It’s cause all the sprites are from different games with their own art style. Like, Yoshi is new, baby bowser is reused from the old game, adult bowser is a traced 3D model from Universal Gravitation, they use both old and new kamek sprites even though they have totally different art styles, etc

I actually wrote a book about this game during my Kindergarten year. I actually have never played the game, I just read about it and like the characters. I don’t know if I still have it, though.
This game was so hard in retrospect. Kid me was never able to beat the level in W5 with the platform that only moved if you jumped. Finally beat the rest of the game when I got older though.
anton Mowat this is creepy because bowser jr is baby bowser so bowser is treating his past self like a son to him. and that's the reason why bowser jr has no mother because bowser is him from the past maybe he kidnapped himself back in time.
So, in the final boss we see there’s 4 Yoshi in the castle. Then in the ending, we see Green Yoshi safely being carried away with the babies while Bowser’s Castle Cumbles... They left behind the other 3 Yoshi. Do they just die?
Most of the sound effects were taken from this game... even Mario's cry. Oh, and then there's Yoshi's vocal grunts and the Shy Guys' "hey-ha" from "Yoshi's Story".
I remember how hard it was to reach the main boss in world 4 like before the boss door there is 3 walls of instakill spikes and a ice maze also with instakill spikes

For the longest time, I never made the connection that there were actual enemies throwing those chairs and vases that could only be shown by the mirror in Hector the Reflector's boss room.
I love how grown bowser was added as a boss fight Kate in development so he looks like a decent middle schooler drawing lol. His boss fight Eben seems rushed regular side he hardly faves you and guant sized no tension like smw2yi where gisnt bowser jr was running at you while parts of the ground fell away
I wonder how would it be if they tried to make a boss with slime physics. I remember when I fought Sluggy the Unshaven, and I was just amazed at the animation!
the bungee piranhas were always nightmare fuel for young me because of how fast they attacked and how they just came from the ceiling, so seeing that there was a boss of one was not the most thrilling lol the antlion boss was fun though

I love how the minibosses have such a peaceful music, and yet they're far more brutal than the actual bosses of the respective worlds.
And they’re not repeats nor do they all take 3 hits to beat.
nor do they have bad music (if you don't agree, just compaere it to the one from snes yoshi's island)
There's something about this game's aesthetic that makes it look like a well-made fan game made from flash.
Maybe its because it wasn't made by the same people who made the snes game

3ds cosmo black will work better on yoshi's island ds with a 5000mah battery life. I would highly recommend that.
