Camera Ron's saying reminds me of a story I heard once upon a time: There was this boy standing on the sandy beach where there were hundreds of starfish beached. He was throwing them back into the ocean. Another guy saw what he was doing and said to him, you can never throw all those starfish back into the ocean, what difference do you think you can make. I’m 74 years old and this morning at church I heard the pastor say something I have never heard before or even thought about till now. There was a live miniature donkey that lead in the members for Palm Sunday The pastor in the children’s service pointed out the Cross on the donkey’s neck and back to remember Christ riding the donkey!

I love to see the progress that you have made with Bree. One thing that Lester should have done in his own challenge was drink out of his ponds, after all they are just big water troughs for his animals! Am I right? 😂
A tablespoonful of white vinegar in the trough will keep the algae down and help with the worms, and stop mites on the chicken and ducks

It wasn’t pointless! It was only meant for the ones who never clean there water.. It’s not good for any animals to drink from water that isn’t changed for weeks.. I will say I was disappointed in Daniel as I thought he would it.. 😂 Watch some of the other farms and look at there waters? They just add water to the old but never dump it and start from fresh. I know it’s impossible to clean everyday anyone with common sense would know that.. But you should clean it depending on the weather especially in the summer heat.. God bless! ❤
I am glad you addressed the water challenge. I personally didn't care for the way Lester was calling everyone out to make himself look good. I don't get why he thinks it's his place to call others out. Staying in your own lane unless you see harm being caused is less judgemental . If that's the case you need to go to those people privately instead of calling them out publicly. Not everyone is OCD. I live in West Texas. It is basically a desert. The amount of water being dumped is noticeable to us. Love y'all ❤

Hey Daniel, could you put a bowl under Spot when you relieve her one teet? Thinking the baby might slurp some of that too. Just a thought. That's funny about Lester's challenge is. If you want disintary from it, that'll do it. Animals have certain organs and glands to filter out much of what's in their water. We had at one time a very large appendic that did that sort of filtering, but over time it's grown very small and can't filter like animals can. You wonder why they asked you, it's because you are an awesome father and fellow human being.
I think Bree will get more affectionate after a bit longer and her liking those treats . Daniel all your animals are health and happy .. and you and DeJay take great care of them all !!
I love that you all are making progress with Bree. She seems to really enjoy being brushed, and she's warming up to the treats. I was impressed with the turnout this year at the expo. It looked like a lot of fun.
Animals are used to pond or lake water. So the water in buckets are a treat
I saw Daniel at the Okie Expo today introduced myself while shaking his hand and actually couldn’t remember what to say except I heard Colby and your son came did your wife? Of course all while looking and seeing how tall that man really is, I never noticed it on videos. I really wanted to tell him I enjoy his videos. I felt completely dumb as I walked away. It was great to recognize him in the crowd. I had been outside volunteering selling tickets.
We all love you Daniel. That might be part of the reason why they asked you to introduce everyone. I hope to make it there to the Okkie gathering some day.

Lester's water container/trough challenge is not about drinking the animal's nasty bacteria filled, dirty, stagnate, backwash water.
It's about the awareness of keeping your animals healthy, and the importance of changing out the stagnate bacteria-filled water and removing any algae and scum buildup inside the water containers/troughs.
Warm, stagnate, bacteria and algae covered water containers are way different than having some dirt & debris in the water. Dirt, debris from the trees, and pollen on top the water don't make animals sick or cause their death but the lack of water or warm, stagnate, bacteria filled, algae covered, scum, and backwash filled water can and does.
I would just love to see Daniel's face when he fires that van up. 😂 Some farms don't have pigs and ducks. You do a marvelous job, Daniel. And may I say, you are a fine man taking Jacoby along. I would most definitely get my picture taken with him.😂😂

Daniel is the cool dad I never had. Imagine if more dads out there were like Daniel, how much better this world would be. Not saying all dads are under par but there are quite a few out there that need to improve. My dad has 0 to do with me for example. I'm near dying of stage 4 liver disease with no option for a transplant. I have congestive heart failure too, along with many other ailments and I've let my dad know but he cares none at all. Arms Family is awesome!

i had in my house.
When I lived on a farm I had a toilet brush hanging on the water faucet . I got alot of static about it. I used it to run around the inside of the pans and get out more of the alge and dirt out every few days. You do a great job with your animals. Keep it up! ❤

Oh my gosh, when I was a kid,I helped my Dad dig a well to water pigs, chickens, ducks,geese and dogs. He finally put a screen on it because we girls were pumping up worms and frogs.😂😅

Some farms only have ponds for their animals to drink from. That is perfectly fine! It’s what they do in the wild too!

I could get a adult to adult comparison visually, I should have instinctively known that you being a ex state trooper were probably not a small in stature man. How tall are you? I said also that they drink water that has everything in it. You give the dogs a clean bowl and they drink out of the one the ducks were swimming in. Lester bleaches his over and over. Sure it’s drinkable at that time. After the cows put their faces in it no one would drink it. It starts out clean but not for long.

I just finished watching coghill farm and Jesse is doing so well there. She plays with a red ball and was running through the piles of hay and compost piles that Brook ran her tractor over to spread out. Jesse loved it. Honey and Jesse are doing well together. It’s good to see her with a breed animal like herself. Bree is so pretty too. She is coming along well.
Daniel if you look at Doss Farms new property the water he takes fresh for his Animals is taken from his well before it goes through the filters that he can drink in his home but his Animals have shown they love his water as it comes out of the ground full of minerals especially the Iron content that gives it a reddish tint ,like you he points out how animals drop food and straw into their troughs but! they all are happy to drink it

Phebe is one of the sweetest yet most over the top dramatic young donkeys you own. To calm baby Bree you should pick your calmest older donkey or borrow a older tame donkey or horse to be her role model. Bree hides behind attention grabbing Phebe. Which makes it difficult for you to approach Bree even for a pet. Just a suggestion I was given when calming my first Mustang filly. I wouldn't suggest this if it had not done wonders on my freshly captured off the territory of Nevada freaked out filly I purchased . She was less than 1 year and just recently separated from her mom like Bree. The older calmer supervisor horse caused a dramatic change in my flighty filly. Good luck on your progress.

From what I heard of Lester's video and speech on the water challenge, he specifically said he wasn't trying to get anyone to drink from the containers themselves as mych as he was trying to call attention to people keeping their animals water and water containers clean. He didn't want anyone to do something that might make them sick.. He was only trying to call attention to animals needing clean water.
Either way, do you see how that got twisted into what it was here? Probably not the greatest idea to go drinking out of an animals water bowl because what other people might gather from it and spread the wrong idea to other people.

Growing up on a farm we never had to water our animals. We had a couple small ponds and a damp weather creek. They were never emptyed an cleaned.
