Aman5 No because it also is a thing in the grip. If you see a horse collar and a hair pull, you’ll see that a hair pull ends with them being pulled down just like the HC, but slower.
With an HC you get a better grip and position.

Man I had dreads in my early 20s too. After 5-6 years I could not take them anymore. The weight I was carrying aound started to drive me crazy..that is not counting that my wife said they were starting to stink even though I tried to wash them. Got a high fade in the back and feel 10lbs lighter.
That's crazy I've had my dreads for 11 years now and never had an issue with the weight of them...I think dealing with the heat in the summer is the real challenge 😅
Biggest mistake most dudes I know with dreads make, they keep them in for way too long. They should be taken out, thoroughly washed, and replaced every two weeks. And I know what the response is, “No man, dreads are different. You get a special shampoo and you lather it into your hair then let it sit there for a little bit and that cleans it.” Yeah, we know, we’ve all heard it a thousand times. It doesn’t work and the dreads end up smelling disgusting.
Personally speaking, I cannot imagine taking my hair out and putting it back in every two weeks. That would be a nightmare.
