the King of Spades was established as a traditional game this very episode, we just never see them register bc his game area is the entire world, and the game is just if you can kill him before he kills everybody. and yeah Kyuma being a nudist is a lot, but it does play into stuff about his character in episode 2 and 3
King of Spade's arena is the entire city. No registration nor rules. You will know his location since the blimp is following where he is. Basically, his game is simply, to kill or to be killed.
Having read a lot of mangas from many countries. I truly think comparing Squid Game and AiB is actually a joke. Japan is extremely popular with this type of shows (survival games and tons of anime with slice of life content that I personally love) I can clearly tell that Korea has made Squid Game based on this type of japanese manga genre (like how they remake "Money Heist"...literally a joke). Where as China is popular with their "travel back to ancient time" type of genre. Korea is popular with their dramas, they are good at making things more dramatic. Squid Game could have done better if it was a Japanese production tbh. I feel like SG does not live to its fullest potential where as AiB is based on a manga, which as a rich and engaging content. In the manga, the story is much more interesting and not only focused on the main char Arisu and it really trigger people to think more. Having squeeze a whole season of the manga series into 8 episodes of shows, the production team has done a great job, mostly all crucial parts are being covered.
This was a good introduction episode to have some crazy hype at the start, but also take sometime to reintroduce the main characters. It's good to have a balance of action and to also take some time with the characters in less hectic moments, so it's more impactful when they are at risk of danger, for us to care.

Rooting for the King of Clubs team cuz they looks so f*cking cool. That intro was fire
