it's been so long since i was this invested in something, it still baffles me how much work was put into this, the perfect choice of music, the animation is so amazing it was all I could see in my first watch, the art is simply eye candy, every scene has so much power, the director/directors were a great choice, I can go hours just talking how much this is a masterpiece, it might have it's problems, but tbh, I don't think they're that bad, the problems are minimal compared to everything else, anyway, it's awesome in every way, that's what I meant to say xD

I went into Arcane wanting to waste some time and check out a new TV show. I left with the tragic, heartwrenching story of sisters fighting against a corrupt world where no one is truly evil nor good.
Silco is true evil. He just confuses you with his excuse of "I only do it for my people", when in reality he just wants that power and this is the easiest way to make people do what he wants because they all want out of their current situation. That alone does not make him evil, but the means he uses to get to that end show who he truly is, and why Vander wanted to put an end to him, because he steps over dead people and empty souls everywhere he goes, as he turns everyone he corrupts into empty shells, only to do his bidding. This is also why he said he loves Jinx and tells her that she is perfect, because he loves her for what he turned her into. She is perfect for him because he made her into something akin to himself, which he can control.
@@MrSheduur See that's the tricky part about Silco's character. Does he love Jinx or not? We have evidence for both, but at the end, Silco's love for Jinx, while twisted, is there. At the beginning, he was the classic monolouging villain, and we begin to see a break in his character when he meets Powder. Does he take her in because he saw an asset? Maybe. That makes sense from a storyline standpoint. Does he take her in because he saw a broken girl distraught because her older sibling betray her similarly to him? That poetic ending could work too. When he lets her inject him with shimmer, that was an act of trust that could be used in a villainous way or a loving way. When he saw her half dead on the bridge, did he run to her to save her because he was afraid of losing an asset or a child? We've seen Silco easily get around situations that involved having to deal with a setback. Losing Jinx would've been no problem. In fact, that removed the only threat of war. When he dies, he says that he loved her, and wouldn't give her up for anything. Did he know that that would hammer the last nail into the coffin of Powder? Maybe. Did he think that that would reassure her, and give her at least one moment of peace? Maybe. In the end, what I think makes him not a pure villain is the fact that we have evidence that he would care for Jinx with malicious intent, but also that he would love her for her. He's not one-dimensional which gives him a grey morality. And if we were to label him as a villain, we would be labelling a human for human acts. Silco is human.

Everytime I hear this song I can see Jinx holding that flare in her hand and it's giving me goosebumps so much. You've really outdone yourself there.
The circle shot combined with her dead friends she accidentally killed alongside the build up to that scene and the music in the background combined drama, tragedy and suspense so well.

The switch between Silco's temper tantrum and Vi and Caitlyn running and Jinx with the flare was visually the best scene for me in season one so much that I watch it daily. Vi flipping someone off still makes me laugh 😂
It could also be closure too. Looking for answers she couldn't get from Silco who fed her a steady diet of being something to fear and letting her monsters out.
This, "Playground" and "What could have been" might just be my favorite songs, not just in this show, ever. Their choice of songs was really spectacular! Just like everything else in this show lol. What a show.
dude i cant give this show enough credit of how much time and effort in making this show a really perfect show, and in all honesty, arcane is THE BEST animated series i've ever seen. I know it isn't fair to compare this show to animes, but i got to say nothing impresses me more than arcane, and i think arcane is the peak of how an animation and story could go. Cant wait to see the second season.
Jesus christ this got me right in the feels! Never thought an animation based on a game could be so gut wrenchingly heartbreaking and beautiful. What a perfect song song to that scene.....I'm reeling.... Woodkid....Wow!
Her unleashing the flare and raising her head, waving flare around like a flag as the camera pans out on beat is what gives me chills and makes me emotional.
I love this scene, it's made out of raw emotion, when Jinx lights the flare and rises it hopeless but still wanting Vi could see her, anywhere she was. And Mylo and claggor behind her, attached to her and her guilt for their deaths shows her PTSD, she's carrying all the guilt and sorrow, she lost her mind to forget it all but they were still there, ghosts haunting her.
Man, from an aesthetic perspective: the piece strats (tone, rhythm, harmony, etc.) are incredibly well developed. Related with the character and scene - in terms of plot and design- is just outrageous. Feels like all the serie was created for this cathartic moment. Amazing.
I love how this song feels like it’s taunting Silco. At this point in the story he’s fully losing control, all of his masterful schemes are unraveling. Markus is faltering. Jinx is faltering. Vi and Caitlyn are roaming free and he cannot stop them. He’s losing the trust of his followers. These walls are tumbling down, and it’s his own damn fault - I’d say he deserves his little rage moment.
Every time I hear the song I have to admit my eyes water. Arcane is by far the best series I've ever seen. The passion of the makers, the details, the music, the art, the depth, just amazing. And then there's Jinx... what an exciting yet tragic character.
This show is beautiful in every way. So many scenes that broke me watching this masterpiece of a series. Especially this scene, Jinx being constantly haunted by her past mistakes, and with Claggor and Mylo against her just hit different.
Never played LoL. I watched the show cuz a friend was nagging me to check it out. First three episodes had me in the fence but this was the scene where I knew I loved it. The crescendo of the song as Jinx lights the flare, trying to call her sister to her, it was an incredibly well put together scene. I love the music choices they made throughout the show. They had the somber string music, and then all of a sudden hip hop or alternative rock and then rap mixed in, it was bizarre but it fit the mood of the scenes so well. And the different art styles that would pepper the episodes, like the Ekko vs Jinx fight helped to keep it fresh. Riot did such a good job with this show. This song in particular along with Stings song for the finale are my favorites from the series
I need to be very honest... I cried during that scene. Jinx lighting up the flare and the camera showing Mylo at her back looking like himself was in agony. So much emotion. A masterpiece. Period.
I always found it interesting that Mylo never actually cried out when he was first pierced by the rod. But because he was Powders' biggest bully, it makes sense why he'd be wide mouthed.
People can be hipsters about this show and say it's not as good as everyone says, but with songs like this coupled with the scene it's in there's no wonder a lot of people who watched it enjoy it so much. If you're the type to only get enjoyment by raining on other people's parades then have fun surrounded by negativity all day with others that agree with you. Shows will always have flaws, but you can still enjoy a piece of media regardless, especially for something as tedious and underappreciated as animation.

I understand that series based on video games are underrated, but Arcane really deserves an award, it touches on both social and emotional issues that I have never felt before in a long time. I don't know what the emmy awards are based on but I hope they make at least one mention of this work of art.
it's been so long since i was this invested in something, it still baffles me how much work was put into this, the perfect choice of music, the animation is so amazing it was all I could see in my first watch, the art is simply eye candy, every scene has so much power, the director/directors were a great choice, I can go hours just talking how much this is a masterpiece, it might have it's problems, but tbh, I don't think they're that bad, the problems are minimal compared to everything else, anyway, it's awesome in every way, that's what I meant to say xD
and the most intersting is that ...is only a fraction of what lores offers to the fans...is just amazing for me..
Piltover's classism was so well portrayed
and the winner is..... Any Disney remake-movie-song-trailer-whatever present.. they miss the real gems
Good thing that it's not underrated. I believe Arcane was ranked 1 globally on Netflix, even overpassed Squid game
It's so heartbreaking as it is her last cry for help with the last drop of trust in someone to find the little girl crying inside her. And sadly we all know where it went to eventually and inevitably ... It's no one's fault but it happened with all the past that haunts everyone in their own storyline.
Damn. You got it right!
I hate it, they were all hugging and stuff and suddenly all goes to shit.
They love and need each other, why cant they just be together. I need a happy ending for the sisters so bad pls
It's not "noones" fault. It's very obviously directly Silco and indirectly the systems that Piltover oppress Zaun with. And Powder is a coward. So she becomes Jinx. The other kids were right. Sometimes you just stay and take a beating.

@@justyouraveragelimeenjoyer8675 this comment speaks nothing but the truth that’s why Silco is such a good complex character I wanted to dislike him so bad but I really couldn’t and was even saddened by his death it’s crazy how they flip your mind and perspective on who the villain is

Amazing.
First time I heard of Woodkid was for Assassin’s Creed with his track Iron. Years later he still doesn’t disappoint. Another amazing track!

All of the Arcane music goes completely with the scenes, its just too good for one show
I need to be very honest...
My heart literally expanded in my chest when 1:06 played during the actual episode. I had tears and I didn't know why.

I think this is one of the most beautiful male singing voice ive ever heard. fell in love with his technic at 0:50 and out
People can be hipsters about this show and say it's not as good as everyone says, but with songs like this coupled with the scene it's in there's no wonder a lot of people who watched it enjoy it so much. If you're the type to only get enjoyment by raining on other people's parades then have fun surrounded by negativity all day with others that agree with you. Shows will always have flaws, but you can still enjoy a piece of media regardless, especially for something as tedious and underappreciated as animation.
Full of comments tamking about ppl who could not like the show but literaly nobody said that so i dont rly understand.. u guys rly have pentaly issues when it s about trying to get some likes
@@bestwar_ I've only heard praises as well. I even got my sister into it, who was hooked right at the start, and she hates cartoons, saying it's for kids rofl now she's sort of simping for Vi.
@@AB-vp9mi There are a handful of people out there that didn't like it. Quite literally, a handful out of millions... But they DO exist.
@@Dilligff Probably Anti-art fellas, because even the first humans loved carvings and drawings.
Anyone saying its not a masterpiece obviously cant tell when there’s something good in front of them and just lack the taste and nuisance to understand it.
Epic moment when jinx lighting and the sound of desperation where jinx still got haunted by her dead friends milo hang behind her imaging the voice of cry damn goosebumps. Hat’s off to riot compiling every scene with amazing music track
