Thank you for this great video! I wish that Nintendo would made so that the game saved your collectibles for every time you played a level so you dident have to make a 100 % run everytime to collect everything. It would have made the game a lot less frustrating. The game would have been hard anyway.
I’ll be honest, I actually quite like the idea of doing it in one run. It’s a nice change of pace compared to games now, and really made you work for that 100%. I do agree that the game would still be difficult without it, though.
Wow, all six of these S-Levels would've pissed me off as a kid (Kamek's Revenge is pretty nasty to 100% though). Glad I missed out and just played the SNES version; these level designs are awful lol
Lol yeah I hear you. I think 1, 2 and 4 are pretty inoffensive though. 3 has that ridiculous set of requirements at the end, 6 lasts an eternity, 5 is pretty obtuse (but kinda rewarding to figure out)
@@tmfuentes2001 That’s probably how I used to feel about it, and it definitely overstays its welcome. I don’t really mind it anymore though. It has a pretty solid structure to it, even if it gets repetitive. Secret 3 is probably the worst level in the game if you’re trying to 100%
@@tmfuentes2001 It’s pretty much the entire last room of that level. Immediately you start with a helicopter section that leads to the mole tank, and if you’re too slow to find the red coins then you just die. After that, the rest of the area has some trial and error to figure out what order you should use the one-time-only transformation bubbles. AND there’s that one part where you have to fly under the level with the helicopter. I guess it’s not terrible if you already know what to do, but figuring it out is really miserable the first time.
@@Drayiss Because of that whole entire last room for Secret 6 that you brought up (which can get frustrating if you have no idea what you’re doing the first time you’re playing it), and now I could tell why you believe that Secret 3 is much worse than Secret 6.
Hi i have a question about secret 6... All people go to the right at the end of the level where you get the last red coin and then the last flower at the end of the stage but, has anybody tried doing by the upper exit? It's the only one that i have to finish my game with 100% and eventhough it's not a difficult level compared to other ones it's a bit disgusting. Thanks
Hiya! Yeah, the last level is pretty nasty about the ending, especially after such a long stage. I haven’t played in a while, but from what I can remember the top exit takes you to a different area, and it doesn’t have a flower. I think this was my second run through the level because I forgot to do that!
Thanks, I remember going through the video as tediously as possible just to make sure that I added the things in at the right time. I’d like to think I could do it faster now…
Excellent job, really fun to watch for those of us who don’t want to have to go through the whole remake for extra 6 levels haha!
Exactly why I’m here. Just 100% the original today lol.
Thank you for this great video!

Geez That Secret 5 is like a puzzle no wonder Nintendo left out the Secret Levels in the NES Version of this game.
The Secret levels were designed specifically for this version of the game.
I’m just happy with the mere concept of more Yoshi’s Island levels
Dear lord, imagine the nightmare of having to backport Yoshi’s Island to the NES
the snes version comes before the gba version lol
You mean SNES version.

13:49 it almost feels like you walked into the room only to get a middle finger
S7: sewers. Music Use I Sawed The Demons
Any thoughts for Secret 6 in this GBA Version of this game?
For me personally, it has to be to one of the worst levels in the game. 👋

It looks like Secret 4 appears to take place just after the battle with Hookbill.
Do secret 7 ?

@@DrayissYeah, I can confirm this, I've just completed it this morning and went through the upper exit. There was no Kamek and no last flower 🥲
The layout you have with the flowers and the coins is very sexy. 🏵️🪙
