I have a 2019 with the 10-speed. I'm usually a manual die-hard, but the 10 speed is that good for the best acceleration numbers and putting down the power fluidly. Also w/ rear seats and can also pull over 1g in handling with exceptional stopping power and magnetic ride. There aren't too many cars that look this muscular and aggressive on the road.

I bought the 2019 ZL1 last June, and I have to agree, it is truly a beast. Mine is in the Satin Steel Grey Metallic, and as soon as I got it home I did the full paint correction and ceramic coating. I have put off doing any performance modifications on it yet since i don't want to mess with the computer to do a tune. I did add the RotoFab CAI and it changes the way you hear the supercharger whine. Absolutely love it. The Goodyear F1 Supercar tires glue it to the road in dry conditions, but I got caught in a south Louisiana downpour one afternoon, and had to drop down to 50 mph on the interstate to keep it from hydroplaning. Over all the Camaro is great, however its competitors Charger/Challenger and Mustangs. Their cable size is larger, I kind of feel claustrophobic in the Camaro.
Powerful rear wheel drive cars aren't on my buying radar they're way too fish tailing out of control dangerous, traction control helps but what really helps is a good AWD system. So my recommendation is looking at Audi first since they pretty much brought AWD to the market and racing. There are other AWD rides, just pick whatever floats your boat but from first hand experience I will NEVER buy RWD, once you go AWD you never go back. I'm ALL IN on Max Traction in any condition.
Max Facts - I'll agree from the perspective that 90% of motorists have about as much driving talent as Stevie Wonder. I've been arguing for years that any vehicle that weighs under 4,000lbs, and has more than 400hp, shouldn't even be available with an automatic transmission. It's far too easy for any idiot to get into one of these Hellcats (or ZL1s) and kill themselves or someone else because they have no experience or capability driving this type of machine. For those of us who CAN drive (I drive cars and motorcycles professionally), while I love a great AWD system, give me RWD for performance driving every time. Cheers.
@@RaitisRides After years of riding around in powerful belly dragging RWD cars I switched to AWD and loved the added the all weather traction AWD offers. Then I made the move to AWD SUVs and liked the added ground clearance, anything around 8 inches should be fine for potholes, parking without damaging the front air dam, steeply angled driveways, and a little off road fun. Depending on what your buying budget is the Audi SQ5 might be a good fun, practical, and safe ride. I'm really considering the new Ford Explorer ST w/Street Package as my next ride with its 5600 tow rating but I can't find the AWD Facts so until I do I'm not pulling the next ride trigger.
@@kingbrutusxxvi RWD is fun, YES but when the conditions get tough (weather, sand, rain, ice, and snow) powerful RWD vehicles are downright dangerous. You're a Pro so you're good to go have some tail wagging drifting fun but like you wrote 90% of motorists are not so for the most part AWD is what I would recommend. I too had lots of fun RWD powerful rides but I did spin out a few times and luckily never hit anyone. My first AWD ride was the 3 Torsen Differential Audi V8 and its been ALL AWD since then. btw: Audi DOMINATED Racing so much that they had to change the rules and ban AWD so as far as performance goes AWD kicks RWD off the track.
With the zl1 you would be surprised how well it handles its power, even when you push it on the track, the Chevrolet traction control system keeps the car in check, now if you turn everything off that's on you, im still shocked how great this car handles, considering how much it weights,.

Love the sound of the v8 muscle with the supercharger
“On throttle!” ... you don’t think we can tell 😂
It’s a bad ass car no matter which trans you pick or 1LE or not.
So very true!
Looks like a sweet ride. I’m sure it turns a lot of heads.
You better believe that!
I know that's right!!
I’ve always wanted a camarón, and the zl1 is my goal, saving up, hopefully get it soon
Still looking for the 6speed manual transmission
Ask and you shall receive! Click the link at the end of the video!
Isn’t it a 7 speed Manuel?
Well, that made my mind up! Thanks Raiti
Damn........... I'm debating on whether to trade in my 2014 Camaro SS for a 5th gen ZL1, C7 Grand Sport, or a C6 Z06........ Come next summer the prices will be crazy once the C8 hits dealerships......
I'm not knocking the ZL1 or Chevy..but that damn GT350 sounds fucking fantastic!!
The Voodoo is no joke!
Joe, great job as usual. But I’d buy a heavily discounted C7 Z06 (thanks C8!) or the C8 instead 😉.
Wow, people like you drive really fast while in Mexico.
She needed to stretch her legs.
Great review Joe. I’m sad that Camaro may be discontinued. Mustang cannot follow the same step ☹️
I totally agree!
Love the sound, but the visibility kills it for me. Love the outside as well.
that is one mean looking car.....I owned a 10 and only kept it for 6 months...view is horrible and dangerous when changing lanes in heavy traffic....can't count the times I heard horns when changing lanes, although the side mirrors look much wider and larger now. Still such a nice looking car.
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
That looks aggressive!!!
It is evil looking!
I wish I was having to make this decision. I own a Dodge Challenger. But I wish I could afford all the muscle cars. American cars are such a great value for the price. God bless you.
I totally understand where you are comig from!
Isn’t this one like 25 grand ?
Hey Joe, next time you start the car up could we actually hear it start up and not just the revs?
-Thanks!
It's tough because I like the let the car warm up.
@@RaitisRides I totally understand, but maybe you could show the startup and then transition to the part where you show the revs after the car's warmed up.
Joe , Don't know where Your Camera is mounted in this car ride But it's working... That was BAD ASS ! audio sounds Great Also.... Thanks That was FUN !!! Keep doing what your doing.. It's working !
Kenny you are the man!
09' Mustang -> 09' C6 -> Bmw -> 17' Tahoe (Bored AF) -> ZL1 ??
Will be getting mine in the star of new year
Congrats! You will love it!
Those rims are absolutely beautiful
AGREED!
I love everything about this one! Everything.
I am so glad that I could share this one with you Al!
Wow! Sound like a monster! Didn’t never looked at this car until now. It’s just like vette. Just step and go. I’m liking this ZL1. Looks like fun car to punching it. 650hp can’t go wrong. 👍💯video💯👍
Raiti's sticker mode actived whenever we head into Mexico 😂😉
LMAO!
@@RaitisRides 😂😂😂😂😂
What do you think about doing a video of top 5 favorite sports cars, truck and SUVs you've test?
That is such a great idea Justin! I will put that together!
I was thinking of comparing the Hellcat & the SRT Cherokee along with the Camaro!
He could do the video in his garage and use the footage he already has and talk about it
That engine looks like a monster
I totally agree with you Steven!
I do not like the low wing on the Camaro ZL1. I prefer the high wing from the ZL11LE or the duck bill spoiler from the SS 1LE. They would look much better on the ZL1.
AGREED!
Good review! I own a 2019 A10 as well and all you have to do is leave it in drive the transmission is always in the right gear. The honestly only trying wrong with this car is the bluetooth connects when it wants too
Yep my blue tooth is got mind of its own l
Do you think I should go for the zl1 or a wide body cat?
How do you like the A10? I’m buying a 1LE but I’m stuck between the manual and the A10
The A10 is a game changer…..but honestly it depends on your preference they’re both great transmissions but the A10 for me is such a animal
@@samcase7045 hell yea, all my friends have manual cars and they’ve always told me to get a manual but I live in a small city with lots of traffic so I don’t think a manual would be the best bet in my situation
Just a beautiful beast
AGREED!
You always do a great job reviewing 👍🏿🥇
Awesome car, and presentation. But I think the Mustang GT 350 'R' is more to my liking. I've always preferred a manual transmission, but I have to admit, these new automatics do shift awfully fast. That seems to be the trend with new cars these days. I couldn't help notice your now covering up the speedometer. Did ya get busted on one of your videos for speeding? You might want to be careful what you say too. You mentioned in this video you were doing 35 mph and then you floored it. The tach can give away how fast your driving as well. Oh, by the way congrats on your 100k subscribers. Thanks, keep em' comin'.
My day is complete 💪🥰
I am so glad that you liked this one!
Love these reviews huge fan here in Seattle!!’👍. But just a little disappointed not one word about Twinkie storage lol!
There's a 2013 zl1 for sale about 35 miles from me
Is it is a good deal?
@@RaitisRides it only has 11k miles on the car asking 38k for the car
Ryan Montgomery that’s a really good deal imo
@@Eli5.0 not bad
