must we bestow it on ourselves. We have inherent value, and the right to derive our own meaning from life, as sentient creatures.
The irony is that I actually do believe in God. I have heard God speak to me exactly once. That exchange answered no questions for me, but did make something clear: My existence is inconsequential to a God, and a God's opinion of me is inconsequential to me as well. They will go about their existence, and I will continue my life. And nothing about the existence of a God affects my value as a person.

The interesting thing to me about science and religion is the way labels impact or relation to them.
If you were to ask a scientist if monsters exist, their proclivities would conjugator up images of Godzilla and King Kong along with vampires and werewolves that they would then dismiss. So you ask them what are some attributes of a monster and they would say they have big teeth, and claws, can see in the dark and are exceptionally strong.
And then you wonder at what point a bear, with sharp teeth and claws and exceptional Strank with the ability to smell you from miles away stop becoming a monster simply because we categorized it so neatly as a mammal.
What does it matter if you call it up there or a monster, it is still the same thing that will eat you in the dark. And the same thing can be said about your subconscious which is literally a different consciousness that you share your body with it only lets you borrow the wheel of the body at times, and it temps you and bubbles up ideas and thoughts and emotions. And you can call it a ego or a devil and it will change the way you think of it but it is functionally the same thing that you experience. In the wisdom of how Religions tell you to battle that do not change if you call it a devil or an ego. And if you say it your subconscious does not give you any additional control over it and if it was a different entity. Nothing changes but how do you think about it.

It's beautiful that we all have our own beliefs and ways to live our lives. Anyone that would be against that is a true asshole with really bad hangups that need to be worked out. They said that I was free to explore religion, and even allowed me to go to church with my neighbors. None of that stuff ever made any sense to me. Sure, everyone at church and my friends said it was real. But my parents sat me down and explained what religion was and why people believe it. God never made sense to me, still doesn't. The issue with New Age spiritualism is that they make claims about the natural world on the backbone of faith. It’s not just Leo, or Jordan from Spirit Science, Universe Inside You creates videos claiming western medicine is a lie and curing yourself with vibrational waves is the true pathway to happiness.
Honestly, some secular people have said in the past that New Age Spiritualism isn’t as bad as traditional belief systems, but I seriously disagree, it can be just as harmful if not more so. Look at how Karlyn Borysenko tried to justify what happened to Germany’s people in the 1940s. She just claimed their Souls wanted them to experience and end like that so it was a *good thing* because their souls ordained it. I’ve seen tons of New Agers make this argument to justify pain and suffering. You can use a LOT of that Spirit World logic to justify terrible actions into good things. You would be shocked how many of them interpret suffering like that. In their logic starving kids in Africa deserve what they’re going through because their Soul ‘chose’ that experience, and all they’ll claim is they should meditate more to ‘transcend’ their karmic desire for the samsaric attraction to that kind of suffering. This ain’t too far from from Westboro Baptist Church IMHO…
But it’s dangerous because it constantly challenges scientific truths we know about the world and insists on contesting with the information that has evidence. But it is harmful, it denies modern medicine, morality and human compassion for others, and often times it justifies atrocities.

Huge fan of your work! professor dave I was referencing your channel in a flat earth live YT stream and all the people in the chat were freaking out lol they are hard to convince unless they see things. the breakdown of rationality is alarming but has been going on in a large segment of the population since the dawn of time. I will give a brief testimony of spirituality is that a couple days ago i developed insomia and it wouldnt go away and i prayed fast and repetitive from the heart to jesus rebuking a spirit (I wasnt sure if it was a spirit causing the insomnia it could have been just natural brain chemistry) but after a minute and a half of "prayer" there was a shift in my head where I felt the insomia clearing up it was like a "fog" clearing up really fast and I immediately went to sleep and upon waking up I went to my roommate and I asked him if he could tell a difference and he said I had a noticeable level of energy compared to the last time I talked to him. I feel amazing and back to normal but I'm telling you that the belief in spirituality will never go away even if all religion is removed because there are spirits that give people headaches, insomnia, dreams. and these demons are getting cast out of people in religious ceremonies which can be found on YT. im not trying to have a conversation or anything as its very hard to track spirituality in nature other than peoples experiences (im about to start making videos tracking patterns in history that might help get a better insight on this) but im giving you some information. love the work you do!
