Great post, thanks very much. Funny that comments differ so much on the best version. Well, not all; that's the thing with personal taste. All are top flight artists. I think that EJ does an excellent interpretation. AL is possibly closest to the Freddie delivery and will appeal to those legions of fans. Then there's PR's belting rock-operatic delivery that seems to unsettle the more traditional Queen/ Freddie fans. PR opened my eyes to the depth of the Queen catalogue and I have really enjoyed his rock n' blues take on their songs.

Adam sings this one really well but it's not comparing like for like. Some Queen songs Adam does better than Paul but vice versa, you bet! Check out Tie your mother down as 1 comparison. @@michaelshepherd885 Paul does not deliver this song with feeling, at all. What are you listening to? It’s not meant to be a bluesy song. It’s meant to be emotionally strong and Theatrical. And speaking of sheer vocal power, Adam blows Rodgers out of the water. His voice fits like a glove for Queen’s music catalogue. Btw, he also does TYMD much better. And Rodgers never sang Who Wants To Live Forever. Why? Because he didn’t have the power…or range. And many others he never sang also.

Paul has a powerful rock voice. Adam cannot do the rock ones. His voice is too thin for rock. ruclips.net/video/M9F1you5Vkc/видео.html - watch this respected rock singer and vocal trainer compare the two. Rodgers never had power? haha ...Why did Queen play numerous Paul Rodgers songs (Fire & Water / Can't Get Enough / All Right Now / Shooting Star / Feel Like Makin Love / Bad Company etc) and 1 song by Adam? It's because Paul is a legendary songwriter, musician and vocalist who has written rock classics and sang them across 2 major bands. Btw, Why did Queen play Paul’s songs? Because he couldn’t sing a lot of Queen’s songs. That’s why. Did he Ever sing Who Wants To Live Forever ( one of the most well known signature songs), Save Me, Love Kills, Machines( powerful note escalations that require excellent breath control), Killer Queen (another one of their signature songs), It’s Late, I was Born To Love You, (signature song), Spread Your Wings, Now I’m Here, Stone Cold Crazy (Insanely fast lyrics that , once again, require excellent breath control). I could go on and on. Paul didn’t or couldn’t sing them. He sang Bad Company garbage instead. Geez, the man was singing with an Iconic band, least he could do was honor them and do more of THEIR songs. Or ALL of their songs.🤦‍♀🙄And Brian played on Adam’s Two Fux and Lucy. “Adam Lambert lands fifth top ten on Billboard’s album sales chart with “High Drama”. Keith Caulfield 3/10/2023. He was in top 5 and 6 on I tunes in several countries. And since the Rhapsody Tour ended in June or July, he has done close to 40 projects….appearances, performances, mini residency in Vegas, concerts in London, Germany, Finland, Israel, performed at the Cannes Film Festival, headlined the Capital Ball at Wembley and at Trafalgar Square back in London for London Pride, performed twice on American Idol, performed twice on The Voice, on The Tonight Show, on The View, on Good Morning America, on America’s Got Talent, on The Geovanni Zarella Show, at The KoKo and Royal Albert Hall back in London. There’s quite a bit more. Adam has an insane work ethic, he always has. He never stops. He gets work everywhere and is always is demand. After all that, he’s going back out on the new Queen tour in the U.S. and Japan very soon. Pretty busy, eh? His solo career is non-stop. Queen is only a few weeks in an entire year. Ok, I’m done. Byeee😊

Adam should be in a musical he'd be very good, just for my taste I find his voice a little to clean, which is why I love blues singers like BB King, Howling wolf. I also like singers like Ronnie James Dio and Paul Rogers is one of my favourite singers. Just my tastes I'm not a fan of really cleam vocals, Freddie could do it all. Adam is good on the popier stuff.
Paul even said some of the songs didn't suit his style and he perhaps wasn't the right vocal for some of the songs but I thought he was great on the heavier stuff, both Adam and Paul are good singers, just one is more suited to pop clean vocals and The other is better at rock and blues.

Adam? He follows the tone of the song, he makes it his own. The goal of the video is to see the types of Queen singers through a single song, each one has their favorite song. Many people think that Paul tunes out Queen because of his blues style, and it is strange to hear him in a type of rock, it is not bad at all but honestly it is something different. The final song with Freddie is more of a tribute than a comparison, we all know that there is no live version of TSMGO with Freddie.

@@TheFashionLoverBoy, thanks for the clarification of the goal but ... why? You have not made an effort when it comes to everyone else who, for all these long three years, praised screaming-Adam just by comparing and graduating with not only Elton and Paul but also with Freddie.
Anyway, what you write about what Paul does is exactly what a singer should do regardless of genre and whether someone likes it or not. That is the meaning of "owning the song" ... not to reproduce.

Adam Lambert is the best front man for Queen, Freddie would be so proud of him. Sorry but Paul Rodgers stinks, I heard they stopped working together due shows not sold out with many empty seats.

Mg, Paul sounds very bad. Adam lambert has the better voice for queens songs, and any one else.

I like Fred the best obviously but I really liked Paul singing as he was so different and he couldn't possibly perform in Fred's style as he just doesn't have that type of personality, I thought at least they have employed a great singer to front them and not some one who will try and do a Freddie, when I first heard and saw footage of Adam I thought he's trying to hard to be like Freddie and to be fair Freddie was a good mix of pop, camp and matcho , Adam is too camp and would make a good drag Queen, some performances look like a cabaret act with Adam lying on a couch wafting a fan singing killer Queen.

Adam made it a point, from the beginning, Never to copy Freddie. Are you serious? He has always interpreted the songs his own way, not Freddie’s way. And you can not say that Freddie wasn’t theatrical, flamboyant, showy, or camp. Have you forgotten his stage costumes? Something Adam wouldn’t be caught dead wearing. Paul was not right for Queen music. He didn’t have the right voice for their catalogue. He didn’t have the power or the range. That’s why he never sang many of them. He filled in with Bad Company songs. Who wants to go to a Queen concert to hear Bad Company? That’s why he didn’t last. They were losing their audiences and ticket sales with Rodgers. That’s why he failed. With Adam they returned to insane success and popularity. He was instantly embraced by fans. They loved his powerful voice, how he performed the songs, his presence, his showmanship and charisma. You can’t deny that he lit them up again. Yes, Adam’s theatrical, he’s flamboyant, he’s camp, he’s colorful, and he’s f**kin fabulous. Everything Queen is known for. And he’s Not a drag Queen. That’s an ignorant comment. And Adam’s performance of Killer Queen on the couch is creatively genius. I bet he thought of it. Kudos to him for that. Audiences just loved it. He has fun on stage, he connects with the audiences, he engages the audiences and they Love him. Now, tell me, what other performances look like a “cabaret act”? You did say some, right? And how is he one iota trying to be Freddie? In exactly what way?

Adam is a very good pop singer, I just prefer a rockier voice on the heavier stuff, a good show would have Paul sing the rock stuff and have Adam sing the pop stuff, no matter who they got to sing they are always going to be compared to Fred Adam more so because he is very theatrical and the whole wearing a crown was Fred's thing. Adam is still a good singer just for me he is suited to pop more than rock.

@@alexjohnston8889 Adam was Never a pop singer in the true sense of the word. If you go through his albums, you are not going to find many true pop songs, at all. And did you know Brian and Roger gave Adam his crown. It was a gift in gratitude for what he has brought to Queen. He, in no way, wears it to copy Freddie. He wears it in honor of Queen.

@@alexjohnston8889 It’s ridiculous to have two singers singing different songs for one band, especially since Adam handles them all exceptionally well.
