I bought your tutorial yesterday and simply cannot rave enough!!!! Your explanation, sharing your thought process, beginning to end detail, and of course your creativity leaves me speechless! I have many decades of handwork….. crochet, knitting, quilting, embroidery and most recently needle and wet felting. I bought your book as well and am so excited to get started!
Congratulations on a VERY well done tutorial!!! Anyone wondering if they will get their money’s worth….. ABSOLUTELY 💯!!!
Hi Jessica, thank you for signing up to the course and for your lovely feedback, I’m so pleased you’ve enjoyed it! It’s always fab to know when my tutorials and projects are hitting the mark, it inspires me to make more and keep improving the techniques, so I really appreciate you taking the time to comment! Now it’s over to you to make your first bag, do tag me in when you share any photos as I’d love to see!🥰 ps hope to see you in the private Facebook group if you’d like to join!
Bellissima , grazie ❤❤❤❤
I have been extremely lucky to be treated to a day with this lovely lady by my sister! Natasha is wonderful at explaining things in an easy to understand way, when I ran out of steam with the process she helped me out. I would recommend 1000%
Thanks so much for your lovely feedback Helen, that’s really kind and I’m so pleased you enjoyed the day! I also hope you’re enjoying using your fab new bag!👏
Ihave been really interested in making a wet felt bowl on a ball and bought your book ( I waited awhile for it as it was sold out at first!) I followe dyour instructions but I am afraid I didn't do well . I guess I should have purchased the course instead. Once I 'recover" from my disappointment, perhaps I will try again. You make wonderful objects.
Exquisite!
It's perfect!
Thank you!😁
Love this! Thx ❤️❤️
Thanks so much!😁
I am a beginner I would love to learn this.
Thanks Jeneen! You can find out more or sign up via the link in the description below the video. Or you can also find instructions for a basic bag on a ball in my book Wet Felting, available on Amazon!

Hello, I'm from Mexico, how can I buy the tutorial, thanks
Hi, thank you so much for your interest! Here’s the link to all the details and sign up, best wishes to you! natasha-smart-textiles-felting-courses.thinkific.com/courses/felt-bag-on-a-ball
I can see the price of the course, but can you give an estimate of how much all the materials will cost? I'd be interested to try this but have never wet felted before.
Hi, thank you for your comment! It's a bit hard to say as you've got lots of choice of materials, and buying in bulk makes things cheaper, but as a general guide I would estimate that one bag (including strap and clasp) would cost around £15-20. If you are interested in finding out more, I do have basic instructions for making a bag in my book Wet Felting (it's on Amazon), it would give you a full overview into all aspects of wet felting so you might find that useful as a starting point. Thank you for your interest!
Hi, it's currently around US $95.
@DEBERIAN TRADUCIRLO AL ESPAÑOL.
The course is only in English I’m afraid. However, I have an online backpack bag tutorial hosted by Living Felt in Texas, which has subtitles in other languages, including Spanish, so you might enjoy that instead?🤞
Thanks Natasha.. can this bag be made with a traditional resist vs using the ball
Hi, yes you could use a traditional flat resist and shape the felt to give it depth, this is just a different way of doing it (there are so many ways of wet felting aren’t there!). But part of the benefit is getting a truly seamless design for both your embellishment design and the felt, as well as depth and a rounded shape from using the ball form/resist. And the felting/fulling actions are different, so if you don’t like rolling felt this offers an alternative. So do give it a try and see what you think!🤞
Is it possible to wear gloves when doing wet felting? I have very dry fingers and excessive water makes them worse. Thanks!
Hi, absolutely you could, yes! I would just advise using thin hygiene/surgical-like gloves rather than thick rubber gloves, just so that you can feel the fibre/felt as it develops. Because part of understanding what’s going on and how the felt is progressing is noticing changes to the feel of it as it thickens up. But yes you can totally felt with gloves!
@@NatashaSmartTextiles Thanks!
Poderia ter traducao pro portugues, sou do Brasil e queria aprender
Thank you for your comment! I am going to look at subtitles/translations for future videos!
Hi, see my other reply to you!😁
How do I join the course please

Do you have a kit to buy with the class?
Hi, yes I do offer some of the supplies in my UK Folksy shop. The course also includes details of worldwide suppliers!
Boa noite meu nome é hedda vou assistir seus vídeos obrigado
Obrigado por assistir!
do you have something more bio instead of plastic?
Hi, thank you for your comment. If you are referring to the felting ball I think it would be difficult to find another sphere shape made of a different material which is inflatable/deflatable and hardy enough to bounce/bang. Often felters use balloons, which aren’t really reusable, whereas the felting balls I use are completely reusable, in fact I have some which I’ve been using for the last 10 years and they’re still going strong! But if you have any ideas for a replacement then do let me know!
@@NatashaSmartTextiles thank you. :)
@sophie W Thanks for your thoughts, and yes you can totally use other repurposed balls! I’ve used smaller children’s footballs and toy balls from charity shops which work just as well (you just need a valve and pump to inflate/deflate them), and if you want to go bigger then look out for an exercise or Pilates ball, either would work great.

Hi, thanks for your comment! If you visit my website natashasmarttextiles.co.uk you’ll find all the details about my online course and my in-person workshops there!
Where do you buy the straps?
Hi there, I generally buy straps online (eg Ebay), just do a general search, there’s plenty out there!
How much is the course in US dollars?
Hi, obviously it will change a bit depending on the exchange rate but I believe it is currently about $92 (according to Google). I hope that helps!😁
Hello, thank you for getting in touch. I’m assuming you’re asking about being able to watch the online course in German (rather than this preview video)? Unfortunately it is only in English (I would need to have all 8 hours of videos translated into German for that to work - there is no automatic translation or captions). I will keep looking at ways to see if I can translate my material easily into other languages (I am also asked for Spanish), so leave that thought with me. Thank you so much for your interest!
Dove trovo la weth felt baal????

Hi Maggie, I’ve just replied to your other comment!😁
Thanks so much! Unfortunately my online course is in English only, there doesn’t seem to be a way on the platform I’m using to translate it into other languages or use subtitles. Apologies for this. But thank you for your interest!😁
Peut-être en Français ?
Thank you for your comment! I am going to look at subtitles/translations for future videos!
