- Join me as i learn what is involved when building the right suspension for your project car or truck. This is an update for my 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne C10 project, my first restoration, I am learning everything as an absolute beginner and in this video we do a wheel mockup to give me an idea of the stance and look i want for my pick up. Helping me with my build is PJ Burchett from Strip Technologies and B Rod and Custom hot rod shop.

Great video! It's great to see you learning and getting dirty and I respect how you're the first to admit what you don't know. You guys make a great team.
Thank you! Welcome to my channel glad you liked the video more to come!
Looks like its coming along nicely!
Here hoping 🤞!
My first time looking at your RUclips video .hope the best in your build & i believe you will do fine. you stay focused & keep asking questions when you need to ...once your done i hope you do your RUclips videos showing us the final build ..thsnks
Welcome Davey! I plan to show you guys every step of the journey because this is so new to me and very exciting. I will be vlogging as I learn to inspire others that want to get started from the ground up, I hope you enjoy the other videos in the meantime.
I've not read all of the comments but, after seeing the artist rendering of how you want to build your truck (which is really cool), I'll give ya a little advise. If you build yours that low, you need to look into bags! If you build it that low with coil overs, you wont be able to drive it on the street (bumps, speed humps and etc...) at that ride height. Good luck! Jim
Thank you Jimmy, I appreciate your advice and by the look of the rendering it appears it needs to be bagged but we are in the process of doing another rendering, where it won’t sit so low. Stay tuned!
Looking good so far, this man knows his stuff for sure, but having that 2" rake will just make the truck look super kewl, and I also would would change to the newer Independent Front suspension for sure! Truck would be new style while looking great old school too!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing like a lovely young lady getting down and dirty and helping do the restoration! Very rare today for sure!!!!!!!🥰✌🌹🌹🌹
Thanks Mike, most likely we will be having independent front suspension, once we have the rear end figured out! There’s a lot to learn but I’m loving it, thank you for the kind words and support!
Great video Rana, luv ya!
@@RanasRadar you're quite welcome young lady and both you and your family have a great Christmas holiday be safe.😃✌️👍

Good job Rana way to get into the mix and be hands on.
Thank you, I’m keen to have my hands on every part of the build, and it’ll all be here!
@@RanasRadar I look forward to seeing your project come together. This is how we all learn and grow our knowledge of cars and trucks.
The Suspension especially in the Front are you going to get a Larger Displacement Engine. If you are going to add Horse power, you'll need to beef up the brake system, usually Brembo, or WillWood.. he is right if your are going to Hot Rod it ( Lower ) for high performance. Now Lowering it means you are going to need a Shorter Drive Shaft. He is right about Aftermarket panels and might have trim them.. I would also avoid the Short Tub Rear end.
Most likely going with wildwood brakes as the horsepower will be increased nothing crazy but enough to make it a hot rod!
@@RanasRadar Good to know... note the higher the Horse Power the more larger the Rotor and Caliper Clearance, thus need larger wheels and or hub spacer to clear the spokes. 👨🏻👍🏻🏎🏎🏁🏁🚩🚩
Hi Ranas great content but you need to sort out the sound next time because it spoiled some really sound information, the care, Joe ❤
Yes I agree!
Keep going and if anyone is knocking it it's on them, all good, and bye the way, I would never trust myself with my wheel and tyre offset and would always have my local garage to work it out for me, so you are not on your own, Joe
im new to your channel and im really enjoying your journey so far looking forward to see this awesome build completed
Welcome Gary! You and me both looking forward to it!
