3:53 they are so right, but only because hanging out with a trans individual opens your eyes to how you ACTUALLY feel about yourself, not just how you have been told to feel. At least that’s how it was for me. People don’t always realize they don’t have to try to fit in an unattainable box until they’re told.

Realizing my experience was different from "normal" folks in one way helped with me knowing when I had a different experience in other areas of my life. That whole "If I'm different then I'm weird, but I want to fit in, so I'll pretend to be normal!" thing doesn't work as well for nonbinary Neurodivergent folks. We can closet ourselves all we want, we already have brains that work different, having a different gender just doesn't hit the same after that.

The one about the amber heard and Johnny Depp trial is so important.
Personally, I refused to watch it because I believe trials like that shouldn't be publicized and sensationalized the way it was. I firmly detest celebrity culture. I'm sure there is valuable information and discussion to be brought forth from that trial, however I refuse to take part in it, other people can discuss that, I can draw from other things.
But the way that celebrities are idolized, gather huge followings that they have a huge influence over, have excessive amounts of money, and can get away with awful things is exactly why I believe celebrity culture is downright dangerous.
My friend was consulting me on some random tidbits watching the trial because people in the chat where he was watching literally don't understand PTSD at all(They only understood PTSD the way it's portrayed in Hollywood, and that portrayal prevented me from even realizing I had PTSD for over 8 years and from actually getting a diagnosis for over 10). I've come across someone who said they knew amber heard was lying because they were and empath and amber heard wasn't getting choked up talking about her experience.
So not only do we have a dangerous culture that puts people in power based on looks, luck, money, connections, and a dash of skill or talent, the people who engage with this culture genuinely do not understand what they are talking about. We have people brandishing harmful misinformation like a sword at anyone who dare oppose their beloved idols.
I don't know what to say, honestly I'm just tired of it all.

Guys this is very off topic but walking a 100 pound pitbull and a boxer without a leash IS VERY STRESSFUL. I finally end up at a park, and surprise: there's a cop. I was pissed; no dogs are allowed at the park. He obviously says "No dogs allowed in the park, take them home"
(Side note: The cops in my town get 55% of their money from invalid tickets)
So I was super extra mad. I just manage to walk 2 very hard to control dogs without a leash. The boxer then jumps up on this cop's car, and starts barking rabidly at the cop. In her 8 years of life, I've never seen her be violent to another human. I was pleasantly surprised. The cop said, "she better not scratch my car."
I left, and gave the dogs lots of water. I hope my dog scratched the side of his car.

LONG DUMP ABOUT THE ELECTION IN MY COUNTRY:
In not so long my country is going to elect a new “statsminister” (which in American terms would be a president) and lately I’ve been extremely scared because I don’t want a dangerous person to be elected. I don’t want my rights as a queer person to be debated or endangered.
The last “statsminister” was Mette Frederiksen and she wasn’t super shitty. (well kind of but oh well) but there has been a huge controversy with her and since she was more “left-wing” (well not really but more left than right let’s just say that) and I’m scared that peoples perception of the left is gonna totally change! And my rights will be under attack! I’m also a minor so I can’t even vote.
I’m happy that everyone here at least has a good view on my rights and that’s weirdly empowering. ❤️

    More nursing tips!
There are several places you can check someone’s pulse at, and a grounding mechanism I use is look for and feel for all of them, or just at my wrist or neck if I am in public.
To take your wrist, use your index and middle finger and flip your other hand to be palm up. Put your two fingers on the bone your thumb attaches to, and from this point move down to your wrist. For better results, apply some pressure. This way you can pin the vessel against the bone and feel it better.
You can feel your carotid up by your neck, start at the middle of the neck and under your jaw and, with your index and middle finger, move to the edge of your jaw. It should be slightly below the area where your jaw bone starts to point up. You don’t need to apply as much pressure to this area to feel it, in fact that is something you really shouldn’t do. For a patient I would only check their pulse from here if it was an emergency, but it’s easy to do on yourself!
With my grounding technique, I will grab one wrist and count my pulse for 30 seconds, then count on the other wrist. This forces me to focus on something else for at least 60 seconds. If I need more, then I will check my carotid pulses at the same time, and count them.
(Unrelated, but you can also feel around the carotid artery for lymph nodes! They are part of your immune system, and will swell if you are sick. I use this to gauge whether I’m just not feeling well, or if I might be sick)

    Very proud of myself today.
In all of the HASS classrooms are a laminated x-axis representing the polar political ends; the far-left being communism and the far-right being nazism (or at least the collective ideas of ethnic genocide supported by fascism). My health teacher saw this and (likely rhetorically) asked aloud the difference between communism and nationalism, as she thought they were "pretty much the same thing".
So I said, well, in history, the commonality is extreme authoritative leadership by the elected leaders, which also happened to tie into our class teachings about leadership styles. She then prompted with, "But isn't China communist?" and I replied that well, no. Communism is the practice of the fundamental ideas of a stateless, classless, moneyless society. As a highly *privatised*, *capitalistic* *state-run enterprise*, China can't be communist, as its mere function is the antithesis of the underlying requirements of communism.
However, at the initial implementation (and even suggestion) of socialist ideals in the past - with the exception that the progression was towards the leaders' own chosen flavours of authoritarian-spiced communism i.e. sporadic, unmeasured responses to what should have been gentle economic restructuring that was still affected by market economies by using money, not yet being self-sufficient, and depending upon trade routes caused mass uncertainty that meant the leadership response required extreme authoritative responses, which caused the societies to leech into totalitarianism to regain some control - (but a 2.0 version with states, money (or a valued bargaining tool), and classes of elites running the show), there were consistent rises in nationalistic views, as peoples' wishes for a more equal, liveable existence were granted. However, the fragility of the existing economic ties meant unplanned food and similar shortages in the necessities to live a decent life (shelter, clothing, drinking water, sanitation, and health treatment options) occurred at an exponential rate. And so, it wasn't an issue of "straying away from democracy" (which were ideas still being conceptualised outside of the ancient Western societies and new "superpowers") and "venturing into communism", but a mere issue that the fundamentals to achieve non-famine plagued depressions in the intention to progress towards communism was not met, and that without solid leadership to provide what's best for the people, living becomes a safety issue that's just free falling into unregulated chaos. Which is a demonstration of the weaknesses of the laissez-faire leadership style during times of crisis or in situations that present safety risks.
Anyway, she just went "Huh. That's interesting."
Hope this informs anyone if you're seeking a basic evaluation of the history of trying to implement socialism, specifically with the end goal of achieving contextualised strains of communism in different countries (with reference to Türkiye, the USSR, and 毛泽东的 中国共产党(Mao Zedong's CCP)).

Not to mention most of these people bringing up indigenous cultures don't actually do anything in their activism to help them, and just use them as a scapegoat to be anti-vegan. Most vegan diets are actually low-cost such as beans and vegetables. This was a bad take.

The take that veganism (and not how it is advertised) is white-washed IS white-washing, it ignores vegans of color.

I might be white and vegan but the vegan community where I live is almost exclusively people of color, especially black people and the few indigenous individuals that live in my small hick red state town.
I hate people who try to disguise their hatred towards vegan living as activism.
(Edit: i also feel the need to add that i dont think people eating meat makes then animal abusers. I think the food industry and the way they treat the animals is abuse. Not everyone can afford a completely vegan lifestyle. I cant most if the time, but i try my best. Like... Damn that dude didn't have to whitesplain veganism when he clearly isn't vegan himself)

@@soup5634 you had me until the "people who eat animals arent abusing them" part. how is killing something that doesnt want to be killed, that doesn't have a voice, how is that not abuse?how is that morally justified? there is no ethical way to murder.

I respect your choices in that you are respecting the lives of animals, but I am a spiritual person and I also believe that eating animals is a part of the natural cycle of life, if they didn't come to an end by us then they would come to an end by something else, most likely another animal. I think the least we can do is minimize the suffering of said animal, but it's still a part of our nature to eat them. Also, I and alot of other people would have an extremely difficult time being healthy while doing so. I'm mineral deficient and fluctuate in iron deficiency, and I need to have at least some meat in my diet. Not to mention it also be way harder for me to build muscle, and one of the biggest things that helps with my dysphoria is working out.

@@straberryshinigami15g97 A lot of people cannot afford alternatives to meat. I'm not going to get mad at someone who cant afford to eat what i eat for not eating it. Not to mention evolutionarily, humans are omnivorous. Since we now have enough advancements that we can create alternatives, I don't see why we should eat meat. It's just that many people cannot afford not to. And food pantries/food charities rarely ever give out vegan or vegetarian food. I've had to give up my vegan diet multiple times due to income insecurity that made me have to go to food pantries.
Not everyone is able to avoid eating meat.

No they don’t. This is why we build universities as not just anyone is qualified to teach political theory let alone through something as simplistic as TikTok.
