/// ABOUT US ///
Hi! We are Eric and Sarah, a couple of Canadians currently travelling around Ecuador. We’ve been married since 2017 but have known each other since we were only 6 years old! During our last year of university, we spent 4 months in Honduras on a semester abroad and fell in love with Latin America. Since then, we began planning and saving to do an extensive Latin America tour. 2020 delayed those plans by half a year but during this time stuck in BC, we explored a new hobby (like everyone in the pandemic) of videography and photography. We are now using our new skills to document our adventures around Ecuador. Our desire through these videos is to provide helpful and inspiring content for other travelers while also showing people around the world how beautiful and underrated Ecuador truly is! Thanks for following along and please leave a comment to say hi!

Hi Guys! It's great That you've been visited our City, you'r welcome to the "Manso Guayas"
That’s great! Thank you so much for watching!
It’s a great city !
Hi Eric and Sarah! Just found your channel and enjoyed watching your adventures. My wife Cindi and I were in Ecuador for an exploratory trip in March for 15 days. We stayed at the Grand Hotel about a block away from the park. We spent most of our time in Playas and Olon. We're planning a return trip this winter to Cuenca this time. In your Cuenca video you mentioned you only travel with carry-on's. Can you say more about that approach?
Hi Matt! Thanks for following along! So awesome you’ve been here recently. It’s a great country :)
We each travel with a carry-on backpack (40L and 44L) plus a smaller backpack on our front. Works great for us because we’re moving around frequently by bus and don’t want large luggage. Plus if we want to take flights, we don’t pay for luggage! We don’t find we need any more space :) Hope that helps!
Grandioso vídeo, gracias por visitarnos!! ❤️🇪🇨Éxitos y Bendiciones!🙏
Very nice 😊 video! We loved your energy! Next time go to Plaza de Lagos in Samborondon across the river, beautiful 🤩 area!
Thanks for watching! :)
Woww! my city! sooooo happy to have you here, hope you enjoy your stay!!!!

Best quality of ecuador videos by far! Looking forward to more travel videos.
Thank you!! Glad to have you following along!
I’ll be visiting my beautiful Guayaquil city in a couple of months, I can’t wait!
Great vids. The ‘stations of the cross’ on your way up to the Jesus statue are an integral part of Good Friday morning Catholic tradition inside the church (stations around the inside of the church). I wonder if they pray at the stations of the cross you walked by on the way to the statue? 🤓
So interesting! Next time we see Majo, we will ask her. Thanks for watching!
Jillian Swaine *You’re absolutely right, that’s exactly what’s for. We pray at every station on our way up on Good Friday. Good catch Jillian, regards!*
Omg guayaquil that’s where I was born love it so how long it took to get to the top

Great video. You guys are a cute couple, you look great together. Congratulations and keep up your good job. Greetings from Norwalk, Connecticut, USA
Thank you so much for watching! And thank you for the kind words ☺️
Have you been to the gondola ride and the Ferris wheel ride in Balneário Camburio Brazil? I was there in May. Great fun!
Currently in Guayaquil, so was great watching your video to see what's coming up! Psyched for the iguanas! hahaha. Thanks guys :-)
So glad you found it helpful! Hope you enjoy the iguanas 😄
i mean it cost like $8 to take a long-distance bus from Cuenca to Guayaquil. it was kind of scary how much the bus leaned in the curves arouond the steep mountain drops... chugging up a hill. There''s also a heavy mist in the air descending altitudes that the bus is saturated with wetness, strng funky foot smell resulting, most long-distance buses had that smell...ugh making you not wanna eat
wow that gondola thing wasnt' there in 2018. too bad i missed it.
We took that bus to Cuenca and it was a wild experience! We loved the views :) Thanks for watching!
🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨 always
4:19 this is a very common thing in catolicism in Europe. There are certain dates where you have a kind of extended mass where you go by all those stops and have prayer at each. Usually very common at pilgrim spots
Guayarte si my favorite place, i've beatiful moments in this place :'). Nice video guys, thanks for visit my city, new suscriptor 😄
Thanks to you I’m a little bit more confident of my city since for years I dreamed to live in Florida and thought guayaquil is the worts place to live in! But now that I see you guys visiting my city I’m a bit more confident! Hopefully we se you again soon!
Good video. I'm thinking of going to Guayaquil.

Me gusta mucho Guayaquil ♥️
The gondolas are public transportation (crazy). you see those on the Disney World. I hoped you enjoyed the seafood.
you can tell
she is soooo in luv with him
🤍
Thank you for the overview of the city. Is it frequently overcast or are there blue skies sometimes? You don't mention shopping, earthquakes or real estate options, but then you're still young and not yet considering retirement.
The main negativities of Guayaquil are the higher crime rate (especially these past few years), the traffic and noise, the heat and humidity in their "summer" season, and the amount of slummy urban neighborhoods throughout the city..
But the positive aspects of the city are its people being very outgoing and sociable, its great seafood along with other Ecuadorian and foreign cuisine, the many nice suburbs of the north, some historic suburbs and buildings in the south end and downtown, the Malecon/Las Peñas/the zoological park/the revitalization of the west side along the Estero and the University, and the overall tropical outgoing vibe of the city and people. Also the evenings, even in their summer, are generally comfortable (far more comfortable than Houston TX summer evenings). I still prefer the Andean cities and environment/climate up there, but Guayaquil has many enjoyable things too.
So interesting and incredible video! Great! 🍓🍓🍓 💖💖💖 🍒🍒🍒
Thank you ! 🌴
Go to Cuenca Beutiful city
We will definitely be going to Cuenca!
Just one thing. Guayas river is NOT the larger river of Ecuador. It is Napo river on the amazon region a large river that conect with the great Amazonas river
they can visit the Chimborazo
We will be there soon :)
When I move to Ecuador, the reptiles and invertebrates are a good reason my son, Joseph Early-Haysley might come visit me ever again.
Hello. It s not part of a river that cross Guayarte is a part of the Pacific Ocean. Guayaquil has a big river and several entrances of the Pacific Ocean called “Estero salado”
Hola Éric y Sarah , gracias por visitar mi país y en especial mi ciudad , saludos de un Guayaquileño que hace 2 años vivo acá en Lake Worth FL , uds de donde son ? muchas bendiciones
im from ecuador, but i have never been to guayakill. it actually looks nice hahaha kind of thought it was just a place where you go to get shot hahahaha
Next tine check San Borondon and food garden at night 😎
I 💞 ECUADOR ✌️😍 HAVE A BEAUTIFUL 😍❤️ CITY'S
Going to Guayaquil soon to get to the Galapagos. Not going to lie im a bit scared. I keep reading about how dangerous it is. Any tips i really want to make it back home without a traumatic experience. Any places i should 100% avoid?
If you're nervous, I would just avoid taking any buses or public transport. Use Uber if you can. As far as places to avoid, you can just stay on the Malecon 2000 area and there is plenty to see without risking safety! Hope that helps!
Did you guys stay in a Hotel or Airbnb? Any suggestions.
Great video. Are they still requiring masks there in 2022?
I don't think it's mandatory anymore. Bring one just in case. But if you don't have one and need one in a pinch, they will likely sell them on the street for 50 cents or a dollar or something
Visit The Barcelona Stadium
ah I live in Ecuador in Guayaquil
edit: I've gone there so many times I've counted all the steps when I was younger 164
I love guayarte there should be some drawings on the ground and mami t is so gooD
