I played the crap out of this album back then, While they were really known for "No Rain" and the video for it, it wasn't a good representation of their sound. But it got people to buy their album and realize there were some great tracks on it. He sounds very/more raspy here live but I don't mind it. No autotune or pitch correct or whatever. The band sounded tight. This was an odd time for music. I remember seeing Rush in 1994 around the time this album blew up and they had Candlebox open for them at the Worcester Centrum and I had never heard of them either at the time. Most people in the audience quickly shut up and enjoyed their show as they were great that night. I went out and bought the album next day and then they blew up as well for a bit. I think other bands back then that hooked me a little were Live (Throwing Copper), the Cranberries (although they stayed relevant even after Dolores died), 311, Counting Crows and a few others. I think most I saw on MTV's Alt Nation show.
I'm a rock drummer and I'm a lefty; but never ever thought to set up kit right to left - too late now. Thanks, enjoyed! Can't wait to see where you go next.
The first BM album was fantastic. More dual guitar southern rock than their big hit would suggest. I saw them live at Woodstock in 94. They were not in great form, I think Shannon was really out of it. It wasn’t too long after that that he died.
Classic 👍👍👍🔥

My take on the vibe: Spin Doctors with Perry Farrell on lead vocal.
Not bad

Cool song.
I was all over this first album and "Soup" in the 90's. The song "Galaxie" is a favorite.
My preference would be the 90s keep bringing it on!
I loved this band, such a shame about Shannon😢 RIP 🙏 dude😊

Or maybe some 90s looking late 80s like Jesus Jones - just a suggestion 😅
Pick boston foreplay/Longtime 🎉❤😂
