Moving Shadow, from its inception in 1990 right up to its final release in 2005, was a pioneering label within the UK rave scene that remains influential to the development of modern day Drum & Bass.
In the early days, when assisting with the shift from Breakbeat Hardcore into what become known as Jungle, Moving Shadow consistently delivered exceptionally high musical quality. Melody, groove and feeling were at the centre of a slew of releases from the likes of EZ Rollers, Omni Trio and, as we have here, Foul Play: a duo who cemented themselves as major players in the scene during their shortlived career.
This track is a refreshing insight into a style that epitomises the label has stood the test of time, continuing to sound fresh today as it would have done 17 years ago.
