As for why the call is done like that...by definition, the play starts when the center snaps the ball. It’s funny to me that they call the penalty on the entire line instead of calling the penalty on the center lol the definition of “false start” doesn’t necessarily mean “to start early” it means “to start incorrectly” so by the center not snapping the ball when he is supposed to, he is technically the one enacting the infraction.

It’s funny to me that they call the penalty on the entire line instead of calling the penalty on the center lol the definition of “false start” doesn’t necessarily mean “to start early” it means “to start incorrectly” so by the center not snapping the ball when he is supposed to, he is technically the one enacting the infraction.
@@blpanthers00 A false start is not "to start incorrectly", a false start is movement by an o-lineman before the ball is snapped. The ball was never snapped so, the call was correct.

And he was absolutely right. Our offense was pathetic. All we needed was a field goal, down 13 to 14 and we couldn't even do that. Vrabel saw our struggling offense and doubled down. That's situational football like the Pats like to play. So I give him props, even as a pats fan
