spent so much time playing this game on Mplayer back in the days, i was totally addicted, playing all night with buds from the UK and USA, ooga boogie, rodrig1, killedkenny, good memories...!!! i remember also playing with you reichard a few time and you intriduced a few new maps fun times, i still have the game and all the addons thanks for such fun sleepless nights!!! :)
Reichart Von Wolfsheild I remember playing games with Elk and firing off emails to you (rodrig at the time). What an incredible time that was. :) So whatever happened with Prolific? Have you ever considered starting up a kickstarter in order to produce a Return Fire 3? I'd contribute to that without hesitation. I remember seeing some potential art assets for RF3, but that obviously didn't go anywhere.
@@Jonathan.R.Pereira Sure, all things are possible. It takes far more work than people realise to bring a product like to life. Also, the part that is most important is what I call the third layer. First Layer - Making sure the system simply works. Game mechanics, Physics, Rendering. Second Layer - Game Play, Smoothness of operations, Speed of operations, Graphics, Sound, etc. Third Layer - UI/UX, Bells & Whistles. That last layer is what makes a game truly fun, memorable, addicting. Most games spend 3-5% on that last part, we spend 25-35% of time there. It is custom to each platform, to the expectations of the market, and, what can you get away with.
@@perplexedmoth always :) But I have not made games in decades. Most of my time is AI and ontological work. Along with good old boring but needed Project Management software.
Strange that you just uploaded this. I was just talking to some friends about playing this WAY back in the day when my Dad worked at Ripcord.

@@Midsouth-Drone-Photography You're welcome.
Reichart why don't you remaster the original return fire in HD i think it would be a huge success?
The game market is not what it once was.
@@Ki-Lessons Would anyone else be allowed to take a crack at doing it?
