Randomness Exploration | 0-Coast | SQ-1

Taking a moment to appreciate the structure of the 0-Coast's Overtone section to make another video in the same vein as the last one, with a few subtle twists. Modulation sources are slightly different, with the SQ-1 having more to do this time around. I've selected the dual row back-and-forwards sequence and the top row is triggering the 0-Coast.
Both rows run out of synchronisation by changing the relative number of steps in each row that are active. These are changed during the performance. The bottom row (CV-B) is sent to the Overtone section of the wavefolder.
Additional modulation comes from the built-in Stepped Random Generator, whose output is mixed with the Squarewave LFO and sent to the Balance CV input and Slope Time input. A stack cable is used to mult the SRG output to the core oscillator Linear FM input. The output of the Slope circuit is normalled to the Multiply section but I've also taken a copy and fed it into the Contour Decay control.

Have you ever considered the SQ-64? I think I'd go for a second SQ-1 instead😂

Thanks!!!! In truth, I hadn't, but it's an intriguing proposition. As you say, a second SQ-1 might get me there (and probably cheaper!). Having said that, I've just received my Expert Sleepers FH-2, so the NDLR or the BeatStep can drive some CV outputs directly now. Think that takes care of all my basic sequencing needs for the time being.

Yeah, I ordered an Expert Sleepers FH-2 with the MIDI breakout panel for my Eurorack modular box. Gonna be using that for some upcoming projects
