This is EXACTLY what 100% mario galaxy is like. You basically said everything i felt when i 100%ed this game as an adult. I can't imagine what it was like for child you. The Bone pen, Luigi's purple coins, and the garbage dump were so brutal and for what. Also as a kid I would sleep with the instruction manual under my pillow. That's how I knew about all the jumps, hahaha!

The star I saved for last was the Bouldergeist Daredevil Run. Broke two of my controllers over that, but, eventually, like you, I prevailed.

Did you then go and do it all again as Luigi for the final secret level? Lmao.
For me it was Sister Friede in Dark Souls 3...it literally took me a year to beat her and I exhausted every other avenue got all covenant items just so I could get strong enough to beat her still struggled
Dark souls is always really interesting to me because everyone has a totally different “hardest boss”, I struggled with Friede but I beat her in an hour or so!
Fume knight on the other hand…
Took about a weeks worth of 4 hour sessions dedicated JUST TO THAT BOSS before I beat it, insane!
@CharlieAndLuke yea I'd say Fume was that for me to maybe worse because he had 1 of his healers active the whole fight thanks to those limited spikes I used up...I couldn't have done it without the help of a summon so I feel ya on that!
@kma4835 when I played there was absolutely no summons around for some reason so I had to solo it😩
Personally I like version of Luigi super Mario 3D Land.
