    Directed by Mike Sloat
    Produced by Roaring Mouse Productions
    Uncensored Version: vimeo.com/4786...
'ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN' is a 13 track concept album set in a decimated futuristic wasteland where the sky is stained crimson red. The crux of the story is based on 2 main characters:
Character #1 Ares: (pronounced Aries), our main, who loses the love of his life (Amethyst) and goes on a murderous rampage against the vile sect responsible for her murder.
Character #2 Eros: (pronounced Arrows) the perpetrator, who loses his mother to a drug overdose and becomes radicalized in the aftermath. Eros goes off the deep end manifesting his own killing spree.
The lyrics detail how their lives intertwine.
MACHINE HEAD founder Robb Flynn comments:
“Thanks to my 2 teenage boys my family has become obsessed with this awesome Japanese anime series called “Attack On Titan.” The album’s concept was loosely inspired by the series in the sense that in the storyline, there is no “good" or "bad" guy, both characters believe they’re doing the right thing as it applies to their being, but make no mistake, both are committing acts of pure atrocity and evil. The opening track “SLAUGHTER THE MARTYR” is basically our character #1’s origin story.”
    FORMATS:
The colossal concept comes with a list of equally colossal packaging for various physical formats including 16 different worldwide vinyl formats, deluxe vinyl box set (with bonus tracks), CDs (both old-school longbox and jewel box options), multi-color cassettes, and a limited-edition Digipak with bonus tracks.
CDs, Digipak, cassettes, and all digital formats will be available on Aug 26th, with all vinyl formats arriving on Nov 25th.

MACHINE HEAD "MY HANDS ARE EMPTY" LYRICS
    Misery, cover me in waves
    The heartache is slowly
    Withering, I become her slave
    Succumb to the darkness
Suffocating like I’m drowning in sand
Depression’s got me by her cold dead hands
    Treachery, the choices you made
Cut my heart open with this golden blade
My hands are empty, lies so petty
My hands are empty, kill me gently
Medicate, I watched you slowly die
    The powders and pills
Disintegrate, you right before my eyes
    The emptiness haunts me
Glass reflections of a cold dead stare
Ingesting chemicals of death with no care
Memories, they haunt me they stain
Of what you once meant to me before this pain
My hands are empty, lies so petty
My hands are empty, kill me gently
I, I will not hide these scars of mine
    (Take away the shame)
I, I will not be what's left behind
    (Find someone else to blame)
    Forgiveness, constricted
    No longer human
    A ghost in time

@@xokx7772 I'm writing this in response to Machine Head and their lyricist, a guy called Robb - you might have heard that name around here somewhere. If you would care to take the time to read the lyrics of this song, you might come to the conclusion that the topic of this song is exactly that: dealing with crippling, lifethreatening depression. So I am repsonding to these lyrics on the platform and by the means of communication that are given to me: the "comment section".
Essentially, this is a conversation between me and the lyrics of this song, and you are disturbing a topic that you obviously do not understand nor are invited to.

I've seen this interview with Robb one day, where he talks about his therapy and that he recommends it to everyone who struggles with depression. It made me pick up my phone and I searched for a therapist until I saw this woman's face which I liked. And I still see her every week. I haven't been using anymore since I saw that interview here on yt. I don't count days anymore because I have bad experience with it. But that doesn't matter. This interview.. Most of the fans like myself must have seen it too, right? I've always loved machine head most of all because of the lyrics. It took me from hate to love. It's all about self recognition to me. This awesome music and the lyrics have always been like looking in a mirror to me. And I'm actually really thankful for all the years that machine head gave me all kinds of energies like anger, hate, adrenaline, strength, love, and the feeling that there are others like me out there. This voice and the words sounded like my own. And it still does. I'll always have to watch myself, but you know, I got machine head as my ultimate anti depression medicine. And I just wanna say thanks! Cause this band is very important to me from since I was... Too young.

Anxiety is also the same for me in the sense I feel like its always been there but this year (pre covid)it has been the worst its ever been and it is always music that helps me through. Friends disappear in these times of darkness but music is a constant that I feel more and more connected with each day. Well..... I am genuinely impressed. After how rocky things have been for machine head for the past 4 years given the direction they have been going in, I was worried for this song hoping it wouldn’t be another catharsis rehash with some glimpses of bloodstone and diamonds. Then I hear the song, the heaviness in the musicianship, the dark emotional lyrics, and the melodies and move you and grab you by the neck. There is hope for machine head. Thank you for your service to heavy metal!

I love it when bands that are at the latter end of their great careers, creating the best music they ever released in my opinion. Their latest release shows the maturity of their sound, the mellow vibes is how most of us that followed them since the 90's (or Flyns earlier material) feel in our later years [as I'm almost 50]. We can't go full octane like 30 years ago. The song writing on the latest release, wow! The stories they tell. I couldn't believe how deep, personal, and honest the lyrics were from a Machine Head album! The caliber of bands like Pink Floyd, Tool, and Bob Dylan. 10/10

@morwen angelus What I see is a talented writer writing about what he knows. A man who is fighting with his demons. Demons who won't leave him no matter how hard he fights. It's sad, it's exhausting, but he hasn't given up. The moral of the story is to never EVER give up trying to find some fucking peace. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who have insight who can relate, and know that that's metal as fuck.

    • @user-zu9kk5et8b
      @user-zu9kk5et8b 3 года назад +1

    • @user-zu9kk5et8b
      @user-zu9kk5et8b 3 года назад +3

@Danny Nah. 'Bastards' is BRILLIANT. Robb has proven that he's capable of writing for the masses when the message needs to reach as many people as possible. If you don't like the message, then that's something you gotta resolve. Dude is insightful as hell. It's like he sets his mind to music, cuz that's EXACTLY what he's doing. I can't understand why people don't understand that musicians have political voices. I mean, there's Trumpers out there jamming to RATM, not knowing that the band is anti-fascist. Read the lyrics, people. If you don't like the message, then quit complaining and find a band whose music speaks to you. The FANS aren't evolving.

You gifted us with a song that elicits reminders of our spiritual transformations, much like "Now We Die" did, but it also encourages us to keep fighting for it if we haven't, because we want to heal.❤️🤘
I mention the latter song, cuz this song's message and video imagery:
    "Ashes to ashes
    The ocean crashes
    Louder and louder it cries
    Over and over
    The sands wash over
    Facing, embracing the tides
And with this now we die"
