There are two kinds of crocodile in australia, Freshwater ("freshies") crocs who only live in fresh water rivers, and Saltwater ("salties") who can live in both freshwater rivers and coastal waters.
Salties are the ones that get HUGE, talking 20 feet long.

I live about 4kms from Sydney city centre and regularly see Kookaburras, rainbow lorikeets, and brush turkeys. Kangaroos sometimes find themselves in outer suburban areas if there is bush land nearby.

The comments of "Australia is expensive" I think, can be deceiving. If you eat at the touristy places, the prices are jacked up. I am always shocked at the Sydney prices. However if you get out into the regional areas you will see normal prices. There are a number of videos about demonstrating this, for example Kaitlyn Amanda's channel where she compared "the average cost of groceries in Australia vs America" (taking into account the exchange rate. two months ago. Worth checking it out.

He kangaroo being rescued wasnt from a river it was at the edge of a lake in centre of Canberra Australias capital. ITt would probably have been ok because kangaroos can swim. The other kangaroo in the water was trying to drown the dog. They fake being hurt in the water to entice the dog to attack further then when close enough will hold it under water. People mistake kangaroos and koalas for being harmles cos theyre cute and fluffy. And they are but if they get annoyed by clueless tourists then theyll retaliate. And they can injure you. You wont see them in the inner city but its not unusual to see them in outer suburbs or small towns and in the country. You'll only see crocodiles up in the very north of Australia.and those particular lizards are found further inland where its much hotter and drier. The guy on his back "cycling" was attracting the attention of the emus which are very curious.

I like how many people in this clip think it's funny to get kicked at by a Kangaroo. I got into a minor squabble with an 8 foot male Eastern Grey when I was about 14. I still have the scars, and it took 367 stitches, 180 internal, 187 to close the massive tear in my stomach and chest and put my lower intestines back inside where they should be and sow me back up. If you think they are cuddly furry toys, think again. I'd rather have sex with lava than live through that again.....
But the MOST DANGEROUS animal anywhere in Australia is an 18 year old male looking for a root........................

Normally the wildlife is bought back to health and released back into the wild.

not a Porcupine (thats europe) .. its an Echidna :) This is a "monotreme", means it has breasts .. but lays eggs! :) clearly a thing halfway between dinosaurs and mammals .. Platypus is another one

  • @grandmothergoose
    @grandmothergoose Год назад

Australia is on top of the list for having animals with the most potent venoms, but Mexico tops the list for the highest number of venomous animal species. Mexico has dangerously venomous lizards, Australia does not. The spiky ball is an echidna, it's a monotreme (lays eggs), which is a type of marsupial (has a pouch), which is a type of mammal (warm blooded, fur, produces milk). Compilations like this does make it look like these things happen every day, but the reality is, they do happen, but rarely. Most people go years between wild animal encounters least of all interesting ones like these.

    Australia is very expensive.
Brisbane (AKA "Brizz Vegas") is pretty good but no beaches. Visit the Gold Coast (which is close) for beaches / theme parks and loads of fun.
Night life in Brizzy is pretty good.
Australia is expensive though, so be prepared for that.
Depends where you are as to what animals you see / encounter. You only get Crocs in troipcs, and snakes are hard to spot unless you know what to look for. I rarely see snakes and go bush walking all the time, they are around but they will avoid you more than you avoid them.
Koalas are sweet, but have sharp claws and good grip.
Kangaroos don't like dogs much because of dingo's hunting them. A kangaroo will always try to lure a dingo / dog into the water as they are good swimmers and can easily drown / gut the dog or dingo. Don't mess with a roo, but I did have many kangaroo buddies (who would come up to me and be gentle). It all depends on the energy you bring into the situation. If you freak out they will go for you.

  • @davidcruse6589

Nar not the norm to see koala's on ground normally breeding time or very hot looking for water 💦 as you see next to pool and the one that went in the house would've been to get out of heat it would live in trees next to the house's they actually sleep most of the time and the one's that looked like attacking are probably trying to climb the person as they'll climb to highest point when scared
Same with kangaroos in city pretty rare but when we have long droughts and very hot there's little water or feed grass for them to eat so will come in for water and eat lawn grass most of this was out in country side or in country towns
You where rite crocodiles are dinosaur's same for lizards you seen the echidna or also known as ant eaters as that's all they eat they have a long snout that they put in ants or termite nests and long tounge which is sticky and the ants stick to them but their out in the bush area's if you look up termites nest they are hughe about land over 6 ft
The main thing to remember is that they are wild animals and unpredictable if something scares them they'll try to protect themselves it automatically happens how they've survived so long
If your going to come across anything it'll be spiders or possibly a snake if come across a snake and it's not in attack mode like video just stand still if it hasn't seen you it'll move away from you or if your far enough away just slowly back up it won't chase you normally unless your close and it feels threatened they'll be the most common thing you might come across in city area's more chance of spiders then anything cheers mate love the site watching a while hope you get here soon to see family 🇦🇺🦘👍
