As a person from the UK, I would highly recommend a candy, don't know if u have an equivalent but it's from a company called Rowntree's and the candy is Fruit Pastilles
They don't sell Rowntree's fruit pastels, here jn the states, unless you go to a import shop then they tends to be old and gross.

When it turns out there’s no black current in America...
blackcurrant, and other ribes plants, were disease vectors for the main lumber crops on the east coast of the US. They were outlawed because of this, but they're ok in certain areas here now. They're still very rare though.
There is ONE candy that I know of in the us that has black current in it. The candy is called ‘Twin Snakes’

@@kg0704 Fritt sieht man heutzutage sehr selten oder eben gar nicht mehr in den Läden. War aber zu meiner Kindheit in den 80ern sehr verbreitet. Und wenn es im Sommer keine Überraschungseier gab, dann gabs eben Fritt von meiner Oma.
Mamba und Maoam sind mehr oder weniger das Gleiche, während Fritt im Gegensatz zu einem Band/Streifen geformt ist.
Das Grundprodukt eines fruchtigen Kaubonbons ist jedoch bei allen dreien gleich und können alle drei bei einem online Süßigkeiten Händler gekauft werden.

There was a thing with black currants in like 1700-something were they had to be removed.
Black currants were banned in america because the imported plants were bringing a disease which threatened american pine trees. Since most americans aren't familiar with it, companies don't bother flavoring anything after it.
Black currant tastes like grape and raspberry had a child to me , ive only had Ribena because that's the only black currant thing sold here in the US but I liked it 🤷🏼♀️😂

Grape flavored stuff is gross imo. Tastes too medicinal.
Apparently the reason America doesn’t have many blackcurrant flavoured things is because blackcurrant plants brought in diseases and so they got banned, and companies just still don’t flavour things with it because Americans are not use to it. Although I don’t know how true this is, as I am British myself, and just heard that from from another comment. I much prefer blackcurrant to grape. Do they not even have blackcurrant squash??

With the no shell Skittles, you would smooth them all together and freeze dry them, then crush them into a power and use the powered Skittles as a topping of a skittle themed cake!

i have to say as a brit, its extremely rare to have a candy that the US doesnt lol.

We have stuff that's sold in the world market/only in the international stores, such as mars bars and aero bars and stuff and digestive biscuits and Ribena, but none of it is sold in regular grocery story candy sections

You should freeze dry wine gums, double decker, jelly babies (the powdery ones), liquorice alsorts, bounty and smarties. There all from England and all have the same flavour as the skittles if there chewy sweets, the chocolate bars have unique insides and the smarties are just skittles with chocolate insides.
A giant sweet tart would be cool.
In the Netherlands we have "Zwart Witjes" from Venco, which are mint and liquorice flavour inside with hard shell (just like skittles).
Maybe even buy the "droptoppers" from Venco, which also have balls and longer shaped liquorice.

You should try to freeze dry an ostrich egg, a stick of gum chewed and unchewed, pickles, chipped, speared and whole and maybe the juice, and maybe a potato, like tried to make your own chips 🙂
I have an experiment I want to see done. Here in the UK we have weetabix or wheat biscuits. When they soak up enough milk and are left to go hard they are almost impossible to remove I would like to see what it can hold together!
