*On the one side of our bed it is super narrow to get in and out and making it is a pain **MyseIf.Furniture** and our sheets tend to always want to pull off to one side until eventually it pops off in the middle of the night. excellent product, i am a professional mover, i am 58 yrs, i have moved thousands of houses, this is the best invention ever created for moving, we were able to move the heaviest furniture anywhere , 2nd , 3rd, floor, to me its actually makes the weight 60 to 70 percent lighter, therefor i am not dead at the end of the job, i cannot say enough for this product, God bless you for an awesome product
11 years after this video was posted and I want to say a massive thankyou. Awesome video, just straight knowledge and helped me so much. Thankyou thankyou thankyou and God bless
I came here today because we had a washing machine delivered by two guys who used this system. I had never seen it before, and wanted to learn more about it. thanks for a clear explanation.. Best of luck!
I'm impressed. Very well thought out. Thank you for inviting the Shoulder dolly. I've been a warehouseman/ truck driver for 31 years. I've seen a lot and this is a great invention.
Recently bought one to move out washer upstairs and this made it super easy. I wish I had this 20 yrs ago when we had to move my mother in law from her 3rd story apartment building that didn't have an elevator 😅
I bought a set of "Forearm Forklift" straps several years ago and they have worked out fantastically. It's amazing how much easier it is to move heavy things, especially those things that don't have any sort of handles (like bookcases). It literally feels like the object weighs 1/4 as much as trying to lift with just your hands and arms. The Forearm Forklift is about 1/2 the price, but if you are moving a lot of stuff with it, I would suggest getting the shoulder dolly. The harness looks like it would be substantially easier to use and much more comfortable.
I have seen my share of instructional videos... You did a fantastic job explaining common mistakes in numerous scenarios. I'm buying this TODAY! Thank you...
Wow could have used this years ago at my moving company! Our boss made us carry everything by hand into house no handtrucks allowed! Our fingers and hands would kill us on long days, great invention!
Great instructional video. I bought this product over the competition because of this video as well as the wider 5” strap. Used it to move a commercial oven with ease
I am not a mover. Professional or otherwise. I just wanted to express how impressive your product appears and the same for your instructional video. I wish you much success with this endeavor..
As regards avoiding swaying, one of the things you guys did very well was to not be "in step" while moving. I think you'd be more likely to wobble if one guy's right foot was leading, and the guy walking backward was leading with his left. Easy to see you guys have done this before--you're a good team.
lol... That's Thomas Dent in the video. He was the inventor of the Shoulder Dolly. Robert Manciero shot this at our house in Glendale just before he died back in 2010. I think Robert did some videos for you guys too.
Started a moving job recently and remembered using these a couple years ago while helping a friend move. Bought a set right away and it's amazing. Any advice to prevent slipping? When I stand up usually the strap slips an inch or two. Haven't dropped anything but I worry that it could happen
This is an excellent video. I've seen some that combines a moving blanket and straps. Basically to protect expensive furniture. Would you know what that's called?
Damn this should be the video I watched for my new job I'm gonna show them this because they keep hitting my foot when I am top going up stairs my shine hurts
can this be used with a very heavy, long ranch oak dresser, going up a flight of basement steps? The dresser top is about 3 ft from the ground (as in 3 FT. TALL).
@6:25 tip your piece... tipping it dangerously because if its top heavy, nobody is stopping it from tipping over and if one or both apply too much pressure it will fall over and no one will save it. this is quite a handy tool for inexperienced people or people who arent acustomed to lifting something heavy for movers however applying this takes 5 times the time it takes to get any piece anywhere... but thats the point of it all, its ment for non professionals. a washing machine weighing 230 pounds goes up 2 stairs in 1 minute when professionals do it getting the harness prepped and getting acustomed to it takes 10-20 minutes, but then again, someone inexperienced with heavy lifting wont even get it up 2 stairs without such a tool
Seems both guys would need to pull about the same amount of strap out or one guys end would be higher off the ground than the others. Or if one person is alot taller than the other. How is this best resolved? Thanks
Instead of bending down so far just go down a little then pick up the unit put something under it temporarily then get another bite on it ,your not bending so far when you're ready move the temp piece and you're off!
The items balance on the straps and allow easy gripping by hand to keep them steady. Once you lift the item it is like dancing with it. You quickly learn the balance and moving therefore allowing a every easy way to lift and carry.
Great system, but I think you need a better system for holding the excess strap length - can see it falling down at 9:41, which would surely be a bit of a trip hazard!
We have this and tried to use it.... I am not sure what we are doing wrong but the straps slip (in the buckle) when we stand up. Do you have any suggestions?
I need to talk with someone about my Shoulder Dolly I don't know what happened when mine came it only had one end and the 5in. 12 ft.paice I have two not three pieces
Dude! The guys who delivered my refrigerator used this to go up steep stairs. It was like magic, I hope you've made a million.
I want me a refrigerate too.
Im about to use these to move a 162 pound wardrobe up to flight's of stairs in about to minutes

No hand trucks??? Did he want you to be worn out 1hr into the job? That's silly
Very cool. I have seen these used before and it is shocking to see how easy it appears to be to move something. A great idea!
Great instructional video. I bought this product over the competition because of this video as well as the wider 5” strap. Used it to move a commercial oven with ease
I used the shoulder dolly with two guys to lift a 600lb 120 year old upright grand piano with no problem and place a 4 wheel dolly underneath.
Thank you for the video, there are some good techniques I learned from
thank you for this nicely detailed video
Thank you for the video. This was helpful.

Do items tip off the dolly easily or is it pretty secure once it's on the straps?
