    Beautiful playing. This is a very challenging piece to play on clarinet.

    The first recording ever of this piece with clarinet and so far the best is with Mr Stoltzman! This sound bleak in comparison. Also not in tune with the piano which realy makes it hard to listen to

    Thin sound.... Not equal in all registrars.... He is playing nice but sound... Hm...

      Franklin Cohen - has. Or had..
      Brymer in his day played much more in tune with the piano. Not darker but much more vocal.

      I must agree with you.. clarinet is a difficult instrument to master and aucoustics etc has a big impact - the piano how it was tuned that day - I know I’m a clarinetist. Anthony is a very fine player but I agree that he now and then can sound a bit spread or hollow - the focus isn’t there which affects the line in the music and the legato
