As an FYI, my gut tells me that 21mph average speed in the AICW might be tough to accomplish given no-wake zones, shoaling (particularly in SC and GA) which might block some of your travel day due to shallow depths, and general courtesies extended to your fellow boaters. The ICW has many populated areas where you'll be operating for extended periods in no-wake mode which means that your trip will have a bi-modal speed profile - no-wake slow and on plane. If you haven't already done so, I recommend that you create a speed/rpm/fuel burn/MPG chart for your particular boat and use it as part of your planning both before your trip and when on the water. You'll find that there are efficiency "break points", with MPG tending to increase significantly after you pass an efficient plane speed of say 24-28mph. Clearly operating at hull speed (around 7-8 mph) is the most efficient operating point but that's not how your boat is intended to function - but it might represent your speed in / around populated areas. Good luck.

Thanks for the Comments! I have since Travel the ICW the video will be coming soon, I do agree Average 21mph did not happen and it was going slow and fast at certain times depending on traffic and how shallow the water was. Good news was that I made it to Jacksonville, Florida it took around 12 days. My boat's most efficient cruising speed is around 26mph, but i would travel 34mph if the water was flat, which save a bit of time but did burn a bit more fuel.

Also the timing of small low draw bridges need to be considered if you have a flybridge.

It’s called the INTRAcoastal, not INTERcoastal. Read a chart or a sign.
